Description

Technical Field

[0001] This disclosure relates to a grounding component with conductivity. More specifically, this disclosure relates to a grounding component that can be configured between a motor and a plug to form a grounding circuit. Prior Technology

[0002] A motor is known to be fixed by a connector that can be coupled to a plug connected to a conductor cable via a component such as an insulating housing (e.g., Patent Document 1).

[0003] [Previous Technical Documents] [Patent Literature] [Patent Document 1] Japanese Patent No. 6591125 Summary of the Invention

[0004] [The problem the invention aims to solve] For example, a conventional motor described in Patent Document 1, etc., includes: a housing (first housing) composed of a "conductor" covering the motor body; and a housing (second housing) composed of an "insulator" covering an encoder or the like that that detects the rotation of the motor. The second housing has a connector for connecting to the encoder. The connector can be coupled to a plug for connecting to the outside of the motor. The motor is configured to be electrically connected to the outside of the motor via a conductive cable connected to such a plug. In the conventional motor described in Patent Document 1, a plate-shaped metal fitting serving as a "grounding member" is disposed between a second housing made of an "insulator" and a connector made of a "conductor" disposed in the second housing. More specifically, the plate-shaped metal fitting is sandwiched between the second housing made of an "insulator" and the connector made of a "conductor," and these are locked together with screws (see, for example, Figure 3 of Patent Document 1). On the other hand, such a plate-shaped metal fitting is bent so that it is also disposed between the second housing made of an "insulator" and the first housing made of a "conductor," configured to also contact the first housing and conduct electricity (see, for example, Figure 4 of Patent Document 1). In conventional motors, by means of such a plate-shaped metal fitting, an electrical connection such as a grounding circuit (GND circuit) is formed between the first housing made of a "conductor" and the connector also made of a "conductor."

[0005] The inventors of this case discovered problems with grounding components used to form electrical connections such as grounding circuits in conventional motors, and found it necessary to take corresponding measures. Specifically, the inventors of this case discovered the following problems.

[0006] Traditional grounding metal fittings may have difficulty maintaining the grounding circuit under harsh temperature conditions, such as prolonged use of motors. For example, the expansion of motor components, more specifically, the expansion of components such as the second housing made of "insulator" and connectors, and either or both of these expansion and subsequent contraction, can loosen the screws that hold the grounding metal fitting together, making it difficult to maintain the grounding circuit. As an example, in severe temperature environments where the temperature is above 100°C for a fixed period of time, or more specifically, in severe temperature environments where the temperature is above 105°C for 10 consecutive days, the grounding circuit may be difficult to maintain. Alternatively, as an example, during a temperature cycling test (25 hours) in the range of -55°C to -85°C, the grounding circuit may be difficult to maintain. For example, due to expansion inside the high-temperature testing chamber or contraction during the process of returning to room temperature after being removed from the high-temperature testing chamber, the grounding circuit may be difficult to maintain. Furthermore, in conventional grounding metal fittings, there are problems with the connector, which is made of "conductor," and the second housing, which is made of "insulator," being sandwiched between a plate-shaped grounding metal fitting and secured with screws. In such a structure, when the plug is installed or removed for maintenance, there is a risk that the connector or the second housing, as well as the grounding metal fitting disposed between them, may be damaged, thus compromising the grounding circuit.

[0007] This disclosure was made in view of the following problem. That is, the main purpose of this disclosure is to provide a grounding component and a grounding circuit with higher durability.

[0008] [Methods used to solve problems] The inventors in this case did not attempt to extend prior art, but rather tried to solve the aforementioned problems from a new perspective. As a result, they completed the invention of a grounding component that achieves the aforementioned main objectives.

[0009] For example, as shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2, a portion of the shape of the grounding component is made into a shape that does not contact the connector (hereinafter referred to as "contact avoidance shape") to avoid direct or physical contact between the grounding component and the connector, in order to explore ways to improve the durability of the grounding component. Next, we will explore how to form an electrical connection, such as a grounding circuit, between the plug and the conductive motor housing by having the grounding component make direct or physical contact with the conductive plug, instead of contacting the connector as in the past.

[0010] Through diligent research, it was discovered that a structure like this can maintain the grounding circuit even in harsh temperature environments.

[0011] This disclosure provides a grounding member with conductivity. The grounding member has at least: a first surface configured to face a first motor housing with conductivity; a second surface configured to face a second motor housing, the second motor housing being disposed facing the first motor housing and having insulation; and a third surface configured to face a plug with conductivity, wherein the first and third surfaces are in face-to-face relationship with the second surface in the grounding member, the first and third surfaces are connected to each other for electrical connection between the first motor housing and the plug, the second motor housing has a connector that can be coupled to the plug, and at least a portion of the third surface in the second motor housing has a contact avoidance shape. Hereinafter, the above-mentioned grounding component will be referred to as "the grounding component disclosed herein" or simply "grounding component".

[0012] [Invention Effects] This disclosure provides a grounding component that can form an electrical connection such as a grounding circuit with higher durability. In particular, it enables the formation of a grounding circuit with higher durability between the plug and the conductive motor case. Furthermore, the effects described in this specification are merely illustrative and not limiting; additional effects may also be possible. Simple Explanation of the Diagram

[0014] This disclosure relates to a grounding component with conductivity. As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the grounding component (10) of this disclosure is preferably made of a plate-like or sheet-like material. The grounding component of this disclosure has at least, for example, a "first surface" (the surface indicated by symbol 11 in Figure 2), a "second surface" (the surface indicated by symbol 12 in Figure 2), and a "third surface" (the surface indicated by symbol 13 in Figure 2), as shown in Figure 2. The first surface (11) is a surface that can be configured to face the first motor housing 1 which is conductive. The second surface (12) is a surface that can be configured to face the second motor housing 2, which is positioned facing the first motor housing 1 and has insulation properties. The third side (13) is a side that can be configured to face the conductive plug 3 (refer to Figure 1 (A)). The first and third sides, and the second side, have a face-back relationship in the grounding component disclosed herein (see Figure 2). For the electrical connection between the first motor housing 1 and the plug 3, the first surface (11) and the third surface (13) are connected to each other (see Figure 2). The second motor housing 2 has a connector 4 that can be coupled to the plug 3. In the second motor housing 2, the grounding member disclosed herein has a "contact avoidance shape" such as a shape that does not contact the connector 4, for example, a shape that is roughly U-shaped when viewed from above, so as to be positioned around the connector 4 (refer to Figure 1 (A) and Figure 2). Furthermore, the shape of the grounding member is not particularly limited, and in addition to a roughly U-shaped shape, it can also be, for example, a roughly rectangular (frame-shaped), roughly C-shaped, roughly circular, polygonal, etc.

[0015] The grounding component disclosed herein has the structure described above, providing an electrical connection between a first motor housing 1 (refer to Figure 4), which is "conductive" as detailed below, and a plug 3 (refer to Figure 7), which is also "conductive" as detailed below. More specifically, an electrical connection such as a grounding circuit can be formed between the first motor housing 1 and the plug 3 via the "grounding component" disposed in a second motor housing 2, which is "insulated" as detailed below. The electrical connection formed by the grounding component disclosed herein has higher durability. In particular, it can provide an electrical connection with higher durability under harsh temperature conditions.

[0016] Furthermore, the grounding components disclosed herein should not be interpreted solely based on the illustrated forms.

[0017] The following is a brief explanation of the terminology used in this disclosure and the main components of the motor, followed by a detailed explanation of the grounding components disclosed herein.

[0018] "Electrical conductivity" can also be called electrical conductivity, which usually refers to the property of being able to conduct electricity. When the term "electrical conductivity" is used in conjunction with "insulation" below, the property that relatively easily transmits electrical energy can also be called "electrical conductivity".

[0019] "Insulation" can also be called electrical insulation, which usually refers to the property of not being able to conduct electricity. When the term "insulation" is used in conjunction with "conductivity" below, the property that is relatively difficult to transmit electricity can also be called "insulation".

[0020] "Electrical connection" usually refers to electrical contact or electrical conduction.

[0021] "Ground" (GND) refers to a potential point with a voltage reference (e.g., 0V). Therefore, a grounding circuit is a circuit or path that can set a potential point with a voltage reference (e.g., 0V).

[0022] "Severe temperature environment" refers to environments where the motor operates continuously or intermittently for extended periods, as detailed below, or environments where the temperature of the motor or its surroundings rises due to additional temperatures generated during manufacturing processes. Severe temperature environments include, for example, temperatures above room temperature; for instance, this refers to environments where the motor is exposed to temperatures around 200°C from 140°C during manufacturing processes. Another example is a temperature environment above 100°C for a sustained period of time; more specifically, it refers to an environment at 105°C for 10 consecutive days. Alternatively, severe temperature environments may also include environments undergoing temperature cycling tests (25 hours) within the range of -55°C to -85°C. In this disclosure, electrical connections, particularly grounding circuits, can be maintained in such "harsh temperature environments".

[0023] (motor) A motor, also known as an electric motor, is a prime mover that can mechanically or mechanically convert electrical energy. Motors include DC motors and AC motors. There are no particular restrictions on the type of motor; commercially available motors can be used.

[0024] A motor typically includes a motor body, a first housing covering the motor body (hereinafter referred to as "first motor housing"), and a second housing that can be disposed facing the first motor housing (hereinafter referred to as "second motor housing").

[0025] The "motor body" basically includes a rotor and a stationary rotor. The motor body may also be equipped with a rotating shaft for transmitting rotation to the outside. The rotating shaft may also be equipped with bearings. Such bearings may also be installed in the first motor housing.

[0026] The "first motor housing," as detailed below, is a component that can be disposed opposite to the "second motor housing." The first motor housing is typically "conductive." The first motor housing may also contain metals and / or alloys. From the viewpoint of strength and / or heat dissipation, it is preferable that the first motor housing be constructed of a conductor such as die-cast material containing metals and / or alloys.

[0027] For example, Figure 4 shows an embodiment of the first motor housing that can be used in this disclosure. The first motor housing 1 shown in Figure 4 may also have an encoder portion 1b in the base portion 1a' of the housing body 1a (Figure 4(A)).

[0028] Here, Figure 4(A) shows one side of the first motor housing 1. Figure 4(B) shows the first motor housing 1 as viewed from the encoder section 1b side. Figure 4(C) shows the first motor housing 1 as viewed from the opposite side of the encoder section 1b (rotation shaft, etc., not shown). Figure 4(D) shows another side of the first motor housing 1. Figure 4(E) shows the first motor housing 1 as viewed from the top (the side where the connector 4 is mounted on the second motor housing 2). Figure 4(F) shows the first motor housing 1 as viewed from the bottom (the side opposite to the top). The first motor housing 1 is not limited to the shape shown in the figures.

[0029] The encoder section 1b may also be equipped with a detector, for example, to detect the rotation of the motor, specifically the rotation of the rotor and / or the rotating shaft. The detector may include a photodetector utilizing a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element, or a magnetic detector utilizing magnetic force. The encoder section 1b may also be equipped with a communication device for communicating with external machines. Furthermore, power can be supplied to the motor body via the encoder section 1b.

[0030] The shape of the shell body 1a is not particularly limited, but it is preferably cylindrical. The cross-sectional shape of the shell body 1a can be approximately rectangular or approximately circular. The shape of the pedestal 1a' is not particularly limited, but it is preferably disc-shaped or ring-shaped. The shape of the encoder section 1b is not particularly limited, but it is preferably disc-shaped. As shown in the figure, the encoder section 1b can also be fixed to the base section 1a' of the housing body 1a with screws (see Figure 4(B)).

[0031] The "second motor housing 2" is a component that can face the first motor housing, specifically, it is a component that can face the housing body 1a, the base part 1a' and / or the encoder part 1b shown in Figure 4. The second motor housing is, for example, equipped with a connector 4 that can be connected to a plug 3 connected to a conductive cable 5, and therefore has "insulation" (refer to Figure 1 (A)).

[0032] The second motor housing may be made of materials such as plastic, or insulating plastic with appropriate strength and heat resistance.

[0033] For example, Figure 5 shows an embodiment of the second motor housing 2 that can be used in this disclosure. The second motor housing 2 shown in Figure 5 faces the first motor housing 1 and preferably has a shape that covers the encoder portion 1b of the first motor housing 1. More specifically, it has a generally circular portion that covers the encoder portion 1b of the first motor housing 1 and a generally rectangular portion that faces and contacts the body portion 1a of the first motor housing 1. Furthermore, the second motor housing 2 may also include, for example, a platform 21 for mounting the connector 4, as shown in Figure 6. The platform 21 may also have a portion of the connector 4, specifically an opening 22 for inserting a portion of the bottom.

[0034] Here, Figure 5(A) shows the second motor housing 2 as viewed from the outside (the side not facing the first motor housing). Figure 5(B) shows the second motor housing 2 as viewed from the top (the side where the connector 4 is mounted). Figure 5(C) shows the second motor housing 2 as viewed from the side facing the encoder section 1b of the first motor housing 1. Figure 5(D) shows one side of the second motor housing 2. Figure 5(E) shows the other side of the second motor housing 2. Figure 5(F) shows the second motor housing 2 as viewed from the bottom (the side opposite to the top). The second motor housing 2 is not limited to the illustrated configuration.

[0035] The second motor housing 2 can be configured facing the first motor housing 1 and can be coupled to each other. There are no particular restrictions on the method of coupling the second motor housing 2 to the first motor housing 1, such as any locking mechanism, screws or other fixing means, and mating and / or engaging couplings.

[0036] (Connector) "Connector" refers to a component used to provide an electrical connection to a motor body mounted in a second motor housing, which can be housed in a first motor housing, and / or an encoder portion that can be included in the first motor housing 1. There are no particular limitations on the type of connector used; commercially available connectors can be used. For example, Figure 6 shows an embodiment of a connector that can be used in this disclosure.

[0037] Figure 6(A) shows connector 4 from the top (the side where it is joined to plug 3). Figure 6(B) shows connector 4 from the bottom (the side where it is joined to the second motor housing 2). Figure 6(C) shows connector 4 from the side not facing the first motor housing 1. Figure 6(D) shows connector 4 from the side facing the first motor housing 1. Figure 6(E) shows one side of connector 4. Figure 6(F) shows the other side of connector 4. Connector 4 is not limited to the shape shown in the figures.

[0038] The connector 4 may also extend downward from a portion of its main body (hereinafter referred to as the "extension"). The extension of the connector 4 is, for example, an opening 22 provided in the platform 21 into which the second motor housing 2 can be inserted (refer to Figures 1(A) and 5). With this structure, the connector 4 can be placed on the platform 21 of the second motor housing 2. It is preferable that the connector 4 and the second motor housing 2 are joined and fixed together. There are no particular limitations on the method of fixing the connector 4 to the second motor housing 2, including, for example, any locking mechanism, screws, and other fixing means, as well as fitting and / or engaging fixing.

[0039] The body of connector 4 can be conductive or insulating. The body of connector 4 can also be made of materials such as metal, alloy, or plastic.

[0040] Connector 4 can be coupled to plug 3, for example, as shown in Figure 7. This allows for electrical connection not only to the conductive cable 5 connected to plug 3, but also to external electrical connections. Therefore, it is preferable that connector 4 has a shape complementary to plug 3. Furthermore, although plug 3 is described in detail below, it can also be constructed from plug cover 3a, plug body 3b, and contact point 3c.

[0041] For example, as shown in Figure 6, connector 4 may also include more than one contact point 7. Contact point 7 can engage and / or mesh with one or more contact points 3c of plug 3 (refer to Figure 7(B)) for electrical connection. Therefore, it is preferable that the contact points 7 of connector 4 and the contact points 3c of plug 3 have complementary shapes. In the illustrated configuration, the contact point 7 of connector 4 is male and the contact point 3c of plug 3 is female, but it is also possible that the contact point 7 of connector 4 is female and the contact point 3c of plug 3 is male.

[0042] The contact point 7, which can be located on the connector 4, can penetrate through the body portion of the connector 4 and extend to the side of the second motor housing 2 facing the connector 4. The contact point 7 can also be electrically connected to the motor body that can be housed inside the first motor housing 1 and / or the encoder portion 1b that can be included in the first motor housing 1. Such connection can be direct or indirect.

[0043] (plug) A "plug" is a component that can electrically connect to a conductive cable, and can supply power to the motor body and / or encoder unit by combining with the aforementioned connector. There are no particular restrictions on what a plug can be; commercially available plugs can be used.

[0044] For example, Figure 7 shows one embodiment of the plug disclosed herein. The plug 3 may also include, for example, a plug cover 3a, a plug body 3b disposed on the plug cover 3a, and one or more contact points 3c disposed on the plug body 3b. However, the structure of the plug 3 is not limited to such a structure.

[0045] The plug 3 can be electrically connected to the conductive cable 5. Specifically, electrical conduction can be formed by electrically connecting one or more wires, which can be included in the conductive cable 5, to the contact point 3c. The shape of the contact point 3c is not particularly limited, as long as it can be electrically connected to the contact point 7, which can be configured in the connector 4.

[0046] Figure 7(A) shows the plug 3 as viewed from above. Figure 7(B) shows the plug 3 as viewed from below (the opposite side of the top, the side that engages with connector 4). Figure 7(C) shows the plug 3 as viewed from the side not facing the first motor housing 1. Figure 7(D) shows the plug 3 as viewed from the side facing the first motor housing 1. Figure 7(E) shows one side of the plug 3. Figure 7(F) shows the other side of the plug 3. The plug 3 is not limited to the shape shown in the figures.

[0047] There are no particular restrictions on the method of connecting the plug 3 and the connector 4, for example, any locking mechanism and engagement and / or meshing.

[0048] The plug 3 can also be fixed to the second motor housing 2, which is connected to the connector 4. There are no particular restrictions on the method of fixing the plug 3 to the second motor housing 2. For example, the plug 3 can be fixed to the second motor housing 2 by means of screws or other fixing means as shown in the figure (refer to the first figure). Alternatively, without using screws or other fixing means, the plug 3 can be fixed to the second motor housing 2 by any locking mechanism, engagement and / or meshing.

[0049] When the plug 3 is fixed to the second motor housing 2, the second motor housing 2 is "insulating," so the plug 3 can be either conductive or insulating. The plug 3 is usually conductive. For example, it is preferable that the plug cover 3a is conductive. In this case, it is preferable that the plug body 3b, which can accommodate more than one contact point 3c, is insulating.

[0050] When the plug cover 3a is conductive, it may also contain, for example, metal and / or alloy. From a strength point of view, the plug cover 3a may be made of a conductor such as a die-cast material containing metal and / or alloy. Alternatively, the plug cover 3a may be formed of an insulating material such as plastic, more specifically of a plastic material with appropriate strength and heat resistance, and may also be conductive by coating or plating its surface with a conductor such as metal and / or alloy. In this case, although the plug cover 3a may expand and / or contract due to heat, the grounding between the plug cover 3a and the first motor housing 1 can be properly maintained by using the grounding member disclosed herein.

[0051] When the plug cover 3a is conductive, it is preferable that the plug body 3b is made of an insulating material, such as a plastic material with appropriate strength and heat resistance. Alternatively, when the plug cover 3a is insulating, the plug body 3b may also be conductive. Therefore, in this disclosure, "conductive plug" refers to a plug in which either the plug cover 3a or the plug body 3b is conductive.

[0052] There are no special restrictions on the contact points; commercially available contact points can be used.

[0053] At the connection point between the plug 3 and the conductive cable 5, a cover may be provided to prevent moisture or dust from entering, specifically a cover with a basal body shape as shown in the figure. Alternatively, a gasket, such as a rubber gasket and / or a liquid gasket, may be provided to prevent moisture or dust from entering the contact area between the plug 3 and the second motor housing 2, as needed. Such a gasket may be provided on either the plug 3 or the second motor housing 2.

[0054] (Conducting cable) A power cable is a component that can be directly or indirectly connected to an external power supply source, etc. A power cable may also contain more than one wire. These wires include wires for supplying power to the motor body, wires for supplying power to the encoder, and wires for supplying power to communication devices. Furthermore, the power cable may also include a network communication cable for connecting to the communication device. There are no particular limitations on the type of power cable; commercially available cables containing wires can be used.

[0055] (Grounding component) "Grounding components" generally refer to components that are conductive and can provide "electrical connection", especially "grounding circuit".

[0056] [Characteristics of the grounding components disclosed herein] The grounding component disclosed herein, as shown in Figures 1 and 2, comprises at least: a first surface (the surface indicated by symbol 11 in Figure 2) configured to face a conductive first motor housing 1; a second surface (the surface indicated by symbol 12 in Figure 2) configured to face a second motor housing 2, which is disposed facing the first motor housing 1 and is insulating; and a third surface (the surface indicated by symbol 13 in Figure 2) configured to face a conductive plug 3. It may also be constructed from, for example, a plate-like material. The grounding component disclosed herein can be manufactured, for example, by bending a plate-like material containing metals and / or alloys. It is preferable that the grounding component disclosed herein be made of materials such as stainless steel (SUS) or phosphor bronze. Alternatively, because the grounding component disclosed herein can be conductive, insulating materials such as plastics, for example, plastics with appropriate strength and heat resistance, can be used. After forming the desired shape, its surface can also be made conductive by being coated or plated with conductors such as metals and / or alloys.

[0057] In the grounding component disclosed herein, the first surface (11) and the third surface (13) are in face-to-back relationship with the second surface (12).

[0058] In this disclosure, "face-back relationship" refers to the relationship between two opposing main faces of a plate-like member, either of which can be the face or the back. For example, as shown in the second figure, when the first face (11) and the third face (13) are the faces, there is a second face (12) on the back side of the first face (11) and on the back side of the third face (13).

[0059] As can be seen from the diagram, the grounding component disclosed herein is mainly composed of a first surface, a second surface, and a third surface. Furthermore, the grounding component disclosed herein may also include other surfaces besides the first, second, and third surfaces.

[0060] In the grounding component disclosed herein, at least the first surface (11) and the third surface (13) are conductive, and the entire surface of the grounding component may also be conductive.

[0061] The first surface (11) is conductive and can be configured to face the surface of the first motor housing 1, which is also conductive. Therefore, the first surface (11) and the first motor housing 1 can make contact with each other and be electrically connected. The third side (13) is conductive and can be configured to face the same conductive side of the plug 3. Therefore, the third side (13) and the plug 3 can make contact with each other and be electrically connected.

[0062] Since the conductive first surface (11) and the equally conductive third surface (13) are continuous with each other (see Figure 2), an electrical connection can be formed between the equally conductive first motor housing 1 and the equally conductive plug 3, and more specifically, a grounding circuit can be formed (see Figure 1 (B)).

[0063] Since the second surface (12) is a surface that can be configured to face the insulating second motor housing 2, it can be either conductive or insulating.

[0064] As shown in Figure 2, the grounding member disclosed herein can be mounted on the second motor housing 2 via the second surface (12) (refer to Figure 1 (A)). Because the second motor housing 2 has a connector 4 that can be coupled to the plug 3 (refer to Figures 5 to 7), at least a portion of the grounding member disclosed herein has a "contact avoidance shape," specifically, a shape that does not contact the connector 4. In the second motor housing 2, it is preferable that the grounding member disclosed herein is configured, for example, to be positioned around the connector 4 (refer to Figure 2).

[0065] In this disclosure, "contact avoidance shape" refers to at least a portion (and all or part) of the grounding member disclosed herein, specifically a shape in which the third surface does not physically contact the connector. For example, as shown in Figure 2, the grounding member disclosed herein may not physically contact the connector 4 and has a shape that can be positioned around the area used to configure the connector 4, indicated by the dashed line. In other words, the grounding member disclosed herein may also have a shape that is separated from the connector 4 from the above viewpoint and at least partially surrounds the connector 4 (see Figures 2 and 3(A)).

[0066] "Contact avoidance shape" refers to a shape that avoids contact with the connector 4 from the top viewpoint, such as a roughly U-shaped shape. It may also include shapes like the letter "U" with the two ends separated from each other, as well as V-shaped or horseshoe-shaped shapes with the two ends wide open. In addition, it may also include shapes such as roughly rectangular (frame-shaped), roughly C-shaped, roughly circular, polygonal, etc., without two ends (not separated from each other) or with ends that are not wide open. It may also include shapes that avoid contact with the connector 4 from the top viewpoint.

[0067] In the case of "contact avoidance shape", such as when the above view is roughly U-shaped, roughly V-shaped, roughly C-shaped, etc., it is better if there is space between the opposite parts (specifically the two ends). The size of the space (specifically the size of the opposite ends in the direction of separation) is larger than the size of connector 4.

[0068] The shape of the grounding member disclosed herein, particularly the shape viewed from above, is not particularly limited if it is a shape that avoids contact with the connector 4. The grounding member disclosed herein is preferably a contact-avoiding shape, specifically a non-contact connector shape, for example, having a roughly U-shaped shape viewed from above. In particular, as shown in the second figure, it is preferable that the third side (13) has a roughly U-shaped shape viewed from above.

[0069] The shape of the top view of the grounding component disclosed herein is not particularly limited and can be appropriately determined according to the top view shape of the connector used.

[0070] The grounding component disclosed herein, when disposed in the second motor housing 2, has at least a portion of the third side (13) having a "contact avoidance shape", specifically characterized by non-physical contact with the connector. In the past, because a grounding metal fitting was sandwiched between the second motor housing 2 and the connector 4 and locked together with screws (see Figure 3 of Patent Document 1), the connector 4 could be damaged during the installation and removal of the plug 3, thus disrupting the electrical connection between the connector 4 and the grounding metal fitting. However, in the grounding component disclosed herein, the "contact avoidance shape" prevents contact with the connector 4, thus eliminating the possibility of damage as in the past and ensuring a stable electrical connection. Furthermore, this disclosure provides an electrical connection with higher durability, particularly for the grounding circuit. According to the grounding component disclosed herein, connector 4 is press-fitted into a separate component provided in the second motor housing 2. For example, by inserting the lower extension of connector 4 shown in Figure 6 into the opening 22 provided in the platform 21 of the second motor housing 2, connector 4 can be inserted into the second motor housing 2 (see Figure 8). Furthermore, according to the grounding member disclosed herein, a gasket, such as a rubber gasket or a liquid gasket, can be disposed between the grounding member 10 and the connector 4 in the platform 21 of the second motor housing 2 (refer to Figures 2 and 8). Such a gasket configuration can prevent the ingress of moisture or dust, thereby improving the stability of the electrical connection, which is further enhanced. In addition, such a gasket can also be disposed on the bottom surface of the connector 4 (refer to Figure 7(B)).

[0071] The grounding component disclosed herein is, for example, shown in Figure 1 (A) and Figure 2, in which the first surface (11) is configured to face the first motor housing 1, the second surface (12) is configured to face the second motor housing 2, and the third surface (13) is configured to face the plug 3. In this case, the first surface (11) can be sandwiched between the first motor housing 1 and the second motor housing 2, and the third surface (13) can be sandwiched between the second motor housing 2 and the plug 3 (refer to Figure 1 (B) and Figure 8).

[0072] As mentioned above, the first surface (11) and the third surface (13) of the grounding component disclosed herein are both conductive and preferably continuous with each other (see Figure 2). It is preferable that the first surface (11) and the third surface (13) of the grounding component disclosed herein are connected vertically to each other (see Figure 2). The first surface (11) of the grounding member disclosed herein may also be in contact with at least a portion of the conductive first motor housing 1, specifically a portion of the conductive housing body 1a (see Figures 4 and 9). The third surface (13) of the grounding component disclosed herein may also be in contact with the conductive plug 3, specifically the conductive plug cover 3a (see Figure 7).

[0073] The grounding component disclosed herein allows for an electrical connection between the plug 3 and the first motor housing 1, forming a grounding (GND) circuit between them. By electrically connecting the plug 3, which is close to the conductive cable 5, and the conductive first motor housing 1, a more stable grounding circuit can be formed. Furthermore, because the grounding component disclosed herein does not have a physical contact connector 4, the durability of the electrical connection is further improved, particularly the durability of the grounding circuit.

[0074] Because of the grounding components disclosed herein, electrical connections with higher durability can be formed, especially grounding (GND) circuits. Therefore, plug 3 does not need to have an internal shell to provide electromagnetic susceptibility (EMS) and / or electromagnetic interference (EMI) barriers. Furthermore, plug 3 does not require an additional grounding contact point inside. Moreover, no grounding wire is needed. Therefore, by using the grounding component disclosed herein, the plug 3 can be made smaller.

[0075] The following describes in detail a grounding component according to an embodiment of this disclosure. (Implementation Mode) Regarding one embodiment of the grounding member disclosed herein, it is conductive, as shown in Figures 3 to 10, and has at least: a first surface (11) configured to face a first motor housing 1 which is conductive; a second surface (12a, 12b) configured to face a second motor housing 2 which is disposed facing the first motor housing 1 and is insulating; and a third surface (13) configured to face a plug 3 which is conductive (see Figures 3 and 8). The first surface (11) and the third surface (13) are in a face-to-back relationship with the second surface (12a, 12b) (see Figure 2). For the electrical connection between the first motor housing 1 and the plug 3, the first surface (11) and the third surface (13) are continuous with each other (see Figure 3). The second motor housing 2 has a connector 4 that can be connected to the plug 3 (see Figures 5, 6 and 7). In the second motor housing 2, the grounding member 10 has a generally U-shaped shape that does not contact the connector 4 and can be positioned around the connector 4.

[0076] Regarding one embodiment of the grounding member 10 disclosed herein, the first surface (11) may also have a spring-like portion 14 that can abut against the first motor housing 1.

[0077] In this disclosure, "spring-like portion" refers to a portion that has the elasticity to accept external forces and can shift like a spring, i.e., an elastic part.

[0078] The spring-like portion 14 may also extend from the first surface (11). The shape of the spring-like portion 14 is not particularly limited as long as it is elastic. For example, it may have a shape with at least one hill and / or valley, the shape of which has a generally V-shaped or generally U-shaped cross-section (see Figures 3(A) and 3(D)). The number of hills and / or valleys in the spring-like portion 14 is not particularly limited. If the hill rises from the first surface (11) and its top abuts against the first motor housing 1, its height is not particularly limited (see Figures 3(A), 3(D), and 9).

[0079] Even under harsh temperature conditions, the spring-like portion 14 can maintain a more proper contact with the first motor housing 1 due to its elasticity. Therefore, not only can the electrical connection with the first motor housing 1 be maintained more properly, but the durability of the grounding circuit can also be further improved.

[0080] The spring-shaped portion 14, as shown in Figure 3(B), preferably has both a fixed end (T2) and a free end (T1) that are continuous with the first surface (11). It is also preferable that there is at least one hill between the fixed end (T2) and the free end (T1).

[0081] The top of the mountain of the spring-like portion 14 may be located at a position higher than the plane containing the first surface (11). Such spring-like portions 14, especially the mountain, may also be formed by bending and / or shaping.

[0082] Because the spring-shaped portion 14 has both a fixed end (T2) and a free end (T1), its displacement can be adjusted more appropriately. Therefore, the electrical connection with the first motor housing 1 can be maintained more appropriately. Furthermore, the durability of the grounding circuit can be improved.

[0083] For example, as shown in Figure 9(A), after the grounding member 10 is placed on the platform 21 of the second motor 2, as shown in Figure 9(B), by joining the first motor housing 1 and the second motor housing 2 together, the spring-shaped portion 14 can abut against the body 1a of the first motor housing 1. At this time, the mountain-shaped portion 14 abuts against the housing body 1a, and at least a portion of the first surface of the grounding member 10 can also abut against the housing body 1a (refer to Figure 9(B)). Furthermore, a recess or groove can be provided where the housing body 1a abuts against the spring-shaped portion 14 to more appropriately bring the mountain-shaped portion 14 into contact with the housing body 1a.

[0084] The first surface (11) of the grounding member 10, as shown in Figure 3 (B), may also have at least one engaging portion 16, specifically a first engaging portion 16a and a second engaging portion 16b. The first engaging portion 16a and the second engaging portion 16b may both be formed as a second surface (12a) protruding from the back side of the first surface (11) (see Figures 3 (E) and 3 (F)).

[0085] On the second motor housing 2 facing the second surface (12a), a recess (not shown) may be formed at the position where the first engagement portion 16a and the second engagement portion 16b are disposed, and the recess has a shape complementary to them. Because the first engagement portion 16a and the second engagement portion 16b respectively fit into at least two recesses provided on the second motor housing 2, unwanted displacement of the second motor housing 2 of the grounding member 10 can be suppressed.

[0086] In one embodiment of the grounding member 10 disclosed herein, the third surface (13) may further have at least one spring-shaped portion 15 that can abut against the plug 3, specifically having a first spring-shaped portion 15a and a second spring-shaped portion 15b (see third figure).

[0087] The first spring-shaped portion 15a and the second spring-shaped portion 15b may also extend on the third surface (13). The shape of the spring-shaped portions (15a, 15b) is not particularly limited as long as they are elastic. For example, they may have a shape with at least one hill and / or valley, the shape of which has a cross-section that is generally U-shaped or generally V-shaped. The number of hills and / or valleys in the spring-shaped portions (15a, 15b) is not particularly limited.

[0088] It is preferable that the first spring-shaped portion 15a and the second spring-shaped portion 15b each have a free end (T3) and a fixed end (T4). It is even more preferable that there is at least one valley between the free end (T3) and the fixed end (T4). It is preferable that the free end (T3) of the spring-shaped portion (15a, 15b) protrudes further toward the plug 3 than the plane including the third surface (13) and abuts against the plug 3, specifically against the plug cover 3a (see Figure 10).

[0089] The front end or edge of the free end (T3) of the spring-like portion (15a, 15b) exists at a higher position than the plane containing the third surface (13) (see Figure 10 (B)). The free end (T3) of such spring-like portions (15a, 15b) can also be formed by bending and / or shaping.

[0090] More specifically, the free end (T3) of the spring-shaped portion (15a, 15b) may also protrude from the plane containing the third surface (13) by a height of about 0.5 to 5 times the thickness of the grounding member 10.

[0091] Because the spring-shaped portions (15a, 15b) have both a free end (T3) and a fixed end (T4), the displacement of the spring-shaped portions can be adjusted appropriately. Since each free end (T3) of the spring-shaped portions (15a, 15b) abuts against the plug 3, specifically against the plug cover 3a, and more specifically against the bottom of the plug cover 3a, the contact with the plug 3 can be appropriately maintained even under harsher temperature conditions. Therefore, the electrical connection with the plug 3 can be maintained more appropriately. Furthermore, the durability of the grounding circuit can be further improved.

[0092] For example, as shown in Figure 10(B), after the grounding component disclosed herein is placed on the platform 21 of the second motor housing 2, as shown in Figure 10(C), by fixing the plug 3 to the platform 21 of the second motor housing 2, the free end (T3) of the spring-shaped portion (15a, 15b) can be brought into contact with the plug 3. Here, Figures 10(B) and 10(C) show the cross-sections of the plug 3 and the second motor housing 2 before and after fixing at X-X' in Figure 10(A), respectively. At this time, the edge of the free end (T3) of the spring-shaped portion (15a, 15b) abuts against the bottom of the plug cover 3a, and the third surface of the grounding component can also abut against the bottom of the plug cover 3a. Furthermore, since a recess is provided at the bottom of the plug cover 3a where it abuts against the edge of the free end (T3) of the spring-shaped portion (15a, 15b), the edge of the free end (T3) of the spring-shaped portion (15a, 15b) can be brought into contact with the bottom of the plug cover 3a more appropriately.

[0093] For example, as shown in Figures 3 and 10, the spring-shaped portions (15a, 15b) may not have a mountain-like portion that protrudes from the back side of the third surface (13), i.e., from the side of the second surface (12b). Furthermore, such a mountain-like portion is a valley when viewed from the side of the third surface (13). The cross-sectional shape of such a mountain-like portion is not particularly limited, and it may also be roughly U-shaped as shown in the figures (refer to Figures 3(E) and 3(F)). On the platform 21 of the second motor housing 2 facing the second surface (12b), a recess 23 may also be formed to accommodate these portions at positions corresponding to the mountain-like portions (15a, 15b) (refer to Figure 5(B)). Since the mountain-shaped parts (15a, 15b) fit into the recess 23 provided on the platform 21 of the second motor housing 2, the fixed end (T4) of the spring-shaped parts (15a, 15b) engages along the edge of the platform 21, allowing the free end (T3) of the spring-shaped parts (15a, 15b) to be more appropriately displaced. It is preferable that such a recess 23 has dimensions, shape, and space within it that do not contact the top of the mountain-shaped part of the spring-shaped part.

[0094] In the illustrated configuration, the grounding member 10, plug 3, and second motor housing 2 can be fixed together by means of screws 6 or similar fastening methods (see Figure 10). The foot or thread of the screw 6 can be disposed in the screw hole 20 provided in the second motor housing 2 and engage with the second motor housing 2 (see Figures 5, 8, and 10). The fixing of the plug 3 to the second motor housing 2 is not limited to fixing by means of screws 6 or similar fastening methods; it can also be fixed directly or indirectly by appropriate locking mechanisms, engagement, and / or meshing.

[0095] It is preferable that the third surface (13) of the grounding member 10 is covered by the plug 3 by more than 80% of its area from an upper viewing angle. With most of the third surface (13) covered by the plug 3, contact with the plug 3 can be maintained more properly. This structure allows for more proper maintenance of the electrical connection. Furthermore, the durability of the grounding circuit can be further improved.

[0096] The grounding member 10 may also have at least one narrow portion 17 on the third surface (13) (refer to Figure 3(A)). The narrow portion 17 on the third surface (13) of the grounding member 10 can appropriately avoid the connection between the plug 3 and the second motor housing 2, such as screws or locking mechanisms.

[0097] The narrow portion 17, as shown in Figure 3(A), can be formed by cutting off a portion of the third surface (13) of the grounding member 10. Alternatively, the narrow portion 17 can be formed by providing an opening of a rectangular or circular shape on the third surface (13). It is preferable that the narrow portion 17 is separated from the fixed end (T4) of the spring-shaped portions (15a, 15b). It is preferable that the narrow portion 17 is sandwiched between the plug 3 and the second motor housing 2 and covers the plug 3. By doing so, the fixed end (T4) of the spring-shaped portions (15a, 15b) can be fixed more properly. In this way, the displacement of the free end (T3) of the spring-shaped portions (15a, 15b) provided on the third surface (13) can be more properly controlled.

[0098] The first surface (11) and the third surface (13) of the grounding member 10 may also be continuous with each other and curved along the edge of the platform 21 of the second motor housing 2 (see Figures 8 and 9). There are no particular limitations on the shape and size of the platform 21 that may be provided in the second motor housing 2. It is preferable that the platform 21 has the same shape and size as or larger than that of the plug 3 from the top view.

[0099] When the grounding member 10 is disposed on the platform 21 of the second motor housing 2, in order to make the height of the portion of the platform 21 without the grounding member 10 the same as the height of the portion without the grounding member 10, the height of the portion of the platform 21 without the grounding member 10 may be increased by only a portion of the thickness of the grounding member 10. In other words, the height of the portion of the platform 21 with the grounding member 10 disposed may be decreased by only a portion of the thickness of the grounding member 10.

[0100] It is preferable that the grounding component 10 is a single component. Because the grounding component 10 is a single component, an electrical connection with higher durability can be formed, especially a grounding (GND) circuit.

[0101] (Other implementation forms) Regarding one embodiment of the grounding member 10 disclosed herein, it has two spring-shaped portions (15a, 15b) on the third side (13) of the electrically connectable plug 3 (see Figure 3). These two spring-shaped portions (15a, 15b) have a generally U-shaped cross-section. Spring-shaped portions with this shape are referred to as "Type 15A" spring-shaped portions (see Figure 11(A)). Type 15A spring-shaped portions are preferred because they allow for greater displacement of the free end and are easier to adjust.

[0102] As a variation of the grounding member 10 in one embodiment of this disclosure, examples of grounding members having spring-shaped portions of “Type 15B”, “Type 15C” and “Type 15D” as shown in Figures 11(B) to 11(D) are provided.

[0103] The spring-shaped portion of the "Type 15B" is characterized by having a roughly V-shaped cross-section (see Figure 11(B)). The free end of the spring-shaped portion protrudes from the plane containing the third surface. Furthermore, the fixed end is positioned along the edge of the second motor housing.

[0104] The spring-shaped portion of the "Type 15C" is characterized by its roughly V-shaped cross-section (see Figure 11(C)). The free end of the spring-shaped portion protrudes from the plane containing the third surface.

[0105] The spring-shaped part of the "Type 15D" is located differently from that of the Types 15A to 15C. The cross-section of the spring-shaped part is characterized by a roughly V-shaped shape, but its mountain protrudes upward from the third surface to the plug 3, and the apex of the mountain abuts against the plug 3 (see Figure 11(D)). Furthermore, the spring-shaped portion of the "15D type" can also have a portion with the same shape as the fixed end of the 15A and 15B types at the position corresponding to the spring-shaped portions of the 15A and 15B types. In this way, the portion can be more appropriately engaged with the second motor housing 2 along the edge shape of the second motor housing 2.

[0106] The grounding components disclosed herein are not limited to the embodiments described above. Appropriate modifications may be made within the scope of this disclosure.

[0107] [Industrial applicability] The grounding component disclosed herein can be used for grounding various motors, especially industrial motors. The grounding component disclosed herein can be used in harsh temperature environments (especially 105°C for ten consecutive days). Even under such conditions, the grounding component disclosed herein can form an electrical connection with higher durability, particularly for forming a grounding circuit. Therefore, the grounding component disclosed herein is particularly suitable for use in industrial servo motors, including encoders. More specifically, it is even more suitable for use in cutting machines, especially servo motors in CMC cutting machines.
