Abstract

A display device includes a flexible display panel, a substrate, a cover plate, a first connector, and a first adhesive layer. The substrate is located on the bottom side of the flexible display panel and has a normal direction and a first direction and a second direction perpendicular to the normal direction, the first direction being perpendicular to the second direction. The cover plate is located on the top side of the flexible display panel. The first adhesive layer is located between the cover plate and the flexible display panel. The two first sides of the flexible display panel extend in directions parallel to the second direction. The bending axis of the flexible display panel is parallel to the first direction, and the display surface of the flexible display panel is adapted to convex outward in a direction away from the substrate. The first adhesive layer includes two opposing third sides, the two third sides being parallel and aligned with the two first sides. In the first direction, the length of the cover plate is greater than the length of the first adhesive layer.

Claims

1. A display device, comprising: A flexible display panel having a top side and a bottom side opposite to each other; A substrate, located on the bottom side, has a normal direction and a first direction and a second direction perpendicular to the normal direction, the first direction being perpendicular to the second direction; a cover plate, located on the top side; a first connector, located between the substrate and the flexible display panel; and a first adhesive layer, located between the cover plate and the flexible display panel. The flexible display panel includes two opposing first sides and two opposing second sides, the extension directions of the two first sides being parallel to the second direction, the extension directions of the two second sides being parallel to the first direction, the bending axis of the flexible display panel being parallel to the first direction, and the display surface of the flexible display panel being adapted to convex outward in a direction away from the substrate. The first adhesive layer includes two opposing third sides, the two third sides being parallel and aligned with the two first sides. In the first direction parallel to the bending axis of the flexible display panel, the first adhesive layer is the same length as the flexible display panel, and the length of the cover plate is greater than the length of the first adhesive layer.

2. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein in the first direction, the length of the cover plate is greater than the length of the substrate.

3. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the length of the first connector is less than or equal to the length of the flexible display panel.

4. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the length of the first connector is less than or equal to the length of the substrate.

5. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the length of the first connector is less than or equal to the length of the first adhesive layer.

6. The display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the storage modulus of the first adhesive layer is between 20% and 60% of the storage modulus of the first connector.

7. The display device as claimed in claim 1 further includes a bonding layer located on the cover plate, wherein the length of the bonding layer is greater than the length of the first adhesive layer in the first direction and the second direction, the length of the bonding layer is greater than the length of the first connector, and the length of the bonding layer is greater than the length of the cover plate.

8. The display device as claimed in claim 7 further includes a protective member, the bonding layer being located between the protective member and the cover plate.

9. The display device as claimed in claim 7, further comprising: A second connector is located between the bottom side and the first connector; And a back membrane located between the second connector and the first connector.

10. The display device as claimed in claim 9, further comprising: A touch panel is located on the first adhesive layer, the touch panel includes two opposing fourth sides, the two fourth sides are parallel and aligned with the first side; and a second adhesive layer is located between the touch panel and the cover plate, the length of the second adhesive layer is equal to the length of the first adhesive layer in the first direction.

11. The display device of claim 10, wherein in the second direction, the length of the flexible display panel is greater than the length of the second adhesive layer, the first adhesive layer and the touch panel.

12. The display device as claimed in claim 10, wherein in the second direction, the length of the touch panel is greater than the length of the second adhesive layer.

13. The display device of claim 10, wherein the length of the second adhesive layer is greater than or equal to the length of the first connector in the first direction and the second direction.

14. The display device of claim 10, wherein the storage modulus of the first adhesive layer is less than the storage modulus of the second adhesive layer, and the storage modulus of the second adhesive layer is less than the storage modulus of the first connector.

15. The display device of claim 10, wherein the storage modulus of the first adhesive layer is less than the storage modulus of the second adhesive layer, and the storage modulus of the second adhesive layer is less than the storage modulus of the second connector.

16. The display device as claimed in claim 10 further includes a light shield disposed on the cover plate, wherein the thickness of the bonding layer in the normal direction is greater than the thickness of the second adhesive layer in the normal direction.

17. The display device as claimed in claim 10 further includes a light shield, wherein the second adhesive layer is disposed under the cover plate and the thickness of the bonding layer in the normal direction is greater than the thickness of the bonding layer in the normal direction.

18. The display device of claim 9, wherein the storage modulus of the first adhesive layer is between 20% and 60% of the storage modulus of the second connector.
