Abstract
Claims
1. An encoding apparatus comprising: a memory; and circuitry connected to the memory, the circuitry being configured to: select a first table from a plurality of tables, each of the plurality of tables associating a plurality of indices with a respective correction value, the respective tables being used to modify a movement vector of a current block contained in an image; write a parameter representing a first index to a bitstream, the first index being derived from a plurality of indices of the first table; specify a correction value associated with the first index; modify the movement vector in a predetermined direction using the correction value; and encode the current block based on the modified movement vector; wherein, The difference between two of the aforementioned correction values in the plurality of aforementioned correction values in the aforementioned tables associated with the same two aforementioned indices varies depending on the table, and the change of the aforementioned correction value varies depending on the table when the aforementioned first index is increased by 1. The minimum correction values contained in each of the aforementioned plurality of tables are different from each other. The aforementioned plurality of tables include the aforementioned first table containing a plurality of sub-pixel correction values and a plurality of integer pixel correction values.

A decoding apparatus comprising: a memory; and circuitry connected to the memory, wherein the circuitry is configured to: select a first table from a plurality of tables, each of the plurality of tables associating a plurality of indices with a respective correction value, the respective tables being used to modify a movement vector of a current block contained in an image; parse a parameter representing a first index, the first index being selected from the plurality of indices included in the first table; identify a correction value associated with the first index; modify the movement vector in a predetermined direction using the correction value; and decode the current block based on the modified movement vector; wherein, The difference between two of the aforementioned correction values in the plurality of aforementioned correction values in the aforementioned tables associated with the same two aforementioned indices varies depending on the table, and the change of the aforementioned correction value varies depending on the table when the aforementioned first index is increased by 1. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a bitstream containing prediction information, wherein a decoding device performs prediction processing based on the prediction information, the prediction processing including: A first table is selected from a plurality of tables, each of which associates a plurality of indices with its respective correction value.
