Method and system for managing inventory in fulfillment center

Abstract

Provided are a method and system for managing an inventory. The method may include: obtaining shipment information for a plurality of shipments including a first SKU for a past period; obtaining mapping information between the first SKU and a plurality of FCs during the past period; identifying a correct FC corresponding to each of the plurality of shipments at a future point in time using the shipment information; calculating a first distribution ratio for the correct FC and a second distribution ratio for the correct FC; testing whether there is an anomaly in the first distribution ratio with respect to the second distribution ratio; and determining one of the first distribution ratio and the second distribution ratio as a final ratio for the inventory of the first SKU using the test results. Here, the first distribution ratio is a ratio of the number of shipments corresponding to the correct FC at the future point in time to the number of the plurality of shipments, and the second distribution ratio is a ratio of the number of first SKUs mapped to the correct FC to the total number of first SKUs mapped to the plurality of FCs during the past period.
