Description

[Technical Field]

[0001] This disclosure relates to the field of liquid cooling heat dissipation, and more particularly to a dual-pump liquid cooling device. [Previous Technology]

[0002] In a liquid cooling system, the coolant is sealed and filled in a closed loop and circulates. The coolant is used as a medium to carry the heat from the heat source to the heat dissipation point for cooling. Therefore, pumps are mostly used in liquid cooling systems to drive the flow of coolant. The faster the flow rate of the coolant, the better the heat dissipation efficiency of the entire liquid cooling system.

[0003] However, as electronic technology moves towards thinner and more efficient designs, the amount of heat generated also increases significantly. A single-pump cooling system has a limited capacity to drive the coolant flow, resulting in insufficient heat dissipation efficiency. Furthermore, to accommodate thinner designs, the overall volume of the liquid cooling system is reduced, leading to a decrease in coolant capacity. This can cause insufficient coolant after a period of use due to evaporation or leakage, thus affecting the operation of the liquid cooling system.

[0004] In view of this, the discloser has devoted himself to researching and applying theoretical principles to address the shortcomings of the prior art, and has made every effort to solve the above-mentioned problems, which has become the target of the discloser's improvement. [Summary of the Invention]

[0005] The main purpose of this disclosure is to effectively increase the flow rate of coolant in the dual-pump liquid cooling device to improve heat dissipation efficiency and avoid insufficient coolant due to evaporation or leakage after long-term use.

[0006] To achieve the above objectives, this disclosure provides a dual-pump liquid cooling device, including a base, a pair of pumps, a partition assembly, and a base. The base has a liquid inlet, a liquid outlet, a liquid collection chamber, a pair of containers, a pair of channels, and a liquid outlet channel. The liquid inlet is connected to the liquid collection chamber, and the liquid outlet is connected to the liquid outlet channel. The containers are arranged side by side and connected to the liquid collection chamber. Each channel is connected to each container and located on both sides of the liquid collection chamber. Each pump is configured corresponding to each container. The liquid collection chamber is located between the partition assembly and each container. The partition assembly shields the liquid collection chamber and has a pair of perforations and a set of through slots. The base is mounted on the base, and a heat exchange chamber is formed between the partition assembly and the base. Each channel is connected to the heat exchange chamber through each perforation, and the heat exchange chamber is connected to the liquid outlet channel through the set of through slots.

[0007] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the base has a plurality of fins arranged in parallel to each other, and a plurality of flow channels are formed between the fins. The fins and the partition assembly together divide the heat exchange chamber into each flow channel and a pair of inlet areas. The two ends of each flow channel are connected to each perforation through each inlet area, and each flow channel is connected to the liquid outlet channel through a channel assembly.

[0008] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, each perforation is disposed at a diagonal position of each fin.

[0009] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the through-slot assembly is located at the center of each fin.

[0010] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the separation component includes a separation plate and a flow guide plate, the separation plate is disposed between the base and the flow guide plate, the separation plate has perforations, and the flow guide plate is located between the perforations.

[0011] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the separating component further includes an abutment piece disposed between the guide plate and the base. The abutment piece has a pair of limiting baffles, each limiting baffle being restricted to opposite sides of the guide plate.

[0012] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the separator further includes a pair of plug blocks, each plug block being disposed on opposite sides of the guide plate, and the through-slot group being located between the plug blocks.

[0013] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, the base includes a body and a mounting frame. The body has a liquid inlet, a liquid outlet, a liquid collection chamber, various containers, various channels and a liquid outlet channel. The mounting frame has a pair of mounting slots. The mounting frame is disposed on the body and covers each container. Each mounting slot is configured to correspond to each container.

[0014] In one embodiment of the present disclosure, each pump includes a stator assembly and a rotor assembly, with each rotor assembly disposed in a respective receiving groove and each stator assembly disposed in a respective mounting groove.

[0015] In one embodiment of this disclosure, the liquid inlet and liquid outlet are located on the same side of the base.

[0016] The dual-pump liquid cooling device disclosed herein has a liquid collection chamber formed in the base, and each pump is arranged in parallel in each tank of the base. Therefore, after the coolant enters from the liquid inlet, it can first collect and flow in the liquid collection chamber, and then enter the heat exchange chamber in sequence through the suction force generated by each pump during operation, and enter each tank, each channel, each perforation and through groove group. This can effectively increase the flow rate of coolant in the dual-pump liquid cooling device to improve heat dissipation efficiency, and avoid the situation that the coolant is insufficient due to evaporation or leakage after long-term use. At the same time, it improves the sealing performance of the base and reduces assembly complexity and maintenance costs.

[0020] The detailed description and technical content of this disclosure will be explained in conjunction with the drawings below. However, the drawings are for illustrative purposes only and are not intended to limit this disclosure.

[0021] This disclosure provides a dual-pump liquid cooling device through which a coolant can flow. Please refer to Figures 1 to 4. The dual-pump liquid cooling device disclosed herein includes a base 10, a pair of pumps 20, a partition assembly 30, and a base 40.

[0022] The base 10 is disposed on the base 40 along a vertical direction D. In this embodiment, the base 10 is generally rectangular, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. The base 10 has a liquid inlet 111, a liquid outlet 112, a liquid collection chamber 113, a pair of receiving grooves 114, a pair of channels 115, and a liquid outlet channel 116. In this embodiment, the liquid inlet 111 and the liquid outlet 112 are both located on the same side of the base 10, so as to facilitate the user to wire the pair of infusion tubes (not shown) connected to the liquid inlet 111 and the liquid outlet 112. However, in other embodiments, the liquid inlet 111 and the liquid outlet 112 may be located on opposite sides of the base 10. Please refer to Figures 1 to 4 and Figure 7. The liquid inlet 111 is connected to the liquid collection chamber 113, and the liquid outlet 112 is connected to the liquid outlet channel 116. Specifically, the liquid collecting chamber 113 and the liquid outlet channel 116 are both formed at the bottom of the base 10, and the liquid collecting chamber 113 and the liquid outlet channel 116 are not directly connected to each other. Referring again to Figures 1 to 4 and Figure 6, each container 114 is arranged side-by-side on the top of the base 10, and each container 114 is connected to the liquid collecting chamber 113. In other words, each container 114 is located above the liquid collecting chamber 113 in a vertical direction D, and the liquid inlet 111 can be connected to each container 114 via the liquid collecting chamber 113, as shown in Figures 6 and 7. Each channel 115 is respectively configured corresponding to and connected to each container 114, and each channel 115 is located on both sides of the liquid collecting chamber 113. In this embodiment, each channel 115 is respectively located at the opposite corner of the liquid collection cavity 113, and each channel 115 extends within the base 10 in the vertical direction D. However, this disclosure is not limited to this. For example, each channel 115 may also be located on opposite sides of the liquid collection cavity 113, or each channel 115 may extend obliquely within the base 10.

[0023] Referring again to Figures 1 to 4 and Figure 6, each pump 20 is configured corresponding to each container 114. Specifically, the base 10 includes a body 11 and a mounting bracket 12. The body 11 is an integrally formed component and has the aforementioned liquid inlet 111, liquid outlet 112, liquid collection chamber 113, containers 114, channels 115, and liquid outlet channel 116. The mounting bracket 12 has a pair of mounting slots 121. The mounting bracket 12 is disposed on the top of the body 11 and covers each container 114, so that each mounting slot 121 is configured corresponding to each container 114. In other words, each mounting slot 121 and each container 114 are located on opposite upper and lower sides of the mounting bracket 12. Each pump 20 includes a stator assembly 21 and a rotor assembly 22. Each rotor assembly 22 is disposed in each container 114, and each stator assembly 21 is disposed in each mounting slot 121. In other words, each stator assembly 21 is positioned above and around a portion of its corresponding rotor assembly 22 along the vertical direction D. Since the specific structure and operating principle of the pump 20 are well known to those skilled in the art, they will not be described in detail here.

[0024] Referring to Figures 1 to 5 and Figures 8 to 9, the separator 30 shields the bottom of the liquid collection chamber 113. Specifically, the separator 30 abuts between the base 40 and the base 10, so that the liquid collection chamber 113 is generally located between the separator 30 and each of the receiving tanks 114. The separator 30 has a pair of through holes 311 and a channel assembly 301. A heat exchange chamber 41 is formed between the separator 30 and the base 40. Each channel 115 is connected to the heat exchange chamber 41 through the through holes 311, and the heat exchange chamber 41 is connected to the liquid outlet channel 116 through the channel assembly 301. In this way, when the coolant enters the inlet port 111, it can first be collected and converged in the collection chamber 113 of the base 10, and then drawn into the containers 114 by the suction force generated by the operation of each pump 20. It then enters the heat exchange chamber 41 through the corresponding perforations 311 via each channel 115, and then enters the outlet channel 116 of the base 10 through the through-slot group 301 of the partition component 30, finally exiting through the outlet port 112. Therefore, the collection chamber 113 not only effectively increases the flow rate of the coolant in the dual-pump liquid cooling device to improve heat dissipation efficiency, but also avoids insufficient coolant due to evaporation or leakage after long-term use. In addition, since the body 11 of the base 10 is a single piece rather than a two-piece component, it can also effectively prevent the coolant from leaking from the joints of a two-piece structure, thereby improving sealing and reducing assembly complexity and maintenance costs.

[0025] Further explanation: The base 40 has a plurality of fins 42 arranged parallel to each other. Each fin 42 is arranged parallel to each other on the side of the base 40 facing the base 10 and the partition assembly 30, that is, each fin 42 is arranged on the top of the base 40. A plurality of flow channels 43 are formed between each fin 42, which are parallel to each other. Both ends of each flow channel 43 are connected to each perforation 311, and each flow channel 43 is connected to the liquid outlet channel 116 of the base 10 through the through groove assembly 301 of the partition assembly 30. Specifically, each fin 42 and part of the partition assembly 30 together divide the heat exchange chamber 41 into each flow channel 43 and a pair of inlet areas 411. Both ends of each flow channel 43 are respectively connected to each inlet area 411, that is, each fin 42 and each flow channel 43 are vertically arranged between each inlet area 411. In other words, the partition components 30 and each inlet zone 411 are disposed around each fin 42 and each flow channel 43. Each perforation 311 communicates with each flow channel 43 via each inlet zone 411. In this embodiment, each perforation 311 is respectively disposed at the diagonal of each fin 42, so that the coolant can flow evenly from each inlet zone 411 into each flow channel 43, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. Furthermore, in this embodiment, the channel group 301 is located at the center of each fin 42, so that the coolant entering from both ends of each flow channel 43 can converge at the center and enter into the channel group 301. In this way, when the coolant enters the heat exchange chamber 41 through the corresponding perforations 311 via each channel 115, the coolant will first enter each inlet area 411 and flow into each flow channel 43 between each fin 42, and finally leave the heat exchange chamber 41 through the through groove group 301 of the partition assembly 30.

[0026] Please refer to Figures 1, 2, 4, 5, 8, and 9. The partition assembly 30 includes a partition plate 31, a guide plate 32, an abutment piece 33, and a pair of plug blocks 34. In this embodiment, the partition plate 31 and the abutment piece 33 are both metal, while the guide plate 32 and each plug block 34 are made of silicone or rubber, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. Each plug block 34 is disposed on the base 40, and each plug block 34 is parallel to each fin 42 and located on both sides of each fin 42. In this embodiment, as shown in Figure 5, the cross-sectional shape of each plug block 34 along the direction of the liquid inlet port 111 or the liquid outlet port 112 is generally lightning-shaped and symmetrically arranged with the other plug block 34, so that it can be placed on the steps on both sides of the base 40 and support the abutment piece 33. The partition plate 31 is abutting between the base 10 and the guide plate 32, and the partition plate 31 has the aforementioned perforations 311. The abutting piece 33 is disposed along the vertical direction D on each fin 42 and each plug block 34 of the base 40. The guide plate 32 is abutting and clamped between the abutting piece 33 and the partition plate 31, and the guide plate 32 is located between each perforation 311 and each inlet zone 411. In other words, the abutting piece 33 is disposed between the guide plate 32 and each fin 42 and each plug block 34 of the base 40, and each plug block 34 is disposed on opposite sides of the guide plate 32 so that the through-slot assembly 301 is located between each plug block 34. Therefore, the plug blocks 34, abutting pieces 33, guide plates 32 and partition plates 31 of the partition assembly 30 are sequentially stacked on the base 40 along the vertical direction D.

[0027] Further explanation: the partition plate 31 has a surrounding wall 312, and the guide plate 32 has a retaining groove 321. Specifically, the surrounding wall 312 extends from the partition plate 31 toward the guide plate 32 and is generally rectangular in shape. The retaining groove 321 is a rectangular groove formed by a recess at the periphery of the top of the guide plate 32. The surrounding wall 312 of the partition plate 31 is engaged with the retaining groove 321 of the guide plate 32, thereby restricting the top of the guide plate 32 within the surrounding wall 312 at the bottom of the partition plate 31. In this embodiment, the partition plate 31 has a positioning protrusion 313 on the side facing the guide plate 32, and the guide plate 32 has a positioning recess 322 on the side facing the partition plate 31. The positioning protrusion 313 can be engaged in the positioning recess 322 to further position the partition plate 31 and the guide plate. However, in other embodiments, the positioning protrusion 313 can also be provided on the guide plate 32, and the positioning recess 322 can be provided on the partition plate 31.

[0028] Furthermore, the abutment piece 33 has a pair of limiting baffles 331 on opposite sides. Each limiting baffle 331 of the abutment piece 33 extends vertically toward the guide plate 32 in the vertical direction D, thereby limiting the guide plate 32 on opposite sides. Each positioning baffle of the guide plate 32 extends vertically toward the abutment piece 33 in the vertical direction D, thereby limiting the abutment piece 33 on opposite sides and located between the limiting baffles 331. In other words, each limiting baffle 331 of the abutment piece 33 limits one of the opposite sides of the guide plate 32, while each plugging block 34 limits the other opposite sides of the guide plate 32, thereby further limiting the guide plate 32 from moving forward, backward, left, or right.

[0029] Therefore, the partition plate 31 and the guide plate 32 can be interlocked and positioned without relative displacement in the front, back, left, or right directions. The guide plate 32 is firmly clamped between the partition plate 31 and the abutment piece 33, ensuring that it cannot be displaced in the vertical direction D. The guide plate 32, each packing block 34, and the abutment piece 33 can also be positioned relative to each other without relative displacement. In addition, since the silicone or rubber guide plate 32 is clamped between the metal partition plate 31 and the abutment piece 33, it can effectively prevent the strong upward force of the coolant in the vertical direction D from causing deformation or displacement of the guide plate 32, thereby ensuring that the coolant can flow stably when flowing through the partition assembly 30.

[0030] Further explanation, referring again to Figures 1, 2, 4, 5, and 8, the through-slot assembly 301 includes a through hole 3011, a first through-slot 3012, a second through-slot 3013, and a third through-slot 3014. The through hole 3011 and the first through-slot 3012 are disposed on the partition plate 31. Specifically, the through hole 3011 is a circular hole that penetrates the partition plate 31 in the vertical direction D, and the first through-slot 3012 is disposed at the bottom of the partition plate 31 and communicates with the through hole 3011. In this embodiment, the first through-slot 3012 extends obliquely and gradually from the bottom of the partition plate 31 toward the through hole 3011, thereby allowing the coolant to flow better into the through hole 3011 and reducing the likelihood of blockage, as shown in Figure 5, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. The partition plate 31 has a fitting protrusion 314. The fitting protrusion 314 protrudes from the partition plate 31 toward the guide plate 32, and is disposed around the first through groove 3012. The second through groove 3013 penetrates the guide plate 32 in the vertical direction D, and the shape of the second through groove 3013 corresponds to the shape of the fitting protrusion 314. Thus, the fitting protrusion 314 of the partition plate 31 can be engaged within the second through groove 3013 of the guide plate 32, thereby further positioning the partition plate 31 and the guide plate 32. The first through groove 3012 is located within the fitting protrusion 314 and can communicate with the second through groove 3013. In this embodiment, the center of the first through groove 3012 is a circular hole, and elongated strip-shaped holes extend from its opposite sides. The diameter of the circular hole at the center is larger than the width of the strip-shaped holes, but this disclosure is not limited thereto. The third through groove 3014 extends through the abutment piece 33 in the vertical direction D, and is connected to the second through groove 3013 of the guide plate 32 and the first through groove 3012 of the partition plate 31, and is connected to the through hole 3011 of the partition plate 31. In this embodiment, the third through groove 3014 is elongated and divided into two narrow sections and one wide section. The position of the wide section roughly corresponds to the position of the circular hole at the center of the first through groove 3012. Each narrow section is connected to the opposite sides of the wide section and roughly corresponds to the position of each strip hole of the first through groove 3012, but this disclosure is not limited thereto.

[0031] It is worth mentioning that the through-slot group 301 of the separator 30 is actually perpendicular to each fin 42 and each flow channel 43, and the through-slot group 301 is approximately located at the center of each fin 42 and each flow channel 43. Specifically, taking Figures 1 to 5 and Figure 8 as examples, each fin 42 and each flow channel 43 are parallel to the front-back direction of the base 10 and the base 40 (i.e., the setting direction of the liquid inlet port 111 and the liquid outlet port 112), while the first through-slot 3012 and the third through-slot 3014 of the through-slot group 301 are both parallel to the left-right direction of the base 10 and the base 40, so the first through-slot 3012 and the third through-slot 3014 are both perpendicular to each fin 42 and each flow channel 43. Therefore, when the coolant enters each flow channel 43 from each inlet zone 411, it flows to the center of each fin 42 and each flow channel 43, and then sequentially enters the third through groove 3014, the second through groove 3013, the first through groove 3012 and the through hole 3011 in the vertical direction D, thereby entering the outlet channel 116 of the base 10 through the partition assembly 30. Furthermore, when the coolant passes through the third through groove 3014 and the first through groove 3012 of the partition assembly 30, it is influenced by the narrow sections and the strip holes, gradually converging towards the wide sections and the circular holes, thus concentrating and flowing out through the through hole 3011 of the partition plate 31.

[0032] The dual-pump liquid cooling device disclosed herein has a liquid collection chamber 113 formed in the base 10, and each pump 20 is arranged in parallel in each of the tanks 114 of the base 10. Therefore, after the coolant enters from the liquid inlet 111, it can first collect and flow in the liquid collection chamber 113, and then enter the heat exchange chamber 41 in sequence through the suction force generated by each pump 20 during operation, through each tank 114, each channel 115, each perforation 311 and through groove group 301. This can effectively increase the flow rate of coolant in the dual-pump liquid cooling device to improve heat dissipation efficiency and avoid insufficient coolant due to evaporation or leakage after long-term use. At the same time, it improves the sealing performance of the base 10 and reduces assembly complexity and maintenance costs.

[0033] In summary, the foregoing disclosure is intended to enable those skilled in the art to clearly understand the technical content of this disclosure and implement it accordingly, rather than to limit the scope of patent protection of this disclosure. In addition, this disclosure may of course have other embodiments not listed. Without departing from the spirit and essence of this disclosure, those skilled in the art should be able to devise various corresponding changes and modifications based on this disclosure, but all such changes and modifications should fall within the scope of protection of the patent application filed under this disclosure.
