Description

Technical Field

[0001] This invention relates to a solution recovery system, and more particularly to an organic compound solution recovery system and method. Prior Technology

[0002] Currently, organic compound solutions are frequently used in the technology and manufacturing industries. For example, isopropanol solution is commonly used to rinse and clean existing glass substrates. The concentration of used isopropanol solution (waste liquid) is typically between 4% and 8%. Although this concentration is not high, it still needs to be treated by waste liquid disposal companies. In the long run, the accumulated treatment costs will be quite substantial. Summary of the Invention

[0003] Therefore, the objective of this invention is to provide an organic compound solution recovery system and method that reduce the cost of waste liquid treatment.

[0004] Therefore, the organic compound solution recovery system of the present invention includes a distillation tank, a heating device, a condensing device, a vacuum device, and a first storage tank. The distillation tank includes a distillation space for holding an organic compound solution, a residue outlet communicating with the distillation space, and a vapor outlet communicating with the distillation space and located above the residue outlet. The heating device covers the distillation tank and is used to heat the distillation space, causing the organic compound solution to be partially converted into organic compound vapor. The organic compound solution not converted into organic compound vapor forms a residual solution layer and a deposited solution layer located at the bottom of the residual solution layer and corresponding to the residue outlet. The compound concentration of the residual solution layer is higher than that of the deposited solution layer. The condensing device includes a vapor inlet communicating with the vapor outlet and a condensation space communicating with the vapor inlet. The condensing device is used to receive the organic compound vapor and cool the organic compound vapor, causing the organic compound vapor to be converted into a purified organic compound solution. The vacuum device connects the condensation space and the distillation space, and is used to evacuate the condensation space and the distillation space to reduce the gas pressure in the condensation space and the distillation space. The first storage tank device includes a residue inlet connected to the residue outlet, and the first storage tank device is used to receive the deposited solution layer.

[0005] Therefore, the organic compound solution recovery method of the present invention is implemented by an organic compound solution recovery system, which includes a distillation tank, a heating device, a condensing device, a vacuum device, and a first storage tank. The distillation tank includes a distillation space, a residue outlet communicating with the distillation space, and a vapor outlet communicating with the distillation space and located above the residue outlet. The condensing device includes a vapor inlet communicating with the vapor outlet and a condensation space communicating with the distillation space. The first storage tank includes a residue inlet communicating with the residue outlet. The organic compound solution recovery method includes the following steps: (A) placing an organic compound solution in the distillation space; (B) using the vacuum device to condense the solution in the condensation space. (C) Vacuuming is performed between the condensing space and the distillation space to reduce the gas pressure in both the condensing space and the distillation space; (D) The heating device heats the distillation space to partially convert the organic compound solution into an organic compound vapor, and the organic compound solution that is not converted into the organic compound vapor forms a residual solution layer and a deposited solution layer at the bottom of the residual solution layer and corresponding to the residue outlet of the vessel, wherein the compound concentration of the residual solution layer is higher than that of the deposited solution layer; (E) The condensing device receives the organic compound vapor and cools the organic compound vapor to convert the organic compound vapor into a purified organic compound solution; and (I) The first storage tank device receives the deposited solution layer.

[0006] The advantages of this invention are: by setting up the distillation tank, the heating device, the condensing device, the vacuum device and the first storage tank, the organic compound solution can be separated into an economically valuable purified organic compound solution and an easily treatable sediment layer, thereby achieving both additional economic benefits and reduced processing costs. Simple Explanation of the Diagram

[0007] Other features and effects of the present invention will be clearly presented in the embodiments with reference to the drawings, wherein: Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of a pipeline in an embodiment of the organic compound solution recovery system of the present invention; and Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of the appearance of a distillation tank and an organic compound solution in this embodiment. Implementation

[0008] Referring to Figures 1 and 2, an embodiment of the organic compound solution recovery system of the present invention includes a distillation tank 1, a heating device 2, a condensing device 3, a vacuum device 4, a first storage tank device 5, a second storage tank device 6, and a control valve 7.

[0009] The distillation tank 1 includes a distillation space 11 for placing an organic compound solution 111, a residue outlet 12 communicating with the distillation space 11, and a vapor outlet 13 communicating with the distillation space 11 and located above the residue outlet 12. In this embodiment, the organic compound solution 111 is an aqueous isopropanol solution. In other variations of this embodiment, the organic compound solution 111 is an aqueous acetone solution. In this embodiment, the ratio (H / D) of the height (H) of the distillation tank 1 to its diameter (D) is not less than 1 and not greater than 5. In other words, the distillation tank 1 is cylindrical.

[0010] The heating device 2 covers the distillation tank 1 and is used to heat the organic compound solution 111 in the distillation space 11, so that the organic compound solution 111 is partially converted into an organic compound vapor. The organic compound solution 111 located in the distillation space 11 that has not been converted into organic compound vapor forms a residual solution layer 112 and a deposited solution layer 113 located at the bottom of the residual solution layer 112 and corresponding to the residue outlet 12. The compound concentration of the residual solution layer 112 is higher than that of the deposited solution layer 113. In this embodiment, the heating device 2 is a jacketed heater that uses circulating hot water as a uniform heat source to maintain the temperature of the distillation space 11 at no lower than 45 degrees Celsius and no higher than 55 degrees Celsius.

[0011] The condensing device 3 includes a vapor inlet 31 connected to the vapor outlet 13, a condensate outlet 32, a vacuum extraction port 33, and a condensation space 34 connecting the vapor inlet 31, the condensate outlet 32, and the vacuum extraction port 33. The condensing device 3 is used to receive the organic compound vapor and cool it to convert it into a purified organic compound solution. In this embodiment, the condensing device 3 is a shell-and-tube condenser or a plate condenser.

[0012] The vacuum device 4 connects the condensing space 34 and the distillation space 11 via the vacuum extraction port 33 of the condensing device 3. The vacuum device 4 is used to evacuate the condensing space 34 and the distillation space 11 to reduce their pressure. In this embodiment, the vacuum device 4 is a vacuum pump to maintain the pressure in the condensing space 34 and the distillation space 11 at a level not less than 9 kPa and not more than 16 kPa. It is worth noting that in other variations of this embodiment, the pressure in the condensing space 34 and the distillation space 11, as well as the temperature of the distillation space 11, can be adjusted in a more economical way by controlling the power of the heating device 2 and the vacuum device 4. For example, by increasing the power of the vacuum device 4, the pressure in the condensing space 34 and the distillation space 11 can be further reduced, and the power of the heating device 2 can be reduced, resulting in a corresponding decrease in the temperature of the distillation space 11. This can also achieve the purpose of partially converting the organic compound solution 111 into the organic compound vapor, and is not limited to this embodiment.

[0013] The first storage tank device 5 includes a residue inlet 51 communicating with the residue outlet 12, and a first receiving space 52 communicating with the residue inlet 51. The first storage tank device 5 is used to receive and store the deposited solution layer 113. In this embodiment, the compound concentration of the deposited solution layer 113 is less than 0.6%.

[0014] The second storage tank device 6 includes a condensate inlet 61 communicating with the condensate outlet 32, and a second receiving space 62 communicating with the condensate inlet 61. The second storage tank device 6 is used to receive and store the purified organic compound solution. In this embodiment, the compound concentration of the purified organic compound solution is higher than 16%.

[0015] The control valve 7 is located between the residue outlet 12 and the residue inlet 51, and is used to drive the organic compound solution 111 into the first storage tank device 5. In this embodiment, the control valve 7 is one of a gate valve, a stop valve, a plug valve, a ball valve, and a butterfly valve.

[0016] In actual operation, the organic compound solution 111 is an aqueous solution of isopropanol with a compound concentration of 6%. The operation procedure of this embodiment includes the following steps:

[0017] Step 1: Place the organic compound solution 111 into the distillation space 11.

[0018] Step two, the vacuum device 4 is used to evacuate the condensation space 34 and the distillation space 11 to reduce the gas pressure in the condensation space 34 and the distillation space 11, thereby lowering the boiling point of the organic compound solution 111.

[0019] Step three: The heating device 2 heats the distillation space 11 to partially convert the organic compound solution 111 into organic compound vapor. It is worth noting that isopropanol and water form an azeotropic mixture in a specific ratio. The boiling point of the azeotropic mixture is lower than that of isopropanol. Therefore, before heating to the boiling point of isopropanol, the azeotropic mixture will inevitably change from a liquid to a gaseous state, thereby carrying away some water to the condenser 3.

[0020] Step four, during the process of partially converting the organic compound solution 111 into the organic compound vapor (which typically takes several hours), the portion of the organic compound solution 111 that is not converted into the organic compound vapor will be affected by the density difference between isopropanol and water (the density of isopropanol is approximately between 0.7 and 1). ~0.8 The residual solution layer 112 and the deposited solution layer 113 are formed in layers. That is, the compound concentration of the organic compound solution 111, which has not been converted into organic compound vapor, gradually decreases from top to bottom. The compound concentration of the residual solution layer 112 is higher than that of the deposited solution layer 113. Subsequently, the first storage tank device 5 receives the deposited solution layer 113 from the distillation space 11, and the compound concentration of the deposited solution layer 113 is less than 0.6%.

[0021] Step 5: The condenser 3 receives the organic compound vapor and cools it to convert it into the purified organic compound solution. Then, the second storage tank 6 receives the purified organic compound solution.

[0022] In addition, to determine the weight of the deposited solution layer 113, a concentration detection device (not shown) is used to continuously monitor the compound concentration of the organic compound solution 111 received from the distillation tank 1 during the initial execution of the above process (step four). When the concentration detection device detects that the compound concentration of the organic compound solution 111 flowing into the first storage tank device 5 in real time is higher than 0.6%, the first storage tank device 5 stops receiving the organic compound solution 111. Therefore, the compound concentration of the deposited solution layer 113 flowing into the first storage tank device 5 should be lower than 0.6%, thus yielding the following data.

[0023] Before introducing 0.5 tons of the organic compound solution 111 (with a compound concentration of 6%) into the distillation space 11, 150 kg of the purified organic compound solution (with a compound concentration higher than 16%) is distilled out under reduced pressure, and the remaining 350 kg of the organic compound solution 111 that has not been converted into organic compound vapor is obtained. The deposited solution layer 113 located below the distillation space 11 is not less than 280 kg and not more than 300 kg, and its compound concentration is not higher than 0.55%.

[0024] In summary, this embodiment, by setting up the distillation tank 1, the heating device 2, the condensing device 3, the vacuum device 4, the first storage tank device 5, and the second storage tank device 6, separates the organic compound solution 111 (with a compound concentration of 6%) into a purified organic compound solution (with a compound concentration higher than 16%) and a sedimentary solution layer 113 (with a compound concentration not higher than 0.55%). When the compound concentration of the purified organic compound solution is increased to above 16%, it has greater economic value for reuse. Secondly, since the compound concentration of the sedimentary solution layer 113 is quite low, it can be biochemically treated by self-cultivated aerobic bacteria, thereby significantly reducing processing costs. Therefore, this embodiment and its operating process not only have the effect of increasing additional revenue but also reduce processing costs.

[0025] Therefore, the organic compound solution recovery system and method of the present invention can indeed achieve the purpose of the present invention.
