Description
Technical Field
[0001] This invention relates to a mold closing height adjustment mechanism, and more particularly to a technical solution that uses a Scottish yoke mechanism to improve the mold closing accuracy and stability of a punch press. Prior Technology
[0002] The development of industrial technology is always dedicated to breakthroughs and improvements in technology in order to enhance the precision and quality of products. Currently, the manufacturing of various mechanical components and hardware parts widely used in hand tools or automobiles and motorcycles mostly utilizes forging and stamping technology to achieve the purpose of forming. Therefore, how to make the finished products meet the precision requirements is the focus and goal pursued by manufacturers in their efforts to develop stamping machinery.
[0003] A punch press is a commonly used machine for metal forming and stamping. Its motion control and machining accuracy directly affect product quality. Most existing punch presses use a crank-connecting rod mechanism to adjust the mold closing height by changing the length of the connecting rod. However, this adjustment method can affect the motion trajectory of a servo punch press in practical applications. When the connecting rod length changes, the motion mode of the servo punch press, such as pulse or inch motion, will change with the mold closing height, requiring motion compensation during processing to maintain the stability of the motion trajectory. Summary of the Invention
[0004] This invention provides a punch press die closing adjustment mechanism, which uses a Scottish yoke mechanism to adjust the die closing height, thereby effectively improving the machining accuracy and motion stability of the servo punch press.
[0005] The present invention discloses a punch press die-closing adjustment mechanism, comprising: a power transmission mechanism that drives a rotating shaft to rotate via a power source; an eccentric wheel mechanism that has an eccentric wheel fixedly mounted on the rotating shaft; a yoke support mechanism that includes an upper slider, a lower slider, and a slider box, wherein the upper slider and the lower slider are disposed in the slider box and pivotally mounted on the eccentric wheel, thereby driving the first slider of the yoke support mechanism to move linearly up and down, and a shaft is connected to the first slider; and a punch assembly that has a punch pivotally connected to the shaft to drive the punch to move reciprocating linearly up and down.
[0006] In one embodiment of the present invention, the power source is a motor.
[0007] In one embodiment of the present invention, the power transmission mechanism is such that the motor is mounted on a frame, the rotating shaft is mounted on the frame, and a flywheel is installed at one end of the rotating shaft. The motor drives the flywheel via a belt, thereby driving the rotating shaft to rotate.
[0008] In one embodiment of the present invention, the eccentric wheel mechanism described above is a camshaft mechanism.
[0009] In one embodiment of the present invention, the outer sides of the upper slider and the lower slider in the yoke support mechanism are respectively in contact with the inner wall of a window of the slider box.
[0010] In one embodiment of the present invention, the inner sides of the upper slider and the lower slider respectively slidably support the eccentric wheel mechanism that is eccentrically mounted on the rotating shaft in the circumferential direction.
[0011] In one embodiment of the present invention, the yoke support mechanism further includes a guide rail assembly, which allows the first slider to slide on a guide rail to adjust the relative distance between the yoke support mechanism and the punch assembly.
[0012] In one embodiment of the present invention, the yoke support mechanism described above causes the first slider to move between a top dead center and a bottom dead center through a Scottish yoke mechanism formed with the eccentric wheel mechanism.
[0013] In one embodiment of the present invention, the yoke support mechanism described above adjusts the mold closing height through the lower stop position.
[0014] In one embodiment of the present invention, the adjustment range of the yoke support mechanism is 0-100 mm, and the adjustment accuracy is 0.01 mm.
[0015] This invention utilizes an adjustable yoke support system to adjust the distance between the yoke and the punch, thereby varying the die closing height. Because the Scottish yoke only shifts the position of the top and bottom dead centers without altering the displacement waveform, it achieves a more precise displacement control for repetitive motions in servo presses (such as vibration curves and bottom dead center forging curves). Since the Scottish yoke only shifts the position of the top and bottom dead centers without changing the displacement waveform, it provides a more stable and less volatile control compared to traditional crank-connecting rod systems where acceleration tends to level off near the bottom dead center and exhibits negative acceleration. This indicates a lag in the crank-connecting rod mechanism near the bottom dead center, leading to vibration. The Scottish yoke's acceleration variation remains sinusoidal, resulting in more accurate displacement control during repetitive motions (such as vibration curves and bottom dead center forging curves). The motion trajectory is unaffected by changes in mechanism parameters, simplifying controller compensation. Simple Explanation of the Diagram

[0020] To make the above-mentioned features and advantages of the present invention more apparent and understandable, specific embodiments are described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings for detailed explanation.
[0021] Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the appearance of a punch press die-closing adjustment mechanism according to the present invention. In Figure 1, a punch press die-closing adjustment mechanism includes: a power transmission mechanism 11, which drives a rotating shaft to rotate by a power source; an eccentric wheel mechanism 12, which has an eccentric wheel fixed on the rotating shaft; a yoke support mechanism 13, including an upper slider 131, a lower slider 132, and a slider box 133, wherein the upper slider 131 and the lower slider 132 are disposed in the slider box 133 and pivotally mounted on the eccentric wheel, thereby driving the first slider of the yoke support mechanism 13 to move linearly up and down, and a shaft 135 is connected to the first slider; and a punch assembly 14, wherein a punch is pivotally connected to the shaft 135 to drive the punch to perform reciprocating linear up and down motion.
[0022] In this embodiment, the power source is a motor.
[0023] The power transmission mechanism 11 is a motor mounted on a frame 2. The rotating shaft is mounted on the frame 2 and a flywheel is installed at one end of the rotating shaft. The motor drives the flywheel via a belt, thereby driving the rotating shaft to rotate.
[0024] In this embodiment, the eccentric wheel mechanism 12 is a camshaft mechanism.
[0025] In this embodiment, the outer sides of the upper slider 131 and the lower slider 132 in the yoke support mechanism 13 are in contact with the inner wall of a window portion of the slider box 133.
[0026] In this embodiment, the inner sides of the upper slider 131 and the lower slider 132 respectively support the eccentric wheel mechanism 12, which is eccentrically mounted on the rotating shaft, in a circumferential direction.
[0027] In this embodiment, the yoke support mechanism 13 further includes a guide rail assembly, which allows the first slider to slide on a guide rail to adjust the relative distance between the yoke support mechanism 13 and the punch assembly 14.
[0028] The first slider is driven by a motor to slide on the guide rail, thereby adjusting the relative distance between the slider box 133 and the punch.
[0029] In this embodiment, the yoke support mechanism 13, through a Scottish yoke mechanism formed with the eccentric wheel mechanism 12, allows the first slider to move between an upper dead point and a lower dead point.
[0030] The yoke support mechanism 13 adjusts the mold closing height through the lower stop position.
[0031] The yoke support mechanism 13 has an adjustment range of 0-100 mm and an adjustment accuracy of 0.01 mm, enabling the servo punch press to adapt to more diverse processing needs.
[0032] In this embodiment, it can be ensured that the motion trajectory of the servo punch press remains stable when adjusting the mold closing height, meeting the requirements of motion modes such as pulse and inch.
[0033] Since the Scottish yoke mechanism only shifts the position of the top and bottom dead centers without changing the displacement waveform, compared with the crank connecting rod, the motion trajectory of the Scottish yoke mechanism is not affected by changes in mechanism parameters when adjusting the mold closing height, which is beneficial to simplifying controller compensation.
[0034] Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of the movement of the Scottish yoke mechanism of a punch press die closing adjustment mechanism according to the present invention. In Figure 2, the eccentric wheel mechanism 12 revolves along a circular track centered on the rotation axis of the motor, and due to the eccentric structure, the upper slider 131 and the lower slider 132, which are in contact with the eccentric wheel mechanism 12, reciprocate in the left-right direction in the slider box 133.
[0035] Furthermore, because of the eccentric structure of the eccentric wheel mechanism 12, the first slider 134 of the shaft 135 reciprocates up and down, thereby driving the punch assembly 14 to move.
[0036] In this embodiment, the outer sides of the upper slider 131 and the lower slider 132 in the yoke support mechanism 13 are in contact with the inner wall of a window portion of the slider box 133.
[0037] In this embodiment, the inner sides of the upper slider 131 and the lower slider 132 respectively support the eccentric wheel mechanism 12, which is eccentrically mounted on the rotating shaft, in a circumferential direction.
[0038] In this embodiment, the yoke support mechanism 13 further includes a guide rail assembly 136, which allows the first slider 134 to slide on a guide rail to adjust the relative distance between the yoke support mechanism 13 and the punch assembly 14.
[0039] The first slider 134 is driven by a motor to slide on the guide rail, thereby adjusting the relative distance between the slider box 133 and the punch.
[0040] In this embodiment, the yoke support mechanism 13, through a Scottish yoke mechanism formed with the eccentric wheel mechanism 12, allows the first slider 134 to move between an upper dead point and a lower dead point.
[0041] The yoke support mechanism 13 adjusts the mold closing height through the lower stop position.
[0042] The yoke support mechanism 13 has an adjustment range of 0-100 mm and an adjustment accuracy of 0.01 mm, enabling the servo punch press to adapt to more diverse processing needs.
[0043] In this embodiment, it can be ensured that the motion trajectory of the servo punch press remains stable when adjusting the mold closing height, thus meeting the requirements of motion modes such as pulse and inch.
[0044] Since the Scottish yoke mechanism only shifts the position of the top and bottom dead centers without changing the displacement waveform, compared with the crank connecting rod, the motion trajectory of the Scottish yoke mechanism is not affected by changes in mechanism parameters when adjusting the mold closing height, which is beneficial to simplifying controller compensation.
[0045] Please refer to Figures 3 and 4 simultaneously. Figure 3 is a schematic diagram of the displacement curve of a punch press die-closing adjustment mechanism according to the present invention, and Figure 4 is a schematic diagram of the acceleration curve of a punch press die-closing adjustment mechanism according to the present invention.
[0046] In this embodiment, there is often a need to adjust the die closing height on a punch press. Typically, a punch press with a crank-connecting rod mechanism is used to adjust the die closing height at the lower dead center by adjusting the length of the connecting rod. However, because the adjustment involves the length of the connecting rod, the displacement waveform of the crank-connecting rod mechanism will change accordingly. In contrast, the Scottish yoke mechanism will only shift the position of the upper dead center and the lower dead center, but will not change the displacement waveform. Therefore, compared with the crank-connecting rod mechanism, the Scottish yoke mechanism is not affected by the change of mechanism parameters when adjusting the die closing height, which is beneficial to the simplification of controller compensation.
[0047] In this embodiment, the crank-connecting rod mechanism exhibits a gradual acceleration near the bottom dead center position, with a negative acceleration. This indicates that the crank-connecting rod mechanism experiences lag near the bottom dead center, which can lead to vibration. In contrast, the acceleration of the Scottish yoke mechanism remains a sinusoidal change, providing more precise displacement control for repetitive motions of the servo press, such as vibration curves and bottom dead center forging curves.
[0048] In summary, the punch press die-closing adjustment mechanism of the present invention utilizes an adjustable yoke support system to adjust the distance between the yoke and the punch, thereby achieving variations in the die-closing height. Furthermore, because the Scottish yoke only shifts the positions of the top and bottom dead centers without altering the displacement waveform, compared to the traditional crank-connecting rod mechanism where acceleration tends to level off near the bottom dead center and exhibits negative acceleration during die-closing height adjustment (indicating hysteresis near the bottom dead center and potential vibration), the Scottish yoke's acceleration variation remains sinusoidal. This provides more precise displacement control for repetitive motions in servo punch presses (such as vibration curves and bottom dead center forging curves), as the motion trajectory is unaffected by changes in mechanism parameters, simplifying controller compensation.
