Abstract

The culture apparatus includes: a shell for containing culture medium; a rotating body disposed inside the shell and rotatable about an axis extending in the vertical direction; a drive unit for driving the rotating body to rotate about the axis; a discharge unit for discharging the culture medium contained in the shell to the outside of the shell; and a residue portion disposed in the shell and recessed downwards. When the culture medium is discharged through the discharge unit, the residue portion leaves a portion of the culture medium contained in the shell.
