Description

[Technical Field]

[0001] This invention relates to a fire extinguishing device, and more particularly to a fire extinguishing device that can be installed in parking spaces or other places where flammable materials are stored, and can effectively suppress the fire source when a fire occurs. [Previous Technology]

[0002] When a lithium battery in an electric vehicle catches fire, extinguishing it is extremely difficult. Ordinary fire extinguishers are often insufficient to completely extinguish the fire. Usually, only a fire blanket (also known as a fireproof blanket) can be used to cover the vehicle to prevent the fire from spreading and reduce damage. However, the process of using a fire blanket is relatively complicated and requires manual operation. It cannot quickly cover the vehicle, and the user must be close to the fire source, which raises safety concerns. For example, when an electric vehicle catches fire, it may cause thermal runaway, endangering firefighters. [Summary of the Invention]

[0003] The technical problem to be solved by the present invention is to provide a fire extinguishing device that has automatic, fast and safe fire extinguishing effect, in order to overcome the shortcomings of the prior art.

[0004] To solve the above-mentioned technical problems, the present invention provides a fire extinguishing device, which is installed at an installation location. The fire extinguishing device includes: a cover made of a flexible non-combustible material, which can be in a retracted state and an extended state. The cover includes a top plate and four side wall plates, the upper ends of which are respectively connected to the four sides of the top plate, and the two sides of which are connected to each other; and a control mechanism connected to the cover. When a fire signal is received, the control mechanism can control the release of the cover, so that the cover is in an extended state. The cover can automatically droop by gravity and cover a flammable material.

[0005] Preferably, the four side wall panels of the cover are wrinkled panels, forming a serpentine tube shape.

[0006] Preferably, a counterweight is provided at the lower end of the cover so that when the cover is in an extended state, the bottom end of the cover can be in close contact with the ground.

[0007] Preferably, the top sheet of the cover has a two-layer structure and is provided with cracks that form a misalignment.

[0008] Preferably, the flammable material is an electric vehicle, the electric vehicle is connected to a charging cable, and a counterweight sleeve is provided on the charging cable, the counterweight sleeve corresponding to a side wall piece of the cover.

[0009] Preferably, the control mechanism includes a power source and a control component. The control component is connected to the power source and the cover. The power source can drive the control component to move, so that the control component can move between a first position and a second position. When the control component is in the first position, it can control the cover to be in a retracted state. When the control component is in the second position, it can control the cover to be in an extended state.

[0010] The beneficial effects of the present invention are as follows: The fire extinguishing device provided by the present invention includes a cover and a control mechanism. The cover is made of a flexible, non-combustible material and can be in a retracted state and an extended state. The cover includes a top plate and four side wall plates. The upper ends of the four side wall plates are respectively connected to the four sides of the top plate, and the two sides of the four side wall plates are connected to each other. The control mechanism is connected to the cover. When a fire signal is received, the control mechanism can control the release of the cover, so that the cover is in an extended state. The cover can automatically droop by gravity and cover the flammable material. It can extinguish the flame by blocking the oxygen supply and prevent the fire from spreading to surrounding objects, thereby achieving the fire extinguishing effect and effectively preventing the emission of harmful substances, thus achieving the effect of both extinguishing the fire and preventing the fire from spreading. At the fire scene, if the flammable material is not itself on fire, but an adjacent or nearby flammable material is on fire, the cover can cover the flammable material and prevent it from being sprayed by fire-fighting water or fire-retardant liquids such as foam, thus providing waterproof and enhanced protection. If the enclosure is undamaged, it can be recycled and reused, and the fire extinguishing device can be used without a water supply. It is normally stored away, making it easy to store, and is also suitable for fires caused by chemicals. Therefore, it achieves reusability, convenient storage, waterproofing, and enhanced protection, and can be used both indoors and outdoors, providing automatic, rapid, and safe fire extinguishing effects.

In addition, the term "or" used herein should be interpreted as possibly including any combination of one or more of the associated listed items, depending on the actual situation.

[0013] [Example]

[0014] Please refer to Figures 1 and 2. The present invention provides a fire extinguishing device, which is installed at an installation position 100 (as shown in Figure 3). The installation position 100 can be located above a parking space or a flammable material storage area, and can be a building (such as a ceiling) or a support structure, etc., without limitation. The fire extinguishing device of the present invention can be used indoors or outdoors, and the application is not limited.

[0015] The fire extinguishing device includes a cover 1 and a control mechanism 2. The cover 1 is made of a flexible, non-combustible material. The cover 1 is a non-combustible component and can be made of fire-extinguishing treated fabric. The cover 1 can be made of inorganic textile materials with high-temperature resistant surface treatment, or it can be made of fiberglass. The cover 1 can be folded up and can be in a stowed state or an extended state. In the stowed state, the cover 1 can form a flat shape, and in the extended state, it can form a cuboid shape. In the normal state, the cover 1 is in the stowed state. In this embodiment, the cover 1 includes a top plate 11 and four side wall plates 12. The top plate 11 is square, and the upper ends of the four side wall plates 12 are respectively connected to the four sides of the top plate 11. The two sides of the four side wall plates 12 are connected to each other to form a square hollow cover 1.

[0016] In this embodiment, the four side wall panels 12 of the cover 1 are corrugated panels, forming a serpentine tube shape, allowing the cover 1 to be quickly stored and extended. When stored, the cover 1 is flat, saving space and facilitating storage. The control mechanism 2 is connected to the cover 1. When a fire signal is received, such as a signal from a fire alarm system or other detection device, the control mechanism 2 can automatically or manually release the cover 1, allowing it to extend. The cover 1 can automatically droop using gravity, covering flammable materials such as vehicles 200 (as shown in Figure 4), achieving both fire extinguishing and fire prevention.

[0017] A counterweight 3 may also be provided at the lower end of the cover 1. The counterweight 3 may be a chain or the like. The counterweight 3 may be provided on the outer side of the lower end of the cover 1 so that when the cover 1 is in an extended state, the bottom end of the cover 1 can be close to the ground to prevent air from entering, thereby increasing the sealing effect. The counterweight 3 may also accelerate the downward extension of the cover 1.

[0018] The top panel 11 of the cover 1 is closed, and the top panel 11 can also be configured as a two-layer structure (as shown in Figure 5), with staggered cracks 111 between the upper and lower layers, allowing devices such as sprinkler heads 300 (as shown in Figure 4) or detectors to pass through, achieving a better airtight effect. Additionally, the top panel 11 of the cover 1 can also be equipped with Velcro 13 for fixing devices such as smoke detectors 400 or LEDs.

[0019] In this embodiment, the flammable object 200 is an electric vehicle. The flammable object 200 (electric vehicle) can be connected to a charging cable 201 (as shown in Figure 4) for charging. The charging cable 201 is equipped with a counterweight sleeve 202, which corresponds to one side wall panel 12 of the cover 1, allowing the charging cable 201 to be positioned as close to the ground as possible. When the cover 1 is in an extended state, the charging cable 201 will not interfere with the bottom of the cover 1 contacting the ground, thus providing better airtightness to the cover 1.

[0020] The cover 1 can be automatically or manually controlled to extend. In this embodiment, the cover 1 is normally in a retracted state (as shown in Figure 2), and is stored in the installation position 100. When needed, the control mechanism 2 can be used to control the cover 1 to extend, so that the cover 1 can automatically droop under gravity and cover the vehicle or other flammable material 200. The structure of the control mechanism 2 is not limited. The control mechanism 2 can fix the cover 1 in the retracted state, and when needed, the control mechanism 2 can release the cover 1, so that the cover 1 can automatically droop under gravity to cover the vehicle or other flammable material 200.

[0021] As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the control mechanism 2 may include a power source 22 and a control component 23. The control component 23 is connected to the power source 22 and the cover 1. The power source 22 can drive the control component 23 to move between a first position A and a second position B. When the control component 23 is in the first position A, it can control the cover 1 to be in a retracted state. When the control component 23 is in the second position B, it can control the cover 1 to be in an extended state.

[0022] In this embodiment, the control mechanism 2 may include multiple upper hooks 21, a power source 22, and a control element 23. The upper hooks 21 are disposed at the upper end of the cover 1. The control element 23 is connected to the power source 22, which may be a motor or other power device. The power source 22 can drive the control element 23 to move horizontally, so that the control element 23 can move between a first position A and a second position B (as shown in Figure 2). Under normal conditions, the power source 22 drives the control element 23 to move to the first position A; when a fire signal is received, the power source 22 drives the control element 23 to move to the second position B.

[0023] The control member 23 has multiple notches 231 and multiple hanging parts 232. The notches 231 are located on one side of the hanging parts 232. When the control member 23 is in the first position A (as shown in Figure 2), the upper hooks 21 correspond to the hanging parts 232 respectively, so that the upper hooks 21 are hung on the hanging parts 232 respectively, and the cover 1 can be located in the installation position 100. When the control member 23 is in the second position B, the upper hooks 21 correspond to the notches 231 respectively, so that the upper hooks 21 can fall downward through the notches 231 respectively, and the cover 1 can fall downward.

[0024] The lower end of the cover 1 may also be provided with multiple hooks 24, which can be hung on the holding parts 232 respectively, so that the cover 1 can be fixed in the storage state. When the control member 23 is in the second position B, the hooks 24 provided at the lower end of the cover 1 correspond to the notches 231 respectively, and the hooks 24 can fall down through the notches 231 respectively, so that the cover 1 can be extended smoothly.

[0025] The control element 23 can also be configured in a guide element 25 (as shown in Figure 6), so that the control element 23 can move horizontally stably by being guided by the guide element 25, and the control element 23 can move between the first position A and the second position B.
