Direction indicator assistance device and direction indicator assistance method

Abstract

A turn signal assist device and a turn signal assist method are disclosed. The turn signal assist device, suitable for a mobile vehicle equipped with turn signals and a navigation service device, includes: a storage element and a processor, wherein the processor is connected to the storage element. The storage element stores current turning position information and previous turning position information from the navigation service device. The processor, when the turn signal is on, compares whether the current turning position information and the previous turning position information are the same, and when the current turning position information and the previous turning position information are different and the previous turning position information is not null, waits for a preset time and then outputs a turn signal to turn off the turn signal.

Claims

1. A turn signal assist device, applicable to a mobile vehicle having a turn signal and a navigation service device, comprising: a storage element for storing current turning position information and previous turning position information from the navigation service device; and a processor connected to the storage element, the processor being configured to, when the turn signal is in an on state, compare whether the current turning position information and the previous turning position information are the same, and when the current turning position information and the previous turning position information are different and the previous turning position information is not null, wait for a preset time and then output a turn signal to turn off the turn signal.

The turn signal assist device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to output a turn signal for the turn signal when the turn signal is in a closed state and the difference between the current turning position information and the current position information of the moving vehicle is less than a preset distance.

3. The turn signal assist device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the processor is further connected to a turn signal operating device and sets the previous turning position information to a null value when the turn signal operating device outputs an operating signal.

4. The turn signal assist device as described in claim 1 further includes a setting interface connected to the processor, the setting interface being used to set the preset time.

The turn signal assist device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the processor includes an optical character recognition model, the processor is further configured to use the optical character recognition model to obtain the current turning position information on a display screen of the navigation service device, and output it to the storage element.

6. The turn signal assist device as claimed in claim 5, wherein the processor is further configured to collect the current turning position information on the display screen of the navigation service device at a predetermined period.

7. A turn signal assist method, applicable to a mobile vehicle having a turn signal and a navigation service device, comprising: when the turn signal is in an on state, comparing whether a current turning position information and a previous turning position information from the navigation service device are the same; and when the current turning position information and the previous turning position information are not the same and the previous turning position information is not null, waiting for a preset time and then outputting a turn signal to turn off the turn signal.

8. The turn signal assist method as described in claim 7 further includes outputting a turn signal for the turn signal when the turn signal is in a closed state and the difference between the current turning position information and the current position information of the moving vehicle is less than a preset distance.

9. The turn signal assist method as described in claim 7 further includes setting the previous turning position information to a null value when a turn signal operating device outputs an operating signal.

10. The turn signal assist method as described in claim 7 further includes obtaining the current turning position information on a display screen of the navigation service device using an optical character recognition model.
