Abstract
The present disclosure is directed to a process for preparing lanifibranor comprising: a) reacting 5-chloroindole with 2-(4-bromobutoxy)tetrahydropyran in a solvent; b) reacting the compound obtained in step a) with 1,3-benzothiazole-6-sulfonyl chloride in a solvent; c) deprotecting the compound obtained in step b); d) oxidizing the compound obtained in step c).
