Implementation

[0012] Unless otherwise specified as electrical connection, the terminology used in the following embodiments regarding connections can refer to physical connections, or direct or indirect connections between physical components.

[0013] Please refer to Figures 1 to 3. Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of the appearance of the flip-top box 100, Figure 2 is an exploded view of the front of the flip-top box 100, and Figure 3 is an exploded view of the back of the flip-top box 100. In this embodiment, the flip-top box 100 is used as a charging case for wireless earphones, a storage box for cosmetics, a tool box, or a suitcase shell. The flip-top box 100 can be covered with leather. The flip-top box 100 includes a base box 1, a top cover 2, and a connecting rod assembly 4.

[0014] The base box 1 is an elliptical concave box, but is not limited to this. In some embodiments, the base box 1 may be a circular, square, or rectangular concave box. The base box 1 has a chamber inside, and the top of the base box 1 includes an opening 10 that communicates with the chamber. The base box 1 includes a first side skirt 11, a first pivot portion 121, and a second pivot portion 122. The first side skirt 11 is located at the outer periphery of the opening 10, and the first side skirt 11 is a protruding structure that protrudes outward from the side wall of the base box 1. The first pivot portion 121 and the second pivot portion 122 are adjacent to each other and are disposed at the inner periphery of the opening 10. There is a first distance W1 between the first pivot portion 121 and the second pivot portion 122, and a second distance W2 between the third pivot portion 221 and the fourth pivot portion 222, wherein the first distance W1 is smaller than the second distance W2.

[0015] The upper cover 2 is a semi-circular concave box. The upper cover 2 and the fixed cover together cover the opening 10 of the bottom box 1. The outer periphery of the bottom end of the upper cover 2 includes a second side skirt 21. The second side skirt 21 is a protruding structure that protrudes outward from the side wall of the upper cover 2. The position of the second side skirt 21 corresponds to the first side skirt 11. The inner periphery of the upper cover 2 includes a third pivot portion 221 and a fourth pivot portion 222.

[0016] Please refer to Figures 4 and 5 simultaneously. Figure 4 is an enlarged schematic diagram of the linkage assembly 4, and Figure 5 is a side sectional view of the box 100 without the lid open. The linkage assembly 4 includes a first link 41 and a second link 42, which are multi-segment hinge arms. In this embodiment, the first link 41 has a first arm 41a and a second arm 41b, with a first inner angle Ɵ1 of less than 180 degrees between the first arm 41a and the second arm 41b. The second link 42 has a third arm 42a and a fourth arm 42b, with a second inner angle Ɵ2 of less than 180 degrees between the third arm 42a and the fourth arm 42b. The first inner angle Ɵ1 and the second inner angle Ɵ2 are set in opposite directions. As shown in Figure 5, the first inner angle Ɵ1 is inclined towards the upper right cover 2, and the second inner angle Ɵ2 is inclined towards the lower left bottom box 1. The first link 41 has an inverted T-shape when viewed from above, and the second link 42 has an H-shape when viewed from above. The second link 42 has a recess 420, and the first link 41 is movably accommodated in the recess 420, so that the first link 41 and the second link 42 are stacked together.

[0017] When the connecting rod assembly 4 is assembled with the bottom box 1 and the top cover 2, the two ends of the first connecting rod 41 are pivotally connected to the first pivot part 121 and the third pivot part 221 respectively, and the two ends of the second connecting rod 42 are pivotally connected to the second pivot part 122 and the fourth pivot part 222 respectively, so that the connecting rod assembly 4 is placed inside the bottom box 1.

[0018] In this embodiment, the first connecting rod 41 has a first shaft 411 at both ends, and the second connecting rod 42 has a second shaft 421 at both ends. The first pivot portion 121, the second pivot portion 122, the third pivot portion 221, and the fourth pivot portion 222 are all shaft holes. Each first shaft 411 and each second shaft 421 are pivotally connected to each shaft hole, but this is not a limitation. In some embodiments, the two ends of the first connecting rod 41 and the two ends of the second connecting rod 42 may have shaft holes, and the first pivot portion 121, the second pivot portion 122, the third pivot portion 221, and the fourth pivot portion 222 are all shafts, with each shaft pivotally connected to each shaft hole.

[0019] In this embodiment, there is a first distance D1 between each of the first shafts 411 at both ends of the first connecting rod 41. The first distance D1 is the radius distance of the small circle of the chain line at a point shown in Figure 5. There is a second distance D2 between each of the second shafts 421 at both ends of the second connecting rod 42. The second distance D2 is the radius distance of the large circle of the chain line at a point shown in Figure 5. The first distance D1 is smaller than the second distance D2.

[0020] In this embodiment, the inner periphery of the bottom box 1 includes a plurality of first bases 15, each first base 15 being respectively disposed at two ends of the first shaft 411 and two ends of the second shaft 421 in the bottom box 1. The inner periphery of the top cover 2 includes a second base 25, the second base 25 including a third pivot portion 221 and a fourth pivot portion 222, the third pivot portion 221 having a first rotating shaft 2211, and the fourth pivot portion 222 having a second rotating shaft 2221 smaller than the first rotating shaft 2211, the first rotating shaft 2211 and the second rotating shaft 2221 being arranged along an axis O (as shown in Figure 5). When the top cover 2 covers the opening 10 of the bottom box 1, the axis O is parallel to the horizontal direction of the bottom box 1.

[0021] Please refer to Figures 6 through 10 simultaneously. Figure 6 is a side sectional view of the box 100 at the first angle of the lid being opened; Figure 7 is a perspective sectional view of the box 100 at the first angle of the lid being opened; Figure 8 is a side sectional view of the box 100 at the second angle of the lid being opened; Figure 9 is a perspective sectional view of the box 100 at the second angle of the lid being opened; and Figure 10 is a side sectional view of the box 100 at the third angle of the lid being opened. In this embodiment, the top of the bottom box 1 has a notch 14, and one end of the first connecting rod 41 has a cover plate 414. When the top cover 2 covers the opening 10 of the bottom box 1, the cover plate 414 closes at the notch 14. In addition, when the top cover 2 is opened in the opening 10 of the bottom box 1, the top cover 2 drives the first connecting rod 41 and the second connecting rod 42 to rotate. The first connecting rod 41 rotates around the first pivot 121, and the second connecting rod 42 rotates around the second pivot 122.

[0022] When the top cover 2 is opened relative to the opening 10 of the bottom box 1, the top cover 2 is rotatably lifted by the connecting rod assembly 4 to separate it from the opening 10, and the second side skirt 21 of the top cover 2 moves and rotates away from the first side skirt 11 of the bottom box 1, so that the second side skirt 21 will not interfere with the first side skirt 11 during rotation. In other words, the connecting rod assembly 4 lifts and rotates the top cover 2 away from the bottom box 1, so that the rotation path of the second side skirt 21 will not overlap with the first side skirt 11, and the second side skirt 21 will not contact or collide with the first side skirt 11 during rotation, thus avoiding damage to the appearance of the flip-top box 100 and providing a smooth opening and use function.

[0023] When the top cover 2 is opened about 30 degrees relative to the opening 10 of the bottom box 1 (as shown in Figures 6 and 7), a part of the cover plate 414 at one end of the first connecting rod 41 swings into the bottom box 1, while the other part of the cover plate 414 is located in the notch 14. The other end of the first connecting rod 41 moves to slightly above the opening 10 of the bottom box 1, and the first connecting rod 41 and the second connecting rod 42 rotate from the leftward tilted state in Figure 5 to a slightly upright state perpendicular to the bottom box 1.

[0024] When the top cover 2 is opened about 80 degrees relative to the opening 10 of the bottom box 1 (as shown in Figures 8 and 9), the cover plate 414 at one end of the first connecting rod 41 swings into the bottom box 1, and the first connecting rod 41 and the second connecting rod 42 rotate from the upright state perpendicular to the bottom box 1 in Figure 6 to the rightward tilting state in Figure 8. At this time, the clearance space of the notch 14 allows the first connecting rod 41 and the second connecting rod 42 to swing into it, avoiding interference with the bottom box 1 during the rotation process.

[0025] When the top cover 2 is opened about 120 degrees relative to the opening 10 of the bottom box 1 (as shown in Figure 10), the first connecting rod 41 and the second connecting rod 42 rotate and swing into the notch 14. Through this structural configuration, the opening angle of the top cover 2 is increased, the opening 10 can be fully opened to facilitate the placement of external objects into the bottom box 1, and the connecting rods are prevented from interfering with the bottom box 1 during rotation.

[0026] In summary, according to some embodiments, when the top cover is opened relative to the opening of the bottom box, the top cover is rotatably lifted by the linkage assembly to separate it from the opening, and the second side skirt of the top cover moves and rotates away from the first side skirt of the bottom box, so that the second side skirt does not interfere with the first side skirt during rotation, allowing for smooth opening and use, and avoiding damage to the appearance of the box body when the cover is opened.
