Abstract
Description
[Technical Field]
[0001] This invention relates to a gas-blocking fire extinguishing device, and more particularly to a gas-blocking fire extinguishing device that can be installed in parking spaces or flammable material storage areas, and can effectively suppress the fire source when a fire occurs. [Previous Technology]
[0002] When a lithium battery in an electric vehicle catches fire, extinguishing it is extremely difficult. Ordinary fire extinguishers are often insufficient to completely extinguish the fire. Usually, only a fire blanket (also known as a fireproof blanket) can be used to cover the vehicle to prevent the fire from spreading and reduce damage. However, the process of using a fire blanket is relatively complicated and requires manual operation. It cannot quickly cover the vehicle, and the user must be close to the fire source, which raises safety concerns. For example, when an electric vehicle catches fire, it may cause thermal runaway, endangering firefighters. [Summary of the Invention]
[0003] The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a gas-blocking fire extinguishing device that has an automatic, fast and safe fire extinguishing effect, in order to address the shortcomings of the prior art.
[0004] To solve the above-mentioned technical problems, the present invention provides a gas-blocking fire extinguishing device, which is installed in an installation position and includes: a cover, the cover being made of a flexible non-combustible material, the cover being capable of being in a retracted state and an extended state, the cover being rolled up when in the retracted state, the cover including a top plate and four side wall plates, the upper ends of the four side wall plates being respectively connected to the four sides of the top plate, and the two sides of the four side wall plates being connected to each other; at least one tensioning mechanism, the tensioning mechanism being connected to one side of the top plate of the cover; and a control mechanism, the control mechanism being connected to the cover; wherein when a fire signal is received, the tensioning mechanism can be used to stretch the cover, causing the cover to unfold horizontally and position the cover above the flammable material, and the control mechanism can be used to control the release of the cover, causing the cover to be in an extended state, the cover being able to automatically droop down by gravity, and thus cover the flammable material.
[0005] Preferably, the cover can be provided with fold lines by sewing or staples, so that the cover can be folded and assembled along the fold lines.
[0006] Preferably, a counterweight is provided at the lower end of the cover so that when the cover is in an extended state, the bottom end of the cover can be in close contact with the ground.
[0007] Preferably, the flammable material is an electric vehicle, the electric vehicle is connected to a charging cable, and a counterweight sleeve is provided on the charging cable, the counterweight sleeve corresponding to a side wall piece of the cover.
[0008] Preferably, the control mechanism includes a power source and a control component. The control component is connected to the power source and the cover. The power source can drive the control component to move, so that the control component can move between a first position and a second position. When the control component is in the first position, it can control the cover to be in a retracted state. When the control component is in the second position, it can control the cover to be in an extended state.
[0009] The beneficial effects of the present invention are as follows: The gas-blocking fire extinguishing device provided by the present invention includes a cover, at least one stretching mechanism, and a control mechanism. The cover is made of a flexible non-combustible material and can be in a retracted state and an extended state. When the cover is in the retracted state, it forms a rolled-up shape. The cover includes a top plate and four side wall plates. The upper ends of the four side wall plates are respectively connected to the four sides of the top plate, and the two sides of the four side wall plates are connected to each other. The stretching mechanism is connected to one side of the top plate of the cover, and the control mechanism is connected to the cover. When a fire signal is received, the stretching mechanism can be used to stretch the cover, so that the cover unfolds horizontally and is positioned above the flammable material. The control mechanism can control the release of the cover, so that the cover is in an extended state. The cover can automatically droop down by gravity and cover the flammable material. It can extinguish the flame by blocking the oxygen supply and prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding objects, thereby achieving the fire extinguishing effect and effectively preventing the emission of harmful substances, thus achieving the effect of both extinguishing the fire and preventing the spread of the fire. The cover of this invention can automatically cover a burning vehicle, significantly improving the efficiency and safety of fire rescue for electric vehicles. At a fire scene, if the fire originates from adjacent or nearby flammable materials rather than the vehicle itself, the cover, while covering the flammable materials, can also prevent it from being sprayed by fire-fighting water or flame-retardant liquids such as foam, providing waterproofing and enhanced protection. If the cover is not damaged, it can be recycled and reused, and the fire extinguishing device can be used without a water supply. It is normally stored away, making it easy to store and is also suitable for fires caused by chemicals. Therefore, it achieves reusability, convenient storage, waterproofing, and enhanced protection, and can be used both indoors and outdoors, with automatic, rapid, and safe operation.

In addition, the term "or" used herein should be interpreted as potentially including any combination of one or more of the associated listed items, depending on the actual situation.
[0012] [Example]
[0013] Please refer to Figure 1. This invention provides a gas-blocking fire extinguishing device, which is installed at an installation position 100 (as shown in Figure 4). The installation position 100 can be located above a parking space or a flammable material storage area, and can be a building (such as a ceiling) or a support structure, etc., without limitation. The gas-blocking fire extinguishing device of this invention can be used indoors or outdoors, and its application is not limited.
[0014] Please refer to Figures 2 and 3 again. The gas-blocking fire extinguishing device includes a cover 1, at least one tensioning mechanism 2, and a control mechanism 3. The cover 1 is made of a flexible non-combustible material. The cover 1 is a non-combustible component and can be made of fire-extinguishing treated fabric. The cover 1 can be made of inorganic textile materials with high-temperature resistant surface treatment, or it can be made of glass fiber. The cover 1 can be folded up and can be in a retracted state and an extended state. When the cover 1 is in the retracted state, it can be rolled up. When the cover 1 is in the extended state, it can be in a cuboid shape. In the normal state, the cover 1 is in the retracted state. In this embodiment, the cover 1 includes a top plate 11 and four side wall plates 12. The top plate 11 is square. The upper ends of the four side wall plates 12 are respectively connected to the four sides of the top plate 11, and the two sides of the four side wall plates 12 are connected to each other to form a square hollow cover 1. In this embodiment, the cover 1 can be provided with fold lines 13 by means of sewing or staples, so that the cover 1 can be folded and assembled along the fold lines 13, allowing the cover 1 to be quickly stored and extended. When stored, the cover 1 is flat, which saves space.
[0015] The stretching mechanism 2 can be an elastic stretching device, etc. One, two, or more stretching mechanisms 2 can be provided. The stretching mechanism 2 is connected to one side of the top sheet 11 of the cover 1, and can quickly stretch the cover 1 horizontally so that the cover 1 is positioned above flammable materials. In this embodiment, the stretching mechanism 2 is an elastic winding stretching mechanism. The stretching mechanism 2 has a linkage 21, one end of which is connected to the outer end of the wound-up cover 1.
[0016] The stretching mechanism 2 and the cover 1 can be fixed to a support frame 4. The cover 1 can be folded and rolled up on a pivot 41 at one end of the support frame 4, and the stretching mechanism 2 is located at the other end of the support frame 4. When a fire signal is received, such as a signal from a fire alarm system or other detection device, the cover 1 can be stretched using the linkage 21 of the stretching mechanism 2, causing the cover 1 to unfold horizontally (as shown in Figure 3) and be positioned above flammable materials. Under normal conditions, the stretching mechanism 2 is in a fixed state and will not perform any stretching action. When a fire signal is received, the stretching mechanism 2 can be controlled to stretch the cover 1 horizontally using electric or other means. For example, the stretching mechanism 2 can be controlled to be in a fixed state under normal conditions and will not stretch the cover 1, but will stretch the cover 1 horizontally only when a fire signal is received.
[0017] The control mechanism 3 is connected to the cover 1. When a fire signal is received, such as a signal from a fire alarm system or other detection device, the control mechanism 3 can automatically or manually release the cover 1 so that the cover 1 can be extended. The cover 1 can automatically droop down by gravity and cover the vehicle or other flammable materials 200 (as shown in Figure 5), thereby achieving the effect of extinguishing fire and preventing the spread of fire.
[0018] A counterweight 5 may also be provided at the lower end of the cover 1. The counterweight 5 may be a chain or the like. The counterweight 5 may be provided on the outer side of the lower end of the cover 1 so that when the cover 1 is in an extended state, the bottom end of the cover 1 can be close to the ground to prevent air from entering, thereby increasing the sealing effect. The counterweight 5 may also accelerate the downward extension of the cover 1.
[0019] In this embodiment, the flammable material 200 is an electric vehicle. The flammable material 200 (electric vehicle) can be connected to a charging cable 201 (as shown in Figure 5) for charging. The charging cable 201 is equipped with a counterweight sleeve 202, which corresponds to one side wall panel 12 of the cover 1, allowing the charging cable 201 to be in close contact with the ground at the position corresponding to the cover 1. When the cover 1 is in an extended state, the charging cable 201 will not interfere with the bottom end of the cover 1 contacting the ground, thus providing better airtightness to the cover 1.
[0020] The cover 1 can be automatically or manually controlled to extend, and the structure of the control mechanism 3 is not limited. In this embodiment, the cover 1 is in a retracted state under normal conditions (as shown in Figure 2), and the cover 1 is stored in the installation position 100. When needed, the cover 1 can be stretched horizontally by the stretching mechanism 2 to be positioned above the flammable material 200, and then the control mechanism 3 can be used to control the cover 1 to extend, so that the cover 1 can automatically droop down by gravity and cover the flammable material 200 such as the vehicle (as shown in Figure 5).
[0021] As shown in Figures 1 to 3, the control mechanism 3 may include a power source 32 and a control component 33. The control component 33 is connected to the power source 32 and the cover 1. The power source 32 can drive the control component 33 to move between a first position A and a second position B (as shown in Figure 3). When the control component 33 is in the first position A, it can control the cover 1 to be in a retracted state. When the control component 33 is in the second position B, it can control the cover 1 to be in an extended state.
[0022] In this embodiment, the control mechanism 3 may include multiple upper hooks 31, a power source 32, and a control element 33. The upper hooks 31 are disposed at the upper end of the cover 1. The control element 33 is connected to the power source 32, which may be a motor or other power device. The power source 32 can drive the control element 33 to move horizontally, allowing the control element 33 to move between a first position A and a second position B. Under normal conditions, the power source 32 drives the control element 33 to move to the first position A; when a fire signal is received, the power source 32 drives the control element 33 to move to the second position B.
[0023] The control component 33 has multiple notches 331 and multiple hanging parts 332. The notches 331 are located on one side of the hanging parts 332. When the control component 33 is in the first position A, the upper hooks 31 correspond to the hanging parts 332 respectively, so that the upper hooks 31 are hung on the hanging parts 332 respectively, and the cover 1 can be located in the installation position 100. When the control component 33 is in the second position B, the upper hooks 31 correspond to the notches 331 respectively, so that the upper hooks 31 can fall downward through the notches 331 respectively, so that the cover 1 can fall downward and cover the vehicle or other flammable materials 200.
[0024] The control element 33 can also be configured in a guide element 34 (as shown in Figure 6), so that the control element 33 can move horizontally stably by being guided by the guide element 34, and the control element 33 can move between the first position A and the second position B.
