Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This invention relates to a collaborative system and method for cross-subsidiary operations in the financial industry, and more particularly to a collaborative system and method that can integrate the human resources and knowledge systems of various subsidiaries within a financial holding group, and can securely manage communication groups and track business referrals. Prior Technology
[0002] In recent years, financial holding companies typically have multiple subsidiaries, such as banks, insurance companies, and securities companies, each with its own area of expertise and services. However, under the traditional financial services model, these subsidiaries often operate independently, lacking effective communication and collaboration mechanisms, which presents numerous drawbacks.
[0003] Firstly, regarding knowledge sharing, although each subsidiary has established its own AI-assisted system, these systems are often limited to internal use within that subsidiary. For example, when a bank customer inquires about insurance-related issues, the bank's staff cannot directly access the insurance company's AI-assisted system to obtain professional information, resulting in an inability to provide timely and accurate answers to the customer.
[0004] Secondly, regarding human resource allocation, when a customer is discussing business with a specialist from one subsidiary, if the discussion touches on the areas of expertise of other subsidiaries, the existing system cannot promptly and effectively bring in professionals from those other subsidiaries to participate in the discussion. This limitation hinders smooth cross-subsidiary services, reduces customer experience, and may also lead to missed business opportunities.
[0005] Furthermore, regarding customer data protection, the existing system lacks a secure and compliant data transfer mechanism when customers need to be referred to other subsidiaries. This could lead to violations of personal data protection regulations or improper disclosure of customer information, increasing legal risks.
[0006] Finally, regarding referral rewards, the existing system cannot effectively track and record the business development status after cross-subsidiary referrals. This results in frontline staff lacking motivation to refer business, as they cannot accurately grasp the transaction status after a referral and cannot receive corresponding referral bonuses, thus affecting the synergy within the group.
[0007] These problems not only reduce the overall operational efficiency of financial holding companies but also limit their ability to provide comprehensive financial services. Therefore, there is an urgent need for a system that can integrate the resources of various subsidiaries and enable secure and effective cross-subsidiary collaboration to improve service quality and create greater operating benefits. The embodiments cover features of multiple specific embodiments and methods and steps for constructing and operating these specific embodiments, and their order. However, other specific embodiments may also be used to achieve the same or equivalent functions and order of steps.
[0018] This invention proposes a cross-subsidiary collaboration system and method for the financial industry. Its main objective is to use an intermediary server as the core control hub, connecting specialist terminals and AI-assisted robots across subsidiaries to achieve effective allocation of human and system resources. Furthermore, the system and method of this invention ensure the security of data transmission between different subsidiaries, complying with the financial industry's regulations prohibiting the arbitrary transfer of customer data to other subsidiaries, and achieving traceability of business referrals, effectively improving the management efficiency of cross-subsidiary collaboration.
[0019] Please refer to Figure 1, which shows a system architecture diagram of a preferred embodiment of a financial industry cross-subsidiary collaboration system 100 of the present invention. System 100 includes an intermediary server 110 and multiple subsidiary servers 120, 130, and 140, wherein these servers are interconnected via a network 150. In this embodiment, these subsidiary servers are, in sequence, a bank company server 120, an insurance company server 130, and a securities company server 140, but the present invention is not limited thereto. Network 150 can be a local area network, a wide area network, the Internet, or any combination thereof.
[0020] The intermediate server 110 includes a processor 111 and a memory 112. The processor 111 may be a central processing unit (CPU), a graphics processing unit (GPU), or an application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC). The memory 112 may include random access memory (RAM) and read-only memory (ROM) for storing operating systems and applications. The intermediate server 110 also includes a database 113 for storing user data, communication records, and business tracking information. In other embodiments, the database 113 may be distributed across multiple subsidiary servers 120, 130, and 140.
[0021] The servers of each subsidiary are basically the same; the bank company server 120 will be used as an example. This server includes at least one bank employee terminal 121 and one bank company AI-assisted robot 122. The bank employee terminal 121 can be a personal computer or mobile device with a dedicated application installed. This application provides a graphical user interface, including login verification, instant messaging, and file transfer functions. The bank company AI-assisted robot 122 is an intelligent system developed based on deep learning technology. It uses a language model to process natural language input and can retrieve relevant professional information through a knowledge graph to provide answers.
[0022] In this invention, the AI-assisted robots of each subsidiary are pre-trained AI models. These models are trained using deep learning technology, drawing upon a large amount of the subsidiary's domain knowledge and historical business data. Specifically, the AI-assisted robots of the banking company are trained on banking business knowledge such as deposits, loans, and foreign exchange; the AI-assisted robots of the insurance company are trained on insurance expertise such as life insurance, health insurance, and accident insurance; and the AI-assisted robots of the securities company are trained on securities-related knowledge such as stock trading, fund investment, and the bond market.
[0023] These AI-assisted robots use large-scale language models as a foundation and combine them with knowledge graph technology to build a proprietary knowledge base for the subsidiary. The knowledge graph contains structured knowledge such as the subsidiary's product information, service processes, and regulatory requirements, enabling the robot to understand the relationships between business concepts and provide more accurate answers. For example, when discussing retirement financial planning, the insurance company's AI-assisted robot can understand the relationships between related concepts such as annuity insurance, medical insurance, and long-term care, thereby providing comprehensive protection advice.
[0024] Each AI-assisted robot is equipped with a natural language processing module, enabling it to understand the intent of questions from specialists or customers. Furthermore, the robot possesses contextual understanding capabilities, allowing it to maintain conversational coherence across multiple rounds, remember key information mentioned earlier, and provide answers more suited to the specific scenario.
[0025] When a bank employee is serving a customer on the bank employee terminal 121, if they need support from other subsidiaries, they can send a support request by clicking the "Request Support" button on the interface. The support request will specify whether the bank employee chooses to request support from an AI-assisted robot to answer questions, or whether they need support from employees of other subsidiaries. After receiving the support request, the intermediary server 110 will search for available employee resources or corresponding AI-assisted robots in the database 113 according to the business type specified in the request. For example, if the request involves insurance business, the intermediary server 110 will check the relevant resources of the insurance company in the database 113, such as confirming insurance employees who can provide assistance and their corresponding insurance employee terminals 131 or insurance company AI-assisted robots 132.
[0026] During the establishment of a communication group, the intermediary server 110 first creates a group record in the database 113, including information such as the group identification code, establishment time, and member list. When the communication group needs to span multiple subsidiaries, the system can further record the complete message routing chain in the database 113, including information such as sender, receiver, timestamp, and message type, facilitating subsequent tracking and auditing. For example, initially, a bank specialist terminal 121 establishes a bank company communication group with an external client terminal (not shown) for communication between the two parties. This bank company communication group is established and managed by the intermediary server 110, which assigns the bank company server 120 to do so. When assistance from an insurance specialist is needed, the bank specialist terminal 121 sends a support request to the intermediary server 110, and then the insurance specialist terminal 131 is added to the existing bank company communication group, making the bank company communication group a three-way communication group.
[0027] When an insurance company representative needs to have a private conversation with a client, after obtaining the client's consent, the representative's terminal 131 can request the intermediary server 110 to establish an insurance company communication group. The intermediary server 110 will then instruct the insurance company server 130 to establish and manage this new communication group. This group contains only the insurance company representative's terminal and the client's terminal, ensuring that all subsequent conversations and client data are stored directly on the insurance company server 130, guaranteeing data privacy and security. Simultaneously, the existing three-way communication group (i.e., the bank company communication group, which includes the bank representative, the insurance representative, and the client) remains operational for cross-departmental coordination when necessary. The intermediary server 110 records the relationship between these two groups in the database 113 but does not store the conversation content within the insurance company communication group. This design protects client data privacy while maintaining flexibility for cross-departmental collaboration.
[0028] Regarding business tracking, when a business referral occurs, System 100 creates a referral record in database 113, including information such as referral time, referrer, and recipient. Each subsequent business status update is recorded as an event in this referral record, forming a complete business trajectory. System 100 automatically calculates referral bonuses based on these referral records, and the calculation results are periodically pushed to the human resources system for bonus distribution.
[0029] Please refer to Figure 2, which shows a flowchart of the cross-subsidiary collaboration method in the financial industry according to the first embodiment of the present invention. This embodiment illustrates a scenario where a specialist from the first subsidiary requests support from an AI-assisted robot. The method includes the following steps:
[0030] Step S210: The intermediary server 110 receives a support request from the first subsidiary's specialist terminal. For example, when a bank specialist is serving a customer on the bank specialist terminal 121, if they need to understand information about a specific insurance product, they can send a support request through the "AI Consultation Support" button on the interface. The support request clearly specifies that artificial intelligence-assisted robot support is required and includes information such as the business type (e.g., insurance product consultation).
[0031] Step S220: The intermediary server 110 queries the database 113 for the corresponding AI-assisted robot resource based on the business type specified in the support request. In this example, since the request involves insurance business, the intermediary server 110 checks the availability status of the insurance company's AI-assisted robot 132.
[0032] Step S230: The intermediary server 110 establishes a connection between the bank commissioner terminal 121 and the insurance company's AI-assisted robot 132 . After the connection is established, the system records the relevant information of this connection in the database 113 .
[0033] Step S240: The intermediary server 110 forwards the inquiry request from the bank commissioner terminal 121 to the insurer AI-assisted robot 132 . The artificial intelligence-assisted robot trained in the field of insurance expertise understands the intention of the problem through a natural language processing module and retrieves relevant information from its knowledge graph.
[0034] Step S250: The intermediary server 110 forwards the reply from the insurance company's AI-assisted robot 132 to the bank commissioner terminal 121 . The reply contains the requested insurance product information. This process allows for multiple rounds of conversations until the bank commissioner has the required information.
[0035] Step S260: The intermediary server 110 records the complete process of this cross-departmental support in a database 113 , containing information such as support request time, consultation content, and reply content.
[0036] Referring to Figure 3, which shows a methodological flowchart of a cross-subsidiary collaboration approach in the financial industry of a second embodiment of the invention, this embodiment illustrates a situation in which the first subsidiary commissioner requests the direct participation of other subsidiary commissioners for support. The method contains the following steps:
[0037] Step 310: The intermediary server 110 receives a support request from the first subsidiary commissioner terminal (Bank Commissioner terminal 121 ). That support request specifies the need for the involvement of another subsidiary specialist for support and contains the type of business required for support. For example, when a customer additionally expresses an interest in an insurance product when discussing financial planning in a bank company communication group via the One Customer Terminal as well as the Bank Commissioner through the One Bank Commissioner Terminal 121 , the Bank Commissioner may specify the need for the Insurance Commissioner's assistance in the request for support.
[0038] Step 320: The intermediary server 110 queries the available commissioner resources in the database 113 based on the business type in that support request. System 100 considers a number of factors to select the appropriate commissioner, including the commissioner’s area of expertise, current availability, and service ratings. This intelligent resource allocation ensures that the most suitable service is provided to the customer;
[0039] Step 330: The intermediary server 110 adds the corresponding subsidiary specialist (e.g., an insurance specialist from an insurance company) to the existing bank company communication group. This communication group originally included the bank specialist terminal 121 and the customer terminal. By adding another subsidiary specialist, a three-way communication platform is formed.
[0040] Step 340: The intermediary server 110 receives a communication group establishment request from a specialist terminal of another subsidiary. When a specialist from another subsidiary (e.g., an insurance specialist from an insurance company) needs to conduct more in-depth business discussions with a client or handle information involving privacy, they can request to establish a private communication group. This request requires the client's consent before further processing can proceed.
[0041] Step 350: Intermediary server 110 assigns another subsidiary server (e.g., an insurance company server) to establish and manage a new subsidiary communication group (e.g., an insurance company communication group). This assignment process includes granting permissions, allocating resources, and setting relevant configurations. Intermediary server 110 records the establishment information of this new communication group in database 113 and maintains its association with the existing communication group (bank company communication group). This dedicated two-way communication group provides a secure environment that allows specialists to discuss more specific business details with clients. All communication content is stored directly on the subsidiary server, ensuring data privacy and security. Meanwhile, the existing three-way communication group remains operational and can be used for situations requiring cross-departmental coordination. This dual-track design ensures data security while maintaining flexibility in cross-departmental collaboration.
[0042] Step S360: The intermediary server 110 creates a business referral record in the database 113, including information such as referral time, referring bank specialist, and receiving securities specialist. Subsequent business status updates will be recorded for performance statistics and bonus calculation.
[0043] The following description illustrates an application scenario of the present invention to aid in understanding it. For example, a bank customer, Mr. Wang, establishes a bank corporate communication group with a bank specialist terminal 121 through his customer terminal. In the group, he discusses his investment and financial planning with a bank specialist, Mr. Li. During the communication, Mr. Wang mentions his interest in retirement insurance planning. The bank specialist immediately sends a support request to the intermediary server 110 through the interface of the bank specialist terminal 121 by selecting the "AI Consultation Support" button, seeking assistance from the insurance company's AI-assisted robot 132.
[0044] The insurance company's AI-assisted robot 132 retrieved relevant professional information through its knowledge graph and provided preliminary suggestions for Mr. Wang's retirement insurance plan. Then, the intermediary server 110 forwarded the response from the insurance company's AI-assisted robot 132 to the bank's agent terminal 121.
[0045] Afterwards, since Mr. Wang expressed his desire to learn more about insurance products, the bank's agent Li once again clicked the "Seek Support" button through the interface of the bank's agent terminal 121 and sent a request for support from an insurance agent.
[0046] After receiving the support request, the intermediary server 110 searches for available specialist resources in database 113 and selects Insurance Specialist Lin to join the existing bank company communication group. After initial communication and confirmation of the necessity for further detailed discussion, Insurance Specialist Lin, with Mr. Wang's consent, can send a request to the intermediary server 110 through Insurance Specialist Terminal 131 to establish an insurance company communication group. Then, the intermediary server 110 assigns Insurance Company Server 130 to establish and manage the new insurance company communication group. The newly established insurance company communication group only includes Insurance Specialist Terminal 131 and Mr. Wang's client terminal, so that all subsequent dialogue content and client data will be directly stored in Insurance Company Server 130.
[0047] Meanwhile, the existing bank corporate communication groups continue to operate to facilitate cross-departmental coordination when necessary. The intermediary server 110 records the complete business referral process in database 113, including referral time, referring bank specialist, receiving insurance specialist, and other information, for subsequent performance statistics and bonus calculations.
[0048] As described above, the cross-subsidiary collaboration system and method for the financial industry proposed in this invention uses an intermediary server as the core control hub, connecting the specialist terminals and AI-assisted robots of each subsidiary to achieve effective allocation of human and system resources across subsidiaries. Furthermore, the system and method of this invention ensure the security of data transmission between different subsidiaries, comply with the financial industry's regulations prohibiting the arbitrary transfer of customer data to other subsidiaries, and achieve traceability of business referrals, effectively improving the management efficiency of cross-subsidiary collaboration.
