Abstract

A method for controlling a display device includes: generating a current frame and a target frame; writing the current frame and the target frame into a first frame buffer memory and a second frame buffer memory according to a movement direction corresponding to content to be displayed; extracting a specific portion of the current frame and a specific portion of the target frame from the first frame buffer memory and the second frame buffer memory according to a first offset to generate a first transition frame; and transmitting the first transition frame to the display device.

Claims

1. A method for controlling a display device, comprising: generating a current frame and a target frame; writing the current frame and the target frame into a first frame buffer memory and a second frame buffer memory according to a movement direction corresponding to content to be displayed; extracting a specific portion of the current frame and a specific portion of the target frame from the first frame buffer memory and the second frame buffer memory according to a first offset to generate a first transition frame; and transmitting the first transition frame to the display device.

2. The method as described in claim 1, wherein the step of writing the current frame and the target frame into the first frame buffer memory and the second frame buffer memory comprises: when the movement direction corresponds to left to right or top to bottom, writing the target frame into the first frame buffer memory and writing the current frame into the second frame buffer memory; and when the movement direction corresponds to right to left or bottom to top, writing the target frame into the second frame buffer memory and writing the current frame into the first frame buffer memory.

3. The method as described in claim 1, wherein the step of generating the first transition frame based on the first offset comprises: when the first offset is k, extracting (Wk) consecutive rows of pixel data from the (k+1)th row of each column of the target frame or the current frame in the first frame buffer memory as the left half of the first transition frame, wherein, W represents the number of pixels in the horizontal direction of the first transition frame; And when the first offset is k, starting from the first row of each column of the target frame or the current frame in the second frame buffer memory, extract k consecutive rows of pixel data as the right half of the first transition frame.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the step of generating the first transition frame based on the first offset comprises: when the first offset is j, extracting (Hj) consecutive columns of pixel data starting from the (j+1)th column of the target frame or the current frame in the first frame buffer memory as the upper half of the first transition frame, where H is the number of pixels in the first transition frame in the vertical direction; and when the first offset is j, extracting j consecutive columns of pixel data starting from the first column of the target frame or the current frame in the second frame buffer memory as the lower half of the first transition frame.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising: generating a second offset for generating a second transition frame based on the direction of movement.

6. The method of claim 5, further comprising: generating the second offset after generating pixel data for a specific number of columns of the first transition frame.

7. The method as described in request item 5, wherein: When the direction of movement corresponds to left to right or top to bottom, the second offset is less than the first offset; and when the direction of movement corresponds to right to left or bottom to top, the second offset is greater than the first offset.

8. A transition frame generation circuit, comprising: a data acquisition module, configured to acquire pixel data of a current frame and a target frame from a first frame buffer memory and a second frame buffer memory, wherein, The data acquisition module captures a specific portion of the current frame and a specific portion of the target frame according to a first offset, and the first offset corresponds to a movement direction corresponding to the content to be displayed; and a frame generation module is used to generate a first transition frame based on the specific portion captured from the current frame and the specific portion captured from the target frame.

9. The transition frame generation circuit as described in claim 8, wherein when the first offset is k, the data acquisition module acquires (Wk) consecutive rows of pixel data starting from the (k+1)th row of each column of the target frame or the current frame in the first frame buffer memory, and the frame generation module uses this as the left half of the first transition frame; the data acquisition module acquires k consecutive rows of pixel data starting from the 1st row of each column of the target frame or the current frame in the second frame buffer memory, and the frame generation module uses this as the right half of the first transition frame; wherein, W represents the number of pixels in the horizontal direction of the first transition frame.

10. The transition frame generation circuit as claimed in claim 8, wherein when the first offset is j, the data acquisition module acquires (Hj) consecutive columns of pixel data starting from the (j+1)th column of the target frame or the current frame in the first frame buffer memory, and the frame generation module uses this as the upper half of the first transition frame; the data acquisition module acquires j consecutive columns of pixel data starting from the 1st column of the target frame or the current frame in the second frame buffer memory, and the frame generation module uses this as the lower half of the first transition frame; wherein, H represents the number of pixels in the vertical direction of the first transition frame.
