Description

Technical Field

[0001] This invention relates to a fabric, particularly a warp-knitted fabric in which the yarn can form a large displacement distance in the weft direction to achieve local reinforcement or pattern variation. Prior Technology

[0002] Warp-knitted fabrics are typically made by weaving yarns guided by multiple guide bars through needles, arranging them along the warp direction to form a stitch row, thus creating a fabric surface with a specific structure. Most existing warp-knitted fabrics are formed from single or multiple layers of yarn, with each layer bonded together through looping or interlocking to provide basic fabric strength, appearance, and breathability. However, it is known that the ability to arrange yarns in the weft direction of warp-knitted fabrics is limited.

[0003] As shown in Figure 1, in a conventional warp-knitted fabric 90, the yarn 91 can only undergo slight weft displacement between adjacent needle rows, which is only sufficient to form subtle patterns or local differences. If it is desired to form functional areas 92 (indicated by red lines) in a local area of the fabric 90, such as patterns or reinforcing areas, it is necessary to use complex structures, additional layers, or to form floats on the back side of the fabric. However, such methods tend to thicken the fabric and waste yarn, making it difficult to achieve both functionality and lightweight. Summary of the Invention

[0004] The main objective of this invention is to provide a warp-knitted fabric in which the yarns can form a large displacement distance in the weft direction, so as to achieve local reinforcement or pattern changes and improve the functionality and design freedom of the fabric.

[0005] Embodiments of the present invention disclose a warp-knitted fabric comprising a first layer and a second layer. The first layer consists of a plurality of first yarns forming a plurality of first loops along the warp direction, and the first loops formed by the plurality of first yarns at the same weft position are arranged along the warp direction to form a plurality of first stitches. The second layer consists of a plurality of second yarns forming a plurality of second loops along the warp direction, and the second loops formed by the plurality of second yarns at the same weft position are arranged along the warp direction to form a plurality of second stitches. The second layer is partially connected to the front or back of the first layer. At least one of the plurality of second yarns, when forming its second loop, crosses from any second stitch to a second stitch adjacent to its warp direction to form a weft distance greater than 0.5 inches.

[0006] In embodiments of the present invention, the latitudinal distance is less than or equal to 10 inches.

[0007] In an embodiment of the present invention, the warp-knitted fabric further includes at least one hole, and the at least one hole penetrates the first layer.

[0008] In an embodiment of the present invention, the at least one hole penetrates through the first layer and the second layer.

[0009] In an embodiment of the present invention, the second layer forms at least one reinforcing region in a local area of the first needle row and the second needle row.

[0010] In embodiments of the present invention, the plurality of second yarns includes at least one functional yarn, which is selected from elastic yarn, abrasion-resistant yarn, reflective yarn, or a combination thereof.

[0011] In an embodiment of the present invention, the weft distance is measured as the weft offset between the second yarn loops of two adjacent second needle rows.

[0012] In an embodiment of the present invention, the first layer is a base layer and the second layer is a functional layer.

[0013] In embodiments of the present invention, the second layer utilizes Jacquard needle selection technology to form patterns, reinforcing structures, or open areas.

[0014] In an embodiment of the present invention, the second layer includes at least one jacquard region.

[0015] Based on the above, the warp-knitted fabric provided in this embodiment of the invention, through at least one second yarn crossing adjacent needle rows when forming a loop, forms a weft displacement distance greater than that of a conventional warp-knitted structure. This allows the second layer to form locally reinforcing areas, perforated areas, or patterned functional areas on the fabric. Therefore, this invention can improve the strength, breathability, appearance variation, and design freedom of fabrics without increasing yarn usage, fabric thickness, or weight, and effectively improves the structural and functional limitations caused by the restricted weft configuration in conventional warp-knitted fabrics.

[0016] To make the above features and advantages of the present invention more apparent and understandable, specific embodiments are described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings for detailed explanation. Simple Explanation of the Diagram

[0017] Figure 1 is a schematic diagram of a traditional warp-knitted fabric. Figure 2 is a schematic diagram of a warp-knitted fabric according to an embodiment of the present invention. Figure 3 is a partial enlarged view of the warp-knitted fabric shown in Figure 2. Figure 4 is a schematic diagram of the first layer of the warp-knitted fabric shown in Figure 2. Figure 5 is a schematic diagram of the second layer of the warp-knitted fabric shown in Figure 2. Implementation

[0018] Please refer to Figures 1 to 5, which respectively show schematic diagrams of a warp-knitted fabric and its layers according to an embodiment of the present invention. The present invention provides a warp-knitted fabric 1, including a first layer 10 and a second layer 20. The first layer 10 is formed by a plurality of first yarns 11 forming a plurality of first loops 12 along the warp direction, and the first loops 12 formed by the plurality of first yarns 11 at the same weft position are arranged along the warp direction to form a plurality of first stitches 13 (indicated by green lines). The second layer 20 is formed by a plurality of second yarns 21 forming a plurality of second loops 22 along the warp direction, and the second loops 22 formed by the plurality of second yarns 21 at the same weft position are arranged along the warp direction to form a plurality of second stitches 23, and the second layer 20 is partially connected to the front (indicated by blue lines) or back (indicated by black lines) of the first layer 10. In this process, at least one of the plurality of second yarns 21, when forming its second loop 22, crosses from any second needle row 23 to the second needle row 23 adjacent to it in the warp direction, so as to form a weft distance D greater than 0.5 inches.

[0019] Furthermore, the weft distance is less than or equal to 10 inches, and the aforementioned weft distance D is the weft offset measured between the second yarn loops 22 of two adjacent second needle rows 23. For example, as shown in Figure 5, looking at the second yarn 21 marked in the lower right corner of Figure 5, the weft offset from the fourth course (in English terminology) to the fifth course (in English terminology) of the plurality of second needle rows 23, that is, the weft distance D (marked by the double arrow segment in Figure 5), is 10 inches.

[0020] The warp-knitted fabric 1 also includes at least one hole 30, and the at least one hole 30 penetrates the first layer 10, or penetrates the first layer 10 and the second layer 20.

[0021] To enhance functionality, the second layer 20 forms at least one reinforcing region 40 in a local area of the first needle row 13 and the second needle row 23, and the plurality of second yarns (21) include at least one functional yarn selected from elastic yarn, abrasion-resistant yarn, reflective yarn or a combination thereof.

[0022] In this embodiment, the first layer 10 is a base layer, commonly referred to as a ground fabric layer, and the second layer 20 is a functional layer. The second layer 20 utilizes Jacquard needle selection technology to form patterns, reinforcing structures, or opening areas; therefore, the second layer 20 is commonly referred to as a jacquard-patterned layer. Furthermore, the second layer 20 includes at least one jacquard region, commonly referred to as a jacquard-patterned region.

[0023] In summary, the warp-knitted fabric 1 of the present invention generates a weft distance D greater than 0.5 inches by having at least one second yarn 21 in the second layer 20 cross the adjacent second needle row 23 when forming the second yarn loop 22, thus enabling the second layer 20 to exhibit a significant weft displacement effect in the warp-knitted fabric 1. Compared to conventional warp-knitted structures that can only achieve weft displacement within a small needle pitch range, the long needle displacement span provided by the present invention can form local reinforcement areas 40, decorative areas, breathable opening areas, or other functional areas on the fabric surface of the warp-knitted fabric 1 without adding extra layers or back float structures, effectively reducing yarn usage or fabric thickness and weight. Therefore, the warp-knitted fabric 1 of the present invention maintains lightweight while still possessing excellent structural strength, breathability, design versatility, and material utilization efficiency. Furthermore, functional yarns can be selected according to different application requirements to improve performance, thereby expanding the application range of the warp-knitted fabric 1 in footwear, sporting goods, wearable products, and industrial fabrics.

[0024] Although the present invention has been disclosed above by way of embodiments, it is not intended to limit the present invention. Anyone skilled in the art can make some modifications and refinements without departing from the spirit and scope of the present invention. Therefore, the scope of protection of the present invention shall be determined by the appended claims.
