Abstract

A camera, comprising: a lens having a lens optical axis; an image sensor having a sensor height HS smaller than a sensor width; and an optical image stabilization (OIS) module, comprising a magnet, a moving frame, and a static frame fixedly coupled to the image sensor, wherein the OIS module allows a rotational movement of the moving frame relative to the static frame around a rotation axis parallel to the lens optical axis, wherein the OIS module has an OIS module width WM measured along an axis parallel to the sensor height, wherein a distance between the rotation axis and the lens optical axis is marked DL-R, wherein DL-R is in a range of ½ HS to ½ WM, wherein the lens moves together with the moving frame for OIS in an OIS plane that is perpendicular to the lens optical axis, wherein the magnet is used for actuating the rotational movement and for sensing a position of the lens relative to the image sensor, and wherein the camera is included in a mobile device.
