Abstract

A drone-based firefighting system includes a first temperature monitoring device, a main control module, a drone, and a drone platform. The first temperature monitoring device monitors the temperature of the monitored area to obtain temperature data. The main control module obtains the coordinates of the area requiring firefighting based on the temperature data. The drone is equipped with a second temperature monitoring device, a flight control module, and a fire extinguishing material carrying mechanism. The flight control module controls the drone to fly to the vicinity of the area requiring firefighting based on the coordinates. The fire extinguishing material carrying mechanism carries a container of fire extinguishing material and releases or sprays the fire extinguishing material from the container near the area requiring firefighting. The drone platform provides a docking station for the drone and supplies the fire extinguishing material container. A charging device on the drone platform charges the drone, and the drone is adapted to automatically detach from the charging device.

Claims

1. A drone firefighting system, comprising: The system comprises: at least one first temperature monitoring device, installed in a monitored area and adapted to monitor the temperature of at least one object within the monitored area to obtain temperature data; a main control module, coupled to the at least one first temperature monitoring device and adapted to obtain a coordinate of a fire-fighting area within the monitored area based on the temperature data; a drone, equipped with a second temperature monitoring device, a flight control module, and a fire extinguishing material carrying mechanism, wherein the flight control module is adapted to control the drone to automatically fly to the vicinity of the fire-fighting area based on the coordinate, the fire extinguishing material carrying mechanism is adapted to carry a fire extinguishing material container and is adapted to release the fire extinguishing material container or spray the fire extinguishing material in the fire extinguishing material container near the fire-fighting area; and a drone platform, adapted for docking the drone and supplying the drone with the fire extinguishing material container, wherein the drone platform is equipped with a charging device adapted to charge the drone, and the drone is adapted to automatically detach from the charging device. The second temperature monitoring device is adapted to detect the ambient temperature near the area to be extinguished in order to determine the location of a fire. The flight control module controls the drone to move to the preset initial fire extinguishing position based on the detected fire location and to carry out fire extinguishing actions in the area to be extinguished. The flight control module controls the height and position of the fire extinguishing material carrying mechanism to release the fire extinguishing material container or spray the fire extinguishing material in the fire extinguishing material container based on the fire location.

The drone fire suppression system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one first temperature monitoring device includes a plurality of first temperature monitoring devices, the first temperature monitoring devices being adapted to monitor different blocks of the monitored site respectively, the integrated blocks completely covering the entire monitored site, and the first temperature monitoring devices respectively transmitting multiple thermal images corresponding to the blocks to the main control module.

3. The drone firefighting system as claimed in claim 2, wherein the main control module includes a correction unit adapted to convert the pixel positions of each of the thermal images into the coordinates.

4. The drone fire suppression system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the drone platform is provided with a continuous supply module adapted to allow the drone to repeatedly obtain the fire extinguishing material container.

The drone fire extinguishing system as described in claim 4, wherein after the drone releases the fire extinguishing agent container or after spraying all the fire extinguishing agent in the fire extinguishing agent container and releasing the fire extinguishing agent container, the drone automatically flies back to the drone platform and retrieves the fire extinguishing agent container again, so as to continue fire extinguishing.

6. The drone firefighting system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the drone platform is provided with a positioning assistance unit adapted to assist the drone in returning to the drone platform.

The drone firefighting system as claimed in claim 6, wherein the positioning assistance unit includes at least one of an assistance marker and a positioning mechanism, the drone is adapted to capture a marker image of the assistance marker and determine a correct landing position by means of the marker image, and the positioning mechanism is adapted to move the landed drone to the correct landing position.

The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) fire suppression system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fire extinguishing material container includes at least one fire extinguishing projectile, and the fire extinguishing material carrying mechanism is adapted to release the at least one fire extinguishing projectile to throw the at least one fire extinguishing projectile into the fire scene.

9. The drone fire extinguishing system as described in claim 8, wherein the at least one fire extinguishing projectile comprises a plurality of fire extinguishing projectiles, which constitute a fire extinguishing projectile assembly module.

The drone fire suppression system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fire extinguishing material container includes at least one pressurized fire extinguishing powder canister and has a switch, and the fire extinguishing material carrying mechanism is adapted to actuate the switch to spray fire extinguishing powder to the fire scene.

The drone fire extinguishing system as claimed in claim 10, wherein the at least one pressurized fire extinguishing powder canister comprises a plurality of pressurized fire extinguishing powder canisters, the pressurized fire extinguishing powder canisters constituting a pressurized fire extinguishing powder canister assembly module.

12. The unmanned aerial vehicle fire extinguishing system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fire extinguishing material carrying mechanism includes a gripper adapted to grasp and release the fire extinguishing material container.

13. The unmanned aerial vehicle fire extinguishing system as claimed in claim 1, wherein the fire extinguishing material carrying mechanism includes a gripper adapted to drive the fire extinguishing material container to spray the fire extinguishing material.
