Abstract

This application provides a communication method and a communications apparatus. The method includes: receiving, by a first apparatus, an SSB of a second apparatus, where the SSB belongs to a first SSB burst set, one period of the first SSB burst set occupies M*L system frames, and an index of a first OFDM symbol of a candidate SSB in the L system frames in the first SSB burst set meets the following formula: . In the method, the first OFDM symbol index of the candidate SSBs in every L system frame in one first SSB burst set is the same. This is equivalent to that a plurality of SSB burst sets with a same SSB pattern can be aggregated in one SSB burst set. Therefore, according to the method, design of an SSB pattern of the first SSB burst set can be simplified, and a quantity of different SSB beams can be provided, thereby helping adapt to more communication scenarios.
