Abstract

An operating method of a warning system includes: detecting within a range by a sensor and generating an image; identifying whether there is an object in the image by the sensor; when there is an object in the image, determining whether the distance between the object and the sensor is less than a warning distance; and activating a warning light when the distance is less than the warning distance, wherein the warning light has a first flashing mode and a second flashing mode.

Claims

1. A method for operating an alert system, comprising: A sensor detects within a range along a direction of travel and generates an image; the sensor identifies whether an object is present in the image; when the object is present in the image, it is determined whether the distance between the object and the sensor is less than a warning distance; and when the distance is less than the warning distance, a warning light is activated, wherein the warning light provides a warning in the opposite direction of travel, and wherein the warning light has a first flashing mode and a second flashing mode.

2. The method of operation as described in claim 1, wherein identifying whether the object is present in the image comprises: taking a picture within the range and generating a plurality of training images; labeling the object in each of the training images and generating a plurality of image data respectively; training a recognition model using the image data; and identifying whether the object is present in the image using the recognition model.

3. The operation method as described in claim 1, wherein determining whether the distance is greater than the warning distance includes: calculating a first area of the screen and a second area of the object; calculating a ratio of the first area to the second area; when the ratio is greater than a preset ratio, determining that the distance is less than the warning distance and activating the warning light; and when the ratio is less than the preset ratio, determining that the distance is greater than the warning distance and keeping the warning light off.

4. The operating method as described in claim 1, further comprising: when a vehicle having the warning system changes its direction of travel from a first direction to a second direction and the distance is less than the warning distance, activating the warning light and converting the first flashing mode to the second flashing mode; and when the vehicle having the warning system travels along the first direction and the distance is less than the warning distance, activating the warning light to generate the second flashing mode.

5. The method of operation as described in claim 4, wherein the first flashing mode has a first flashing frequency and the second flashing mode has a second flashing frequency, and the first flashing frequency and the second flashing frequency are different from each other.

6. An alert system, comprising: A sensor is used to detect within a range in a direction of travel and generate an image and a judgment result; A controller, connected to the sensor, is used to receive the judgment result; and a warning light, connected to the controller, the warning light provides a warning in the opposite direction of travel and has a first flashing mode and a second flashing mode, wherein the judgment result is used to indicate whether there is an object in the image, and when there is an object in the image, the sensor further determines whether the object is larger than a preset ratio, and the controller enables or disables the warning light according to the judgment result.

7. The warning system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the sensor calculates a ratio of the first area to the second area based on a first area of the screen and a second area of the object, and compares whether the ratio is greater than a preset ratio; when the ratio is greater than the preset ratio, the controller activates the warning light; and when the ratio is less than the preset ratio, the controller keeps the warning light off.

8. The alert system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the sensor is further configured to capture a plurality of training images within the range, and to label each of the training images with the object to generate a plurality of image data, the sensor training the image data to generate a recognition model, and wherein, The recognition model is used to identify whether the object is present in the image.

9. The warning system as claimed in claim 6, wherein when a vehicle having the warning system changes from a first direction to a second direction in the direction of travel, and when a distance between the sensor and the object is less than a warning distance, the warning light is activated and the first flashing mode is switched to the second flashing mode; when the vehicle having the warning system moves along the first direction, and when the distance is less than the warning distance, the warning light is activated to generate the second flashing mode.

10. The warning system as claimed in claim 9, wherein the first flashing mode has a first flashing frequency and the second flashing mode has a second flashing frequency, and the first flashing frequency and the second flashing frequency are different from each other.
