Capacitance measurement device and capacitance measurement method

Abstract

The capacitance measurement device includes a feedback circuit, a counting window circuit, a gating circuit and a counter circuit. The feedback circuit is coupled to a capacitor to be measured to form an oscillator circuit for generating a pulse string. The counting window circuit generates a counting window pulse. A first input terminal of the gating circuit is coupled to the feedback circuit to receive the pulse string. A second input terminal of the gating circuit is coupled to the counting window circuit to receive the counting window pulse. The gating circuit filters the pulse string based on the counting window pulse to generate a plurality of gated pulses. The counter circuit is coupled to the gating circuit to receive the gated pulses. The counter circuit counts the gated pulses to generate a pulse number corresponding to a capacitance value of the capacitor to be measured.
