Abstract

This invention relates to a method for preparing and modulating an electrode mixture and a method for manufacturing a dry electrode from the electrode mixture. The invention relates to a method for preparing and modulating an electrode mixture comprising an active material, optional additives, and a binder, the method comprising the steps of: 1) preparing the electrode mixture in a mixing container of a mixer, wherein the mixture is heated to a temperature TH during preparation, wherein TH > 45°C; 2) removing the electrode mixture from the mixing container; 3) applying the electrode mixture to a sieving device that separates the electrode mixture into undersize and oversize particles; and 4) using the undersize particles as a modulated electrode mixture.
