Quantum dot composition

Abstract

This invention provides a technique for easily performing ligand substitution. A quantum dot composition is provided, which is used to replace at least a portion of the ligands to generate a ligand-substituted quantum dot. The quantum dot composition comprises: quantum dots, a solvent, and halide ions, wherein the quantum dots comprise: core-shell particles containing a core and a shell covering the core, and ligands located on the surface of the core-shell particles, the shell comprising Zn and S, the ligands comprising a first ligand of a thiol, and a second ligand of one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of amines, fatty acids, phosphine compounds, and alcohols, and the molar fraction of the first ligand relative to the total ligands is in the range of 0.001 to 0.1.
