Abstract

An adjustable dumbbell system includes a base, a plurality of weight plates arranged at both ends of the base, and a handle assembly disposed between the two ends of the base. The handle assembly has a handle, two telescopic members, and at least one locking mechanism. While the telescopic members are displaced along the length direction of the base, a plurality of positioning portions of the locking mechanism are displaced relative to a locking member. When the handle assembly leaves the base, the locking member of the locking mechanism engages with a positioning portion located at a specific relative position, thereby locking the telescopic member in one of a plurality of telescopic positions along the length direction. The spacing between the positioning portions of the locking mechanism is not uniform, and the spacing between the telescopic positions of the telescopic members is also not uniform.
