[0048] According to various embodiments, each row of at least one row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 may be parallel to the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110. According to various embodiments, each row of at least one row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 may be supported by the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 in a manner parallel to the central axis 118. According to various embodiments, each row of at least one row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 may be perpendicular to the base substrate 112 of the light-emitting module 110.

[0049] According to various embodiments, the lamp 100 may include two or more rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126. Therefore, the lamp 100 may include two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or more rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126. According to various embodiments, the two or more rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 may be circumferentially distributed around the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110. Therefore, each row of the two or more rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 may be along different longitudinal sides of the elongated support structure 122. According to various embodiments, the two or more rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 may be evenly spaced from each other at equal angles relative to the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110. For example, when there are two rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126, the two rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 can be spaced 180° apart from each other relative to the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110, thereby dividing the elongated support structure 122 into four equal quadrants along the four longitudinal sides of the elongated support structure 122. As another example, when there are four rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126, the four rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 can be spaced 90° apart from each other relative to the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110, thereby dividing the elongated support structure 122 into eight equal sectors along the eight longitudinal sides of the elongated support structure 122. As yet another example, when there are eight rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126, the eight rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 can be spaced 45° apart from each other relative to the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110, thereby dividing the elongated support structure 122 into eight equal sectors along the eight longitudinal sides of the elongated support structure 122.

[0050] According to various embodiments, the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 may include a tubular wall structure 132. According to various embodiments, the tubular wall structure 132 may define a hollow channel 134 extending longitudinally through the elongated support structure 122 along the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110. Therefore, the hollow channel 134 may extend longitudinally or through the elongated support structure 122. Furthermore, the tubular wall structure 132 may be aligned with the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110, such that the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110 can pass through the hollow channel 134. According to various embodiments, the centerline of the hollow channel 134 may coincide with the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110, such that the central axis 118 may also be the longitudinal axis of the hollow channel 134.

[0051] According to various embodiments, the distal end 122b of the elongated support structure 122, away from the base substrate 112, may include a channel opening 136 for the hollow channel 134. Therefore, the channel opening 136 can provide an entrance to the hollow channel 134 of the elongated support structure 122. Thus, the distal end 122b of the elongated support structure 122, furthest from the base substrate 122, can be opened to access the hollow channel 134.

[0052] According to various embodiments, the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 may include a plurality of fins 138 within the hollow channel 134. According to various embodiments, the plurality of fins 138 may extend longitudinally along the inner surface 132a of the tubular wall structure 132 of the elongated support structure 122 and protrude inwardly from the inner surface 132a of the tubular wall structure 132 toward the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110. Therefore, the fin base 138b of each of the plurality of fins 138 may be engaged with the inner surface 132a of the tubular wall structure 132 of the elongated support structure 122, and the fin end 138a of each of the plurality of fins 138 (which is opposite to the fin base 138b) may be guided away from the inner surface 132a of the tubular wall structure 132.

[0053] According to various embodiments, each of the plurality of fins 138 can be used as an extension surface of the elongated support structure 122 to increase the heat transfer rate to the environment by increasing the convective surface area. Therefore, heat generated by at least one row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 along the elongated support structure 122 can be transferred to the elongated support structure 122 and dissipated by the plurality of fins 138. According to various embodiments, at least one fin 138 within the hollow channel 134 can be aligned with a row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 outside the elongated support structure 122.

[0054] For example, as shown in Figures 2A, 2B, 5A, and 5B, according to various embodiments, each of the plurality of fins 138 may be a radial fin, protruding radially inward from the inner surface 132a of the tubular wall structure 132 of the elongated support structure 122 toward the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110. Therefore, each of the plurality of fins 138 may protrude inward along the radius of the hollow channel 134 toward the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110. According to various embodiments, the plurality of fins 138 in the form of radial fins may divide the hollow channel 134 of the elongated support structure 122 into multiple sectors. Therefore, each sector of the hollow channel 134 may be between two adjacent radial fins. Therefore, each sector of the hollow channel 134 may expose two adjacent radial fins to the air column between the two adjacent radial fins for heat transfer, thereby cooling the two adjacent radial fins.

[0055] According to various embodiments, the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 may include an elongated hub element 139. According to various embodiments, the elongated hub element 139 may extend along the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110. Therefore, the elongated hub element 139 may be aligned with the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110. According to various embodiments, the centerline of the elongated hub element 139 may coincide with the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110, such that the central axis 118 may also be the longitudinal axis of the elongated hub element 139. According to various embodiments, the tubular wall structure 132 of the elongated support structure 122 and the elongated hub element 139 of the elongated support structure 122 may be coaxial, such that the tubular wall structure 132 and the elongated hub element 139 may be concentric with the tubular wall structure 132 surrounding the elongated hub element 139.

[0056] According to various embodiments, the fin end 138a of each of the plurality of fins 138 can be connected to or spaced apart from the elongated hub element 139. Therefore, when the fin end 138a of each of the plurality of fins 138 is connected to the elongated hub element 139, each of the plurality of fins 138 can be interconnected with the elongated hub element 139 and the tubular wall structure 132 of the elongated support structure 122. Therefore, each of the plurality of fins 138 can extend between the elongated hub element 139 and the tubular wall structure 132 of the elongated support structure 122. On the other hand, when the fin end 138a of each of the plurality of fins 138 is spaced apart from the elongated hub element 139, each of the plurality of fins 138 may not be connected to, engaged with, or in contact with the elongated hub element 139. Therefore, the fin end 138a of each of the plurality of fins 138 may be free.

[0057] According to various embodiments, as shown in Figures 2A, 2B, 5A, and 5B, when the plurality of fins 138 are radial fins, each fin 138 (in the form of radial fins) can extend radially between the elongated hub element 139 and the inner surface 132a of the tubular wall structure 132 of the elongated support structure 122. Therefore, the fin end 138a of each fin 138 can be engaged with the elongated hub element 139, and the fin base 138b of the fin 138 can be engaged with the inner surface of the tubular wall structure 132. Thus, each of the plurality of fins 138 can interconnect the elongated hub element 139 and the tubular wall structure 132 of the elongated support structure 122. According to various embodiments, the elongated hub element 139 can be used as a hub, and the plurality of fins 138 (in the form of radial fins) can extend radially outward from the elongated hub element 139.

[0058] According to various embodiments, the elongated hub element 139 of the elongated support structure 122 can have any suitable elongated shape. According to various embodiments, the elongated hub element 139 of the elongated support structure 122 may include a cylindrical rod or a cylindrical tube.

[0059] FIG3A is a cross-sectional view of the top of the lamp 100 of FIG1A and FIG1B according to various embodiments. FIG3B is an exploded view of the top of the lamp 100 of FIG1A and FIG1B according to various embodiments.

[0060] According to various embodiments, the hollow lampshade 140 may include a crown 148. The crown 148 may be the top, highest part, or head of the hollow lampshade 140. Therefore, the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 may extend through the top of the hollow lampshade 140. According to various embodiments, the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 may abut against the distal end 122b of the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110. Therefore, the hollow lampshade 140 may be mounted above the light-emitting module 110 such that the lower side of the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 may abut against the distal end 122b of the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110.

[0061] According to various embodiments, the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 can be coupled to the distal end 122b of the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110. According to various embodiments, the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 can be coupled to the distal end 122b of the elongated support structure 122 via fastening elements, including but not limited to screw fasteners, snap-fit fasteners, rivet fasteners, latches / locks, retaining pins / clamps, adhesives, attraction elements, magnetic elements, or friction fasteners. As shown in FIG3A and FIG3B as an example embodiment, according to various embodiments, the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 can be coupled to the distal end 122b of the elongated support structure 122 via screws 160. According to various embodiments, the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 may include a through hole 149 through which a screw 160 may pass to be screwed into the end 139a of the elongated hub element 139 of the elongated support structure 122. Therefore, the elongated hub element 139 of the elongated support structure 122 may include a threaded hole into which the screw 160 may be screwed to couple the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 to the elongated support structure 122. The through hole 149 of the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 may be aligned with the elongated hub element 139 of the elongated support structure 122 along the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110 to couple the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 to the elongated support structure 122.

[0062] According to various embodiments, the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 may be opposite to the bottom opening 142 of the hollow lampshade 140. Therefore, the crown 148 and the bottom opening 142 may be on opposite sides of the hollow lampshade 140. Therefore, the light-emitting module 110 may be inserted into the hollow lampshade 140, such that the distal end 122b of the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 abuts against the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 and the base substrate 112 of the light-emitting module 110 located at the bottom opening 142 of the hollow lampshade 140. As shown in FIG3A and FIG3B as an example embodiment, when the hollow lampshade 140 is cylindrical, the crown 148 and the bottom opening 142 may be located at two opposite circular ends of the cylindrical hollow lampshade 140 along the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical hollow lampshade 140. Therefore, relative to the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical hollow lampshade 140, the crown 148 can be located at the top of the cylindrical hollow lampshade 140, while the bottom opening 142 can be located at the bottom of the cylindrical hollow lampshade 140.

[0063] According to various embodiments, the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 may include at least one vent 147. According to various embodiments, when the hollow lampshade 140 is assembled to the light-emitting module 110, the at least one vent 147 may be in fluid communication with the hollow channel 134 of the elongated support structure 122. Therefore, since at least one row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 generates heat along the elongated support structure 12 of the light-emitting module 110, the at least one vent 147 can drive heat-dissipating air from the hollow channel 134. Therefore, the at least one vent 147 allows heated air to be discharged from the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 to the outside of the hollow lampshade 140. As illustrated in Figures 3A and 3B as an example embodiment, when the hollow channel 134 of the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 is divided by a plurality of fins 138 (or a plurality of radial fins), each sector of the hollow channel 134 separated by the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 may include at least one vent 147. Therefore, at least one vent 147 may be provided at the position of the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 corresponding to a sector separating the hollow channel 134. Thus, when the hollow channel 134 is divided into eight sectors, the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 may include eight vents 147, with one vent 147 for each sector of the hollow channel 134. According to various embodiments, the vents 147 (e.g., the eight vents in Figures 3A and 3B) may be distributed around the fastening elements (i.e., the through holes 149 for the screws 160).

[0064] According to various embodiments, the outer surface 148a of the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 may include at least one ventilation line 145. According to various embodiments, the outer surface 148a of the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 may be opposite to the lower side of the crown 148 that abuts against the distal end 122b of the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110. According to various embodiments, at least one ventilation line 145 may extend radially from at least one vent hole 147 relative to the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110. According to various embodiments, each vent hole 147 may have at least one ventilation line 145. As shown in Figures 3A and 3B as an example embodiment, when the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 has eight vent holes 147, the outer surface 148a of the crown 148 may have eight ventilation lines 145, each ventilation line 145 radiating radially outward from the corresponding vent hole 147 relative to the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110.

[0065] According to various embodiments, the lamp 100 may include a control unit 170. According to various embodiments, the control unit 170 may be attached or mounted to the outer surface 148a of the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140. Therefore, the control unit 170 may be located at the top of the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140. According to various embodiments, when the control unit 170 is attached or mounted to the outer surface 148a of the crown 148, at least one ventilation line 145 at the outer surface 148a of the crown 148 may extend below the control unit 170 to the area of the outer surface 148a of the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140 outside the control unit 170. Therefore, as the control unit 170 covers at least one vent 147 at the outer surface 148a of the crown 148, at least one ventilation line 145 at the outer surface 148a of the crown 148 may guide the exhausted air out of the cover of the control unit 170 to disperse it into the external environment. Therefore, at least one ventilation line 145 can be used to guide airflow from at least one vent 147 along the lower part of the control unit 170 to the outside of the control unit 170. According to various embodiments, the at least one ventilation line 145 may include, but is not limited to, a channel, conduit, guide groove, recess, tube, or slot. As shown in FIG3A and FIG3B as an example embodiment, the at least one ventilation line 145 may be a recess, slot, or guide groove recessed into the outer surface 148a of the crown 148 of the hollow lampshade 140.

[0066] According to various embodiments, the control unit 170 may include an interface panel 172 and a control circuit board 174 attached to the interface panel 172. Therefore, the control unit 170 may be a component of the interface panel 172 and the control circuit board 174. According to various embodiments, the interface panel 172 may be configured to receive user input. According to various embodiments, the control circuit board 174 may generate control signals based on user input received on the interface panel 172. According to various embodiments, the interface panel 172 may include, but is not limited to, a touch panel, a touch pad, a touch screen, a touch slider, a button panel, or a keypad. As shown in FIG3A and FIG3B as an example embodiment, the interface panel 172 may be a touch panel. Furthermore, the control circuit board 174 may be a printed circuit board.

[0067] FIG4A is a cross-sectional view of the lamp 100 with the hollow lampshade 140 removed according to various embodiments. FIG4B is a base unit 180 of the lamp 100 according to various embodiments. FIG4C is a bottom surface of the base unit 180 of the lamp 100 according to various embodiments.

[0081] As shown in FIG2A as an exemplary embodiment, according to various embodiments, a plurality of white light-emitting elements 116 disposed on the light-emitting element mounting surface 114 of the base substrate 112 may include a first group of white light-emitting elements 116a having a first color temperature range and a second group of white light-emitting elements 116b having a second color temperature range. According to various embodiments, the first color temperature range may be different from the second color temperature range. For example, according to various embodiments, each of the first color temperature range and the second color temperature range may be warm white light or cool white light. Warm white light may refer to white light with a correlated color temperature (CCT) of 1000 gEwen to 4000 gEwen, while cool white light may refer to white light with a correlated color temperature (CCT) of 4000 gEwen to 7000 gEwen. According to various embodiments, a wider range of colors can be achieved by mixing and / or combining white light of different color temperatures from the plurality of white light-emitting elements 116 with red-green-blue light from at least one row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126.

[0082] As shown in FIG2A as an exemplary embodiment, according to various embodiments, a first group of white light-emitting elements 116a can be disposed on the light-emitting element mounting surface 114 of the base substrate 112 to form a first ring of white light-emitting elements 116, and a second group of white light-emitting elements 116b can be disposed on the light-emitting element mounting surface 114 of the base substrate 112 to form a second ring of white light-emitting elements 116. According to various embodiments, the first ring and the second ring of white light-emitting elements 116 can be disposed concentrically. According to various embodiments, the concentric rings of white light-emitting elements 116 can form a circular arrangement of white light-emitting elements 116 on the light-emitting element mounting surface 114 of the base substrate 112. According to other embodiments (not shown), a plurality of white light-emitting elements 116 can be disposed in a single ring, thereby the first group of white light-emitting elements 116 and the second group of white light-emitting elements 116b can be disposed alternately.

[0083] Figure 7 illustrates variations in the arrangement of white light-emitting elements 116 on the light-emitting element mounting surface 114 of the base substrate 112 according to various embodiments. According to various embodiments, a plurality of white light-emitting elements 116 can be arranged in a single ring on the light-emitting element mounting surface 114 of the base substrate 112, thereby arranging a first group of white light-emitting elements 116a having a first color temperature range and a second group of white light-emitting elements 116b having a second color temperature range alternately along the single ring.

[0084] As shown in FIG2A as an exemplary embodiment, according to various embodiments, the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 may have a uniform cross-section along its length. Therefore, the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 may have a uniform diameter or width along its entire length.

[0085] According to the example embodiments, the base substrate 112 of the light-emitting module 110 may be a circuit board or a printed circuit board. Furthermore, a plurality of white light-emitting elements 116 may be mounted on the circuit board or printed circuit board.

[0086] FIG. 5A is a top view of the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 according to various embodiments. FIG. 5B is a top view of the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 having at least one row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 separated from the elongated support structure 122 according to various embodiments. As shown in FIG. 5A and FIG. 5B as exemplary embodiments, the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 may have a circular or octagonal cross-section according to various embodiments. According to various embodiments, the light-emitting module 110 may include eight rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126. According to various embodiments, the eight rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 may be spaced apart from each other at a 45° angle relative to the central axis 118 of the light-emitting module 110. According to various embodiments, the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 may have eight fins 138 (e.g., eight radial fins) within the hollow channel 134 of the elongated support structure 122. According to various embodiments, each fin 138 may be aligned with each row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126. Therefore, each fin 138 may extend from a portion of the inner surface 132a of the elongated support structure 122 corresponding to a portion of the elongated support structure 122, and a corresponding row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 may be attached to that portion. According to various embodiments, each row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 may be a single strip of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126.

[0087] Figure 6A illustrates, according to various embodiments, how the light-emitting module 110 illuminates the lamp 100 to display vertical areas 102 of multiple colors. Figure 6B illustrates, according to various embodiments, how the light-emitting module 110 illuminates the lamp 100 to display horizontal areas 104 of multiple colors. According to various embodiments, each row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 can illuminate the corresponding vertical area 102 of the hollow lampshade 140 of the lamp 100. Therefore, the hollow lampshade 140 of the lamp 100 can be lit to display a corresponding number of vertical areas 102 depending on the number of rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 disposed on the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 100. For example, when the light-emitting module 100 has eight rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 as shown in Figure 5A, the hollow lampshade 140 of the lamp 100 can be illuminated to display eight vertical areas 102 of different colors. Therefore, red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 along the same horizontal plane of all rows of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 can illuminate the corresponding horizontal area 104 around the hollow lampshade 140 of the lamp 100. For example, when each row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126 has ten red-green-blue light-emitting elements (as shown in Figures 2A and 2B), the hollow lampshade 140 of the lamp 100 can be illuminated to display ten different colored horizontal areas 102.

[0088] According to various embodiments, due to the arrangement of the hollow lampshade 140 around the elongated support structure 122 of the light-emitting module 110 lined with at least one row of red-green-blue light-emitting elements 126, the lamp 100 can control vertical and / or horizontal red-green-blue light strip (segmented) illumination along the longitudinal direction (or height) of the hollow lampshade 140. Therefore, this configuration can bring more visual lighting modes, spectra, animations, rhythms (including diurnal rhythms), and / or user effects.

[0089] Various embodiments have provided a lamp that can more effectively and universally display more options for visual lighting patterns, spectra, animations, rhythms (including diurnal rhythms), and / or effects to accommodate the user's extended use of the lamp. In particular, various embodiments have the advantage of making full use of the height and perimeter of the lampshade to display different areas of the lampshade, which can be individually controlled to display different colors of light. Therefore, partitioning the lampshade into different display areas provides a unique way to provide the user with more choices for visual lighting patterns, spectra, animations, rhythms (including diurnal rhythms), and / or effects.
