Abstract
The present invention provides a system and method for standardizing electronic medical records. Unstandardized medical records from various sources are first processed through a format conversion procedure, such as FHIR format conversion, to produce structured electronic medical records. These structured records are then verified through a format validation procedure, such as FHIR format validation. The system subsequently processes the structured electronic medical records using an algorithm incorporating a large language model. After performing text segmentation and refinement, the system extracts a set of key terms and combines them with a set of code names derived from an international medical code database. Multiple query sets are generated to match against a range of medical terminologies. The system ultimately selects the code name and code number combination with the highest confidence score to form a mapping entry. A graphical user interface(GUI)is used to display both the structured text and the mapping entries, enabling users to efficiently review, annotate, and modify the records, thereby producing standardized electronic medical records.
