Abstract
A method for electronic beam direction finding in a satellite communication hybrid tracking system is disclosed, wherein electrical adjustment following mechanical adjustment obtains an equivalent dynamic electronic beam direction. The method ensures that the overall beam direction can be accurately pointed toward the target satellite by dynamically updating the electronic beam direction based on a User Terminal’s (UTs) mechanical antenna orientation and the incoming path direction of the target satellite relative to the antenna broadside.
