Abstract
A star coupler device includes a substrate and a coupler unit disposed on the substrate. The coupler unit includes plural first optical splitters and plural second optical splitters connected to the first optical splitters, and the coupler unit includes M first inputs and N first outputs. While a first light including P first input wavelengths is input to the M first inputs, an output light intensity of each of the N first outputs is one-Mth of a sum of energy of the P first input wavelengths, in which N and M are positive integers, and P is an integer.
