Catalyst state estimation device

Abstract

This invention relates to a catalyst state estimation device, comprising: a memory unit that pre-memorizes a catalyst state estimation model, the catalyst state estimation model including: a machine learning model that pre-learns using teaching materials corresponding to information related to either the catalyst or the exhaust gas, namely first information and second information; a physical model created using the teaching materials; and an estimation unit that estimates a purification index value by inputting the first information into the catalyst state estimation model; and the estimation unit inputs the first information into the physical model or the machine learning model based on whether the input first information includes first information that is outside the numerical range of the first information in the teaching materials used for learning the machine learning model, thereby estimating the purification index value.
