Improved pump-module for molten plastic material

Abstract

A pump-module for transferring molten plastic material and / or for lending the proper pressure to said molten plastic material is described, said pump-module having a body equipped with an inlet and an outlet for the molten plastic material, said body being also equipped with at least a first opening, a second opening, a third opening and a fourth opening, a first chamber in fluid communication with the first opening and the second opening, a first chamber in fluid communication with the third opening and the fourth opening, and a valve system configured to regulate the opening and closing of said first opening, second opening, third opening and fourth opening so as to regulate the flow of the molten plastic material. In a first configuration, when the molten plastic material is fed through the inlet, it flows into the first chamber through the first opening, and at the same time said molten plastic material flows out of the second chamber towards the outlet through the fourth opening; when the molten plastic material reaches a specific level inside the first chamber and / or the second chamber, the valve system is configured to switch from the first configuration to a second configuration in which, when the molten plastic material is fed through the inlet, it flows into the second chamber through the third opening, and at the same time said molten plastic material flows out of the first chamber towards the outlet through the second opening.
