Abstract
Claims
1. A Bacillus amyloliquefaciens BYB39, deposited at the Food Industry Development Institute, under registration number BCRC 911261.
2. A composition for inhibiting or killing animal pathogens, comprising Bacillus amyloliquefaciens BYB39 as described in claim 1.
3. The composition for inhibiting or killing animal pathogens as described in claim 2, wherein the animal pathogens are Salmonella spp., Escherichia coli, Bacillus cereus, Brachyspira hyodysenteriae, Listeria monocytogenes, or combinations thereof.
4. A composition for enhancing animal growth performance, comprising Bacillus liquefactionus BYB39 as described in claim 1.
5. The composition for enhancing animal growth performance as described in claim 4, wherein the composition has either the effect of enhancing animal growth performance or enhancing animal immune function.
6. The composition for enhancing animal growth performance as described in claim 5, wherein the enhancement of immune function comprises increasing the concentration of immunoglobulin A (IgA) in the animal serum.
7. The composition for improving animal growth performance as described in claim 6, wherein the animal includes pigs in the nursery or fattening stage.
8. The composition for improving animal growth performance as described in claim 4, wherein the composition further has the effect of improving animal gut health.
9. The composition for improving animal growth performance as described in claim 8, wherein the improvement in gut health is achieved by reducing nitrogen-related metabolites in animal excrement.
10. The composition for enhancing animal growth performance as described in claim 9, wherein the nitrogen-related metabolites include ammonia or amine gases.
