Abstract

The estimation device includes: an estimation unit that estimates the average service life and the dispersion of the service life of the coated steel sheet under the usage environment, based on the usage environment of the coated steel sheet, the composition content of the coating layer, and the thickness of the coating layer; and a determination unit that determines the minimum service life of the coated steel sheet under the usage environment based on a pre-determined coefficient for the dispersion and the estimated average and dispersion. The estimation device may also include a communication unit that transmits the determined minimum service life to a user terminal.
