Contact pins, sockets, and plungers

Abstract

The stylus has a pair of plungers that can be pressed into the socket from various directions in the vertical direction. Each of the plungers has a plate surface that extends in the vertical direction and has an electrode portion at one end. The plate surfaces are arranged with one electrode portion facing upward and the other electrode portion facing downward and facing each other. The plate surfaces are configured to be movable in the vertical direction between their respective initial positions and the pressed-in positions. When the two plungers are in the pressed-in position, the two sides of the portion that is facing the other plate surface have a protrusion that can form point contact or partial contact with the other plate surface.
