Abstract
【Item Uses】 This design is a tabletop planter, mainly used for indoor small plant cultivation, and also has lighting and decorative effects. It is suitable for use in home environments such as office desks and study desks. 【Design Description】 The design features an overall shape that includes a base, a handheld boom extending upwards from the base, and a basket connected to and suspended from the handheld boom. The handheld boom can be divided into a longitudinal support rod and a top curved boom section. The basket is divided into a longitudinally truncated circular outer frame and a semi-circular basket. Viewed from a three-dimensional perspective, the base is flat and elongated on the front and back sides, while both ends are semi-circular arcs truncated from a circle. The handheld boom extending upwards from the base also has a long, straight support rod at the bottom and a partially truncated curved boom section at the top, similarly composed of straight lines and truncated arcs. The handheld boom connects to a suspended basket at its end. The basket's longitudinal truncated circular frame is composed of two vertical straight rod frames and two upper and lower semi-circular frames. Unlike the longitudinal support rod, the two vertical straight rod frames of the longitudinal truncated circular frame have a semi-cylindrical cross-section with an outer circle and a flat inner surface. The upper and lower semi-circular frames also have semi-circular cylindrical cross-sections, corresponding to the single cylindrical support rod. The two vertical rod frames, one on the left and one on the right, resemble a cylinder split in two, creating an interesting contrast with the aforementioned handheld boom. The semi-circular basket is also constructed from a hollow cylinder at the top and a semi-circular base at the bottom. Therefore, from the front view, it can be seen that the handheld boom and the suspended basket have some similar outlines, but the handheld boom only has a right side section, while the left side is directly cut off by the suspended basket, which is a complete closed loop, creating a contrast between the two. Similarly, in the suspended basket, the hollow interior of the longitudinally truncated circular frame is virtual, while the lower semi-circular basket is solid, again presenting a visual effect of contrast between virtual and solid. The end of the handheld boom extends into the interior of the longitudinally truncated circular frame to house a lighting structure, increasing the overall variation. Viewed from the left and right side views, another appearance emerges, primarily featuring circular elements. Whether it's the cylindrical longitudinal support rod, the semi-cylinder of the longitudinal truncated circular outer frame of the basket, or the semi-circular base, all contribute to a rounded, harmonious shape. However, viewed from the top view, the same structure appears to be divided by the curved top of the hand-held boom and the longitudinal truncated circular outer frame. Furthermore, the front and left / right views reveal that the semi-circular base of the basket forms a translucent water level indicator slit, perfectly matching the longitudinal truncated circular frame, resulting in a design with excellent overall visual appeal.
