Abstract

An optical sensing apparatus, comprising: a light emitter configured to emit an optical signal to a target object; a first die comprising a photodetector, wherein the photodetector comprises a same region for detecting a first optical signal with a first wavelength and a second optical signal with a second wavelength reflected by the target object at different times; and a processing circuitry configured to receive a first output result associated with the first optical signal and a second output result associated with the second optical signal, and perform a predetermined function accordingly to recognize a material type of the target object.
