Wireless network system and method for sharing connection authentication information thereof

Abstract

A wireless network system and its connection authentication information sharing method are disclosed here. In the wireless network system, when the connection request of a mobile device is successfully authenticated by one wireless access point, the wireless access point provides the connection authentication information of the mobile device to the other wireless access point so that the two wireless access points jointly store the connection authentication information

Claims

1. A wireless network system comprising: a first wireless access point; and a second wireless access point communicatively connected to the first wireless access point, and configured to: when a mobile device requests a connection, perform connection authentication for the mobile device using a forced portal; and after completing the connection authentication of the mobile device, provide the connection authentication information of the mobile device to the first wireless access point, so that the first access point and the second wireless access point jointly store the connection authentication information of the mobile device.

The wireless network system as described in claim 1, wherein: The second wireless access point is further configured to: broadcast an update information notification after completing the connection authentication of the mobile device; the first wireless access point is further configured to: unicast an update information request to the second wireless access point after receiving the update information notification; and the second wireless access point is further configured to: unicast an update information response to the first wireless access point after receiving the update information request, the update information response including the connection authentication information of the mobile device.

3. The wireless network system as described in claim 1, wherein: The second wireless access point is also used to provide the first wireless access point with the connection authentication information of the mobile device after the first wireless access point is restarted.

The wireless network system as described in claim 3, wherein: The first wireless access point is further configured to: broadcast a request information notification after the first wireless access point restarts; the second wireless access point is further configured to: unicast a proposal notification to the first wireless access point after receiving the request information notification; the first wireless access point is further configured to: unicast an update information request to the second wireless access point after receiving the proposal notification; and the second wireless access point is further configured to: unicast an update information response to the first wireless access point after receiving the update information request, the update information response including the connection authentication information of the mobile device.

The wireless network system as described in claim 4 further includes a third wireless access point, wherein: The third wireless access point is communicatively connected to the first wireless access point and the second access point, and is configured to unicast a proposal notification to the first wireless access point after receiving the request information notification; and the first wireless access point receives the proposal notification from the second wireless access point earlier than it receives the proposal notification from the third access point.

6. The wireless network system as described in claim 1, wherein, The first and second wireless access points are also used to delete the connection authentication information of the mobile device at the end of a preset time interval.

A connection authentication information sharing method, the connection authentication information sharing method being performed by a wireless network system, the wireless network system including a first wireless access point and a second wireless access point communicatively connected to the first wireless access point, the connection authentication information sharing method comprising the following steps: when a mobile device requests a connection from the second wireless access point, the second wireless access point performs connection authentication for the mobile device using a forced portal; and after completing the connection authentication of the mobile device, the second wireless access point provides the connection authentication information of the mobile device to the first wireless access point, so that the first access point and the second wireless access point jointly store the connection authentication information of the mobile device.

The connection authentication information sharing method as described in claim 9 further comprises: after the second wireless access point completes the connection authentication of the mobile device, the second wireless access point broadcasts an update information notification; after the first wireless access point receives the update information notification, the first wireless access point unicasts an update information request to the second wireless access point; and after the second wireless access point receives the update information request, the second wireless access point unicasts an update information response to the first wireless access point, wherein... The connection authentication information sharing method as described in claim 11 further comprises: after the first wireless access point restarts, the first wireless access point broadcasts a request information notification; after the second wireless access point receives the request information notification, the second wireless access point unicasts a proposal notification to the first wireless access point; after the first wireless access point receives the proposal notification, the first wireless access point unicasts an update information request to the second wireless access point; and after the second wireless access point receives the update information request, the second wireless access point unicasts an update information response to the first wireless access point, wherein... The update response includes the connection authentication information of the mobile device.
