Abstract

An electrical connector includes an insulating body, a terminal module and a first grounding component. The terminal module includes a first signal terminal and a first ground terminal. The first ground terminal includes a first elastic arm extending into a mating slot. The first grounding component is at least partially disposed on the insulating body. The first grounding component includes a first contact portion and a second contact portion. The first contact portion extends beyond the second contact portion in a thickness direction of the insulating body. In the first contact portion and the second contact portion, at least the second contact portion is separated from the first elastic arm which is in an undated state. Both the first contact portion and the second contact portion are arranged to contact the first elastic arm which is in a mated state.
