Polarizing plate and its manufacturing method

Abstract

The objective of this invention is to provide a polarizing plate that can suppress the polyolefination of polyvinyl alcohol even under high-temperature conditions. As a solution, the polarizing plate (100) is constructed by laminating a polarizer (101), an adhesive layer (102), and a protective film (103) in that order, and the polarizer-based polyvinyl alcohol resin film contains an adsorbed dichroic pigment. The adhesive layer (102) is formed of an adhesive composition containing a polyvinyl alcohol resin, a polyaldehyde crosslinking agent, a urea compound, and an amino acid. The urea compound is selected from at least one group consisting of urea, urea derivatives, thiourea, and thiourea derivatives.
