Abstract

A retractable connector module is installed in a host having a motherboard, a host housing, and a first connector module. The host housing has an extended housing plane and a first opening. The first connector module is disposed in the first opening and electrically connected to the motherboard, and connected to a first connector element. It includes: a fixed bracket connected to the host housing, the host housing also having a second opening, and the fixed bracket having a bracket bend formed from the housing plane toward the motherboard, and having a bend opening correspondingly disposed at the second opening; and a retractable connector passing through the bend opening and electrically connected to the motherboard, the retractable connector being disposed internally in the housing plane toward the motherboard and connected to a second connector element.

Claims

1. A retractable connector module, installed within a host computer, the host computer including a motherboard, a host casing, and a first connector module, the host casing having an extended casing plane and a first opening, the first connector module being disposed in the first opening and electrically connected to the motherboard, and connected to a first connector element, the retractable connector module comprising: a fixing bracket connected to the host casing, the host casing also having a second opening, and the fixing bracket forming a bracket bend from the casing plane toward the motherboard, the bracket bend having a bend opening correspondingly disposed at the second opening; and a retractable connector passing through the bend opening and electrically connected to the motherboard, wherein the substantial portion of the retractable connector is disposed inside the casing plane toward the motherboard and connected to a second connector element, wherein... The first connector element has a first exposed length that is exposed outside one of the main unit housings, and the second connector element has a second exposed length that is exposed outside one of the main unit housings, and the second exposed length is substantially equal to the first exposed length.

2. The retractable connector module as described in claim 1, wherein, The mounting bracket is connected to the motherboard.

3. The retractable connector module as described in claim 1, wherein, The second opening is adjacent to the first opening, so that the retractable connector is adjacent to the first connector module.

4. The retractable connector module as described in claim 3, wherein, The first connector module is connected to the motherboard through a portion of the mounting bracket.
