Systems and methods for low latency image sensor and image signal processor configuration

Abstract

Methods, systems, and apparatus for reducing latency of configuration of image sensor and image signal processor. A computing system can include a primary unit and a secondary unit that are coupled with the image sensor and the image signal processor. The secondary unit can receive a trigger event indicating a request from an application for image data. The secondary unit can receive image statistics of one or more image frames of a series of image frames generated by the image signal processor based on output of the image sensor. The secondary unit can adjust values of configuration parameters for the image sensor and the image signal processor. Upon receiving an indication that the primary unit has initialized, the secondary unit can provide at least one value of the configuration parameters to the primary unit.
