Abstract
Description
Technical Field
[0001] This invention relates to a technology for generating packaging information for goods. Prior Technology
[0002] Through e-commerce platforms, consumers can easily order the goods they need without going to physical stores. By providing an environment where consumers can freely choose their shopping time and place, it gives them a convenient shopping experience.
[0003] The variety of goods handled on e-commerce platforms is gradually diversifying. This diversification makes consumers increasingly inclined to purchase goods that they previously confirmed and bought directly from physical stores via e-commerce platforms. This tendency is particularly pronounced for specific product categories that emphasize freshness and shelf life. That is, e-commerce platforms are beginning to handle freshness-critical products, and consumers prefer to purchase these products online rather than in physical stores. Based on this consumer preference, e-commerce platforms can offer services such as packaging these products in special materials and delivering them to ensure the reliability of the freshness of these products. [0036] Figure 1 is a diagram illustrating a system 100 according to one embodiment of the present invention. According to one embodiment, system 100 may include at least one of electronic device 110 or device 120. On the other hand, Figure 1 only shows an example of a system 100 to which embodiments of the present invention can be applied, and the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, other entities not shown in Figure 1 may be included in system 100.
[0037] According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 may be a server for managing a logistics center. For example, electronic device 110 may be a server for managing the outbound process of the logistics center. Here, the outbound process may include at least one of the following: an order receiving process for receiving orders for goods, a picking process for picking ordered goods from goods displayed on a shelf, or a packing process for packaging the picked ordered goods. For example, electronic device 110 may be a server for managing the packing process in the outbound process of the logistics center.
[0038] According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can generate packaging information for a plurality of ordered goods belonging to a predetermined product category. For example, the predetermined product category may be a target category, such as a fresh product category that emphasizes freshness and shelf life. For example, ordered goods belonging to the fresh product category may be fresh goods. For example, electronic device 110 can generate packaging information for a plurality of ordered goods by determining recommended packaging materials for the plurality of ordered goods from a first type of packaging material and a second type of packaging material. For example, the packaging information for the plurality of ordered goods may include information on recommended packaging materials for packaging the plurality of ordered goods. For example, the first type of packaging material may include a refrigerated box made of a special material with refrigeration function. For example, the first type of packaging material may be described as FB (fresh bag). For example, the second type of packaging material may include a cardboard box larger than the first type of packaging material (FB). For example, the second type of packaging material may be described as WB (walled box). For example, information about recommended packaging materials may include the identification number of the recommended packaging material or a list of goods that should be packaged together in the recommended packaging material. For example, the identification number of the recommended packaging material may indicate the size of the recommended packaging material.
[0039] For example, electronic device 110 can be implemented as more than one computing device. For example, all functions of electronic device 110 can be implemented in a single computing device. Alternatively, a first function of electronic device 110 can be implemented in a first computing device, and a second function can be implemented in a second computing device. Alternatively, a plurality of computing devices can be used to implement all or specific functions of electronic device 110. For example, the computing device that implements electronic device 110 can be a desktop computer, a laptop computer, an application server, a proxy server, or a cloud server, but is not limited to these; all types of servers with computing capabilities can be computing devices.
[0040] According to one embodiment, device 120 may be a device assigned to packaging personnel performing packaging operations at a packaging station in a logistics center. Device 120 can obtain packaging information of ordered goods and output it to a display.
[0041] Device 120 can be implemented as a device capable of sending and receiving various information with electronic device 110 via network 130. For example, device 120 can be one of a desktop computer, laptop computer, portable communication terminal (smartphone, etc.), portable multimedia server, wearable server, or HMD. However, the type of device 120 is not limited to these; device 120 can be any computing device including an input / output interface capable of receiving information from or sending information to the user and capable of communicating with electronic device 110 or other servers via network 130.
[0042] According to one embodiment, network 130 can connect electronic device 110, device 120, or other external servers. For example, network 130 can provide a connection path for electronic device 110 to connect with device 120 and send and receive packet data. Network 130 can be implemented as any type of wired or wireless network, such as a local area network (LAN), a wide area network (WAN), a mobile radio communication network, Wibro (wireless broadband internet), etc.
[0043] According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 and device 120 can operate as a single device. For example, device 120 can be included in electronic device 110 as all or part of its constituent elements. For example, various information transmitted and received between electronic device 110 and device 120 via network 130 can be various information transmitted and received between constituent elements within a single device. In this case, the action performed by device 120 can be described as the action performed by electronic device 110, and the action performed by electronic device 110 can be described as the action performed by device 120.
[0044] Figure 2 is a block diagram illustrating a computer device 200 according to one embodiment of the present invention. According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 and device 120 may each be implemented as one or more computing devices 200.
[0045] According to one embodiment, the computing device 200 may include one or more processors 210 and one or more memory units 220. Furthermore, the computing device 200 may include a communication interface 230. On the other hand, some components may be removed from the computing device 200 or other components (e.g., a display or input device) may be added to the computing device 200. Additionally, some components may be integrated additionally or alternatively, or implemented as a single or multiple entities.
[0046] According to one embodiment, one or more processors 210 may be represented as processor 210. Unless otherwise explicitly stated herein, the term "processor 210" may refer to a collection of one or more processors.
[0047] According to one embodiment, one or more memory units 220 may be referred to as memory units 220. Unless otherwise explicitly stated herein, the term memory unit 220 may refer to a collection of one or more memory units.
[0048] According to one embodiment, unless otherwise explicitly stated herein, the term "communication interface 230" may refer to a collection of one or more communication circuits.
[0049] According to one embodiment, the processor 210 can perform arithmetic or information processing to control or communicate with the various components of the computing device 200.
[0050] For example, processor 210 may drive software (or computer program) received from other components to control at least one component of computing device 200 connected to processor 210.
[0051] For example, processor 210 can load instructions, commands (program code or code segment) or information into memory 220, process the commands or data stored in memory 220, and store the result data generated by the processing in memory 220.
[0052] For example, the processor 210 can be operatively connected to the components of the computing device 200 to perform various operations such as calculations, processing, generation, or fabrication related to the present invention.
[0053] According to one embodiment, memory 220 can store various types of data. The data stored in memory 220 is data obtained, processed, or used by at least one component of computing device 200, and may include software. The software may include one or more commands that, when loaded into memory 220, cause processor 210 to perform operations of various embodiments of the present invention. That is, processor 210 can perform operations of various embodiments of the present invention by executing one or more commands as described above.
[0054] For example, memory 220 may include volatile or non-volatile memory.
[0055] For example, the program is software stored in memory 220, which may include an operating system for controlling the resources of computing device 200, an application program, or middleware that provides various functions to the application program so that the application program can use the resources of computing device 200.
[0056] According to one embodiment, the communication interface 230 can establish a wired or wireless communication channel with other devices to send and receive various information with those other devices.
[0057] For example, in order to communicate with other devices via wired connections, the communication interface 230 may include at least one port for connecting to other devices via a wired cable. In this case, the communication interface 230 can communicate with other devices that are wiredly connected via at least one port.
[0058] For example, the communication interface 230 may be configured to connect to a cellular network (e.g., 3G, LTE, 5G, Wibro, or WiMAX) via a cellular communication module.
[0059] For example, the communication interface 230 may include a near-field communication module to send and receive information with other devices using near-field communication (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), UWB).
[0060] For example, the communication interface 230 may include a contactless communication module for performing contactless communication. Here, contactless communication may include, for example, at least one short-range contactless communication technology such as NFC (near field communication), RFID (radio frequency identification), or MST (magnetic secure transmission). In addition to the various examples described above, the computing device 200 may also be implemented in various known ways for communicating with other devices; the scope of the present invention is not limited to the examples described above.
[0061] According to one embodiment, the computing device 200 may include a display. The display may show various screens (e.g., packaging information) under the control of the processor 210. For example, a web browser or dedicated application may be installed on the computing device 200 to display various screens. Furthermore, the display is configured to interact with a user and can receive user input. Such a display may be implemented using a touch sensor panel (TSP) capable of recognizing the contact or proximity of various external objects (e.g., a user's finger or pen tip).
[0062] According to one embodiment, the computing device 200 may include an input device (e.g., a mouse or keyboard). The input device may receive information for use with the components of the computing device 200 from outside the computing device 200 (e.g., a user).
[0063] According to one embodiment, the computing device 200 may include a camera. The camera can capture images of objects such as goods or boxes to generate images of the objects. Furthermore, the camera can identify the identification code (barcode, QR code) of the goods or boxes and obtain identification information of the goods or boxes encoded with that identification code. For example, when the identification information of a goods is encoded as its identification code, the camera can obtain the identification information of the goods from the identification code. Similarly, when the identification information of a box is encoded as its identification code, the camera can obtain the identification information of the box from the box's identification code.
[0064] The processor 210, memory 220, and communication interface 230 shown in Figure 2 can be connected to each other to send and receive information or signals via bus, GPIO (general purpose input / output), SPI (serial peripheral interface), or MIPI (mobile industry processor interface).
[0065] When a consumer orders multiple items belonging to a specific product category that prioritizes freshness and shelf life, the multiple ordered items can be packaged in Type 1 packaging material of a special type and then delivered to the consumer. In cases where it is not possible to package multiple ordered items in a single Type 1 packaging material, the multiple ordered items can be allocated to multiple Type 1 packaging materials and packaged in the allocated Type 1 packaging materials before being delivered to the consumer. As described above, when it is necessary to allocate multiple ordered items to multiple Type 1 packaging materials, at least two or more Type 1 packaging materials can be merged, and the ordered items allocated to each of the at least two or more Type 1 packaging materials can be allocated to a single Type 1 packaging material. This method reduces the total number of Type 1 packaging materials used to package multiple ordered items. On the other hand, when packaging multiple orders of goods into Type 2 packaging materials that are larger than Type 1 packaging materials, it is more efficient in terms of cost if the total number of Type 2 packaging materials used to package the multiple orders of goods is less than the total number of Type 1 packaging materials. This is because, for example, if the total number of Type 2 packaging materials used to package the multiple orders of goods is A, and the total number of Type 1 packaging materials used to package the multiple orders of goods is B, and A is less than B, then the cost of delivering A Type 2 packaging materials to the consumer may be lower than the cost of delivering B Type 1 packaging materials to the consumer. Therefore, the present invention proposes the following method: comparing the total number of Type 1 packaging materials used to package a plurality of ordered goods with the total number of Type 2 packaging materials, and determining recommended packaging materials for the plurality of ordered goods from the Type 1 and Type 2 packaging materials, thereby generating packaging information for the plurality of ordered goods.
[0066] Figure 3 is a diagram illustrating a process 300 for determining recommended packaging materials for ordered goods according to one embodiment of the present invention. Hereinafter, the operation of process 300 will be described as being performed by electronic device 110, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the operation of process 300 may be performed by device 120. For example, the operation of process 300 may also be performed by a device that implements at least a portion of the functions of electronic device 110 or device 120.
[0067] In action S310, the electronic device 110 can identify a plurality of ordered goods as packaging objects. According to one embodiment, the electronic device 110 can obtain order information for a plurality of ordered goods belonging to a predetermined product category, and identify the plurality of ordered goods indicated by the order information as packaging objects. For example, the order information may include product information for each of the plurality of ordered goods. For example, the product information for each of the plurality of ordered goods may include at least one of product category, product name, image, price, capacity, quantity, weight, brand, or size. For example, the size included in the product information refers to the size of the physical space occupied by the product, which may refer to volume. For example, the size included in the product may indicate the length of the product in the horizontal, vertical, and height directions.
[0068] In action S320, electronic device 110 can determine the total number of Type I packaging materials used to package a plurality of ordered goods. According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can determine the total number of Type I packaging materials used to package a plurality of ordered goods by allocating the plurality of ordered goods to at least one Type I packaging material based on the size of each of the plurality of ordered goods.
[0069] In action S330, electronic device 110 can determine the total number of second-type packaging materials used to package a plurality of ordered goods. According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can determine the total number of second-type packaging materials used to package a plurality of ordered goods by allocating the plurality of ordered goods to at least one second-type packaging material based on the size of each of the plurality of ordered goods.
[0070] In action S340, the electronic device 110 can compare the total number of Type 1 packaging materials used to package a plurality of ordered goods with the total number of Type 2 packaging materials used to package a plurality of ordered goods.
[0071] When the total number of Type 1 packaging materials used to package a plurality of ordered goods is greater than the total number of Type 2 packaging materials used to package a plurality of ordered goods, in operation S350, the electronic device 110 can determine Type 2 packaging materials as recommended packaging materials for the plurality of ordered goods. According to one embodiment, the electronic device 110 can generate packaging information for the plurality of ordered goods based on determining Type 2 packaging materials as recommended packaging materials for the plurality of ordered goods.
[0072] When the total number of Type 1 packaging materials used to package a plurality of ordered goods is less than or equal to the total number of Type 2 packaging materials used to package a plurality of ordered goods, in operation S360, the electronic device 110 can determine Type 1 packaging materials as recommended packaging materials for the plurality of ordered goods. According to one embodiment, the electronic device 110 can generate packaging information for the plurality of ordered goods based on determining Type 1 packaging materials as recommended packaging materials for the plurality of ordered goods.
[0073] Figure 4 is a diagram illustrating a process 400 of allocating ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, and 416 to a type 1 packaging material (FB) 420 according to one embodiment of the present invention. According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can allocate a plurality of ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, and 416 to at least one type 1 packaging material (FB) 420 based on the dimensions of each of the plurality of ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, and 416 indicated by order information 410. For example, electronic device 110 can allocate at least two of the plurality of ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, and 416 to one type 1 packaging material (FB) 420. For example, electronic device 110 can assign one of a plurality of ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 to a Type 1 packaging material (FB) 420. On the other hand, the example in FIG4 is merely hypothetical for illustrative purposes, and the invention is not limited thereto. Order information 410 can indicate a quantity of more than 6 items or a quantity of less than 6 items, and the Type 1 packaging material (FB) 420 can have various sizes or shapes. Hereinafter, the description will continue with the example in FIG4.
[0074] Figure 5 is a diagram illustrating a process 500 of allocating ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 to a type 1 packaging material (FB) according to one embodiment of the present invention. According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can identify at least one item 411, 415 that can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB) from among the ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 based on the size of each of the ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416.
[0075] For example, in action S510, electronic device 110 can determine whether a plurality of ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB). In response to determining that the plurality of ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 cannot be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB), electronic device 110 can identify the largest ordered item 412 among the plurality of ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 and perform action S520.
[0076] For example, in action S520, electronic device 110 can determine whether the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 414, 415, and 416, other than ordered item 412, can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB). In response to determining that the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 414, 415, and 416, other than ordered item 412, cannot be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB), electronic device 110 identifies the largest ordered item 414 among the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 414, 415, and 416, and performs action S530.
[0077] For example, in action S530, electronic device 110 can determine whether the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 415, and 416, other than ordered items 412 and 414, can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB). In response to determining that the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 415, and 416, other than ordered items 412 and 414, cannot be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB), electronic device 110 can identify the largest ordered item 416 among the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 415, and 416, and perform action S540.
[0078] For example, in action S540, electronic device 110 can determine whether the remaining ordered items 411, 413, and 415, other than ordered items 412, 414, and 416, can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB). In response to determining that the remaining ordered items 411, 413, and 415, other than ordered items 412, 414, and 416, cannot be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB), electronic device 110 identifies the largest ordered item 413 among the remaining ordered items 411, 413, and 415, and performs action S550.
[0079] For example, in action S550, electronic device 110 may determine whether the remaining ordered items 411 and 415, other than ordered items 412, 413, 414, and 416, can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB). In response to determining that the remaining ordered items 411 and 415, other than ordered items 412, 413, 414, and 416, can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB), electronic device 110 may allocate the remaining ordered items 411 and 415 to a type 1 packaging material (FB).
[0080] Figure 6 illustrates a process 600 of allocating ordered goods 412, 413, 414, 416 to a type 1 packaging material (FB) according to one embodiment of the present invention. Electronic device 110 can identify at least one item 413, 416 that can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB) from among the unallocated plurality of ordered goods 412, 413, 414, 416 based on the dimensions of each of the unallocated plurality of ordered goods 412, 413, 414, 416.
[0081] For example, in action S610, electronic device 110 may determine whether a plurality of ordered items 412, 413, 414, 416 can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB). In response to determining that the plurality of ordered items 412, 413, 414, 416 cannot be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB), electronic device 110 may identify the largest ordered item 412 among the plurality of ordered items 412, 413, 414, 416 and perform action S620.
[0082] For example, in action S620, electronic device 110 can determine whether the remaining ordered items 413, 414, and 416, other than ordered item 412, can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB). In response to determining that the remaining ordered items 413, 414, and 416, other than ordered item 412, cannot be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB), electronic device 110 can identify the largest ordered item 414 among the remaining ordered items 413, 414, and 416, and perform action S630.
[0083] For example, in action S630, electronic device 110 may determine whether the remaining ordered items 413 and 416, other than ordered items 412 and 414, can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB). In response to determining that the remaining ordered items 413 and 416, other than ordered items 412 and 414, can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB), electronic device 110 may allocate the remaining ordered items 413 and 416 to a type 1 packaging material (FB).
[0084] Figure 7 is a diagram illustrating a process 700 of allocating ordered goods 412, 414 to a type 1 packaging material (FB) according to one embodiment of the present invention. Electronic device 110 can identify at least one item 414 that can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB) from among the unallocated plurality of ordered goods 412, 414 based on the dimensions of each of the unallocated plurality of ordered goods 412, 414.
[0085] For example, in action S710, electronic device 110 may determine whether a plurality of ordered items 412, 414 can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB). In response to determining that a plurality of ordered items 412, 414 cannot be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB), electronic device 110 may identify the largest ordered item 412 among the plurality of ordered items 412, 414 and perform action S720.
[0086] For example, in action S720, electronic device 110 may determine whether the remaining ordered goods 414, other than ordered goods 412, can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB). In response to determining that the remaining ordered goods 414, other than ordered goods 412, can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB), electronic device 110 may allocate ordered goods 414 to a type 1 packaging material (FB).
[0087] Figure 8 is a diagram illustrating a process 800 of allocating ordered item 412 to a type 1 packaging material (FB) according to one embodiment of the present invention. For example, in operation S810, electronic device 110 may determine, based on the size of the unallocated ordered item 412, whether the ordered item 412 can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB). In response to determining that the ordered item 412 can be packaged in a type 1 packaging material (FB), electronic device 110 may allocate the ordered item 412 to a type 1 packaging material (FB). On the other hand, if it is not possible to package an ordered item in a type 1 packaging material, electronic device 110 may allocate the ordered item to a type 2 packaging material.
[0088] Figure 9 illustrates the result 900 of allocating a plurality of ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 415, 415, 416 to first-type packaging materials 910, 920, 930, 940 according to one embodiment of the present invention. According to one embodiment, the electronic device 110 can determine the total number of first-type packaging materials used to package the plurality of ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 415, 415, 416 based on the result 900 of allocating the plurality of ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 415, 415, 416 to first-type packaging materials 910, 920, 930, 940.
[0089] Referring to the example in Figure 9, the electronic device 110 can determine the total number of Type 1 packaging materials 910, 920, 930, and 940 used to package a plurality of ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 415, 415, and 416 as four. Here, one Type 1 packaging material can be processed as a package delivered to a consumer. Therefore, the total number of Type 1 packaging materials can be the total number of packages delivered to consumers.
[0090] Figure 10 is a diagram illustrating a process 1000 of allocating ordered items 411, 412, 413, 415, 415, 416 to a type 2 packaging material (WB) according to one embodiment of the present invention. According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can allocate a plurality of ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 to at least one type 2 packaging material (WB) based on the dimensions of each of the plurality of ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 indicated by order information 410. For example, electronic device 110 can allocate at least two of the plurality of ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 to a single type 2 packaging material (WB). For example, electronic device 110 can assign one of a plurality of ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 to a type 2 packaging material (WB). On the other hand, the example in FIG10 is merely hypothetical for illustrative purposes, and the invention is not limited thereto. The type 2 packaging material (WB) can have various sizes or shapes.
[0091] Figure 11 illustrates a second type of packaging material group 1100 according to one embodiment of the present invention. According to one embodiment, a plurality of second type packaging materials WB1, WB2, and WB3 with different sizes 1110, 1120, and 1130 may belong to the second type of packaging material group 1100. For example, an electronic device 1100 may allocate ordered goods to a plurality of second type packaging materials WB1, WB2, and WB3. On the other hand, the example in Figure 11 is merely hypothetical for illustrating embodiments of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the example in Figure 11 assumes that three ordinary boxes WB1, WB2, and WB3 with different sizes 1110, 1120, and 1130 belong to the second type of packaging material group 1100, but second type packaging materials with smaller or larger sizes may also belong to the second type of packaging material group 1100.
[0092] Figure 12 is a diagram illustrating a process 1200 of allocating ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, and 416 to second-type packaging material (WB) according to one embodiment of the present invention. According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can determine the second-type packaging material (WB) for packaging at least a portion of the ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, and 416 based on the dimensions of each of the ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, and 416.
[0093] For example, in action S1210, electronic device 110 can determine whether it is possible to package multiple ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, and 416 in the smallest type 2 packaging material WB1 among the type 2 packaging material groups 1100. Electronic device 110 can perform action S1220 in response to determining that it is impossible to package multiple ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, and 416 in type 2 packaging material WB1.
[0094] For example, in action S1220, electronic device 110 can determine whether it is possible to package multiple ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, and 416 in type 2 packaging material WB2, whose dimensions are only larger than those of type 2 packaging material WB1, in type 2 packaging material group 1100. In response to determining that it is impossible to package multiple ordered items 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, and 416 in type 2 packaging material WB2, electronic device 110 can perform action S1230.
[0095] For example, in action S1230, electronic device 110 can determine whether a plurality of ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 can be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB3, whose dimensions are only larger than type 2 packaging material WB2, within type 2 packaging material group 1100. In response to determining that it is impossible to package the plurality of ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 in type 2 packaging material WB3, electronic device 110 can determine to package the plurality of ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416 separately.
[0096] Figure 13 is a diagram illustrating a process 1300 of allocating ordered goods 411, 413, 414, 415, and 416 to second-type packaging material (WB) according to one embodiment of the present invention. Electronic device 110 can identify and determine the largest ordered goods 412 among the separately packaged plurality of ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, and 416.
[0097] For example, in action S1310, electronic device 110 can determine whether the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 414, 415, and 416, excluding ordered item 412, can be packaged in the smallest type 2 packaging material WB1 in type 2 packaging material group 1100. Electronic device 110 can perform action S1320 in response to determining that the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 414, 415, and 416 cannot be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB1.
[0098] For example, in action S1320, electronic device 110 can determine whether the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 414, 415, and 416, excluding ordered item 412, can be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB2 (which is larger than type 2 packaging material WB1) within type 2 packaging material group 1100. Electronic device 110 can perform action S1330 in response to determining that the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 414, 415, and 416 cannot be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB2.
[0099] For example, in action S1330, electronic device 110 can determine whether the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 414, 415, and 416, excluding ordered item 412, can be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB3, which is only larger than type 2 packaging material WB2, within type 2 packaging material group 1100. In response to determining that the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 414, 415, and 416 cannot be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB3, electronic device 110 can determine to package the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 414, 415, and 416 separately.
[0100] Figure 14 is a diagram illustrating a process 1400 of allocating ordered goods 411, 413, 415, and 416 to second-type packaging material (WB) according to one embodiment of the present invention. Electronic device 110 can identify and determine the largest ordered goods 414 among the separately packaged plurality of ordered goods 411, 413, 414, 415, and 416.
[0101] For example, in action S1410, electronic device 110 can determine whether the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 415, and 416, excluding ordered items 412 and 414, can be packaged in the smallest type 2 packaging material WB1 in type 2 packaging material group 1100. Electronic device 110 can perform action S1420 in response to determining that the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 415, and 416 cannot be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB1.
[0102] For example, in action S1420, electronic device 110 can determine whether the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 415, and 416, excluding ordered items 412 and 414, can be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB2, which is only larger than type 2 packaging material WB1 in type 2 packaging material group 1100. In response to determining that the remaining ordered items 411, 413, 415, and 416 cannot be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB2, electronic device 110 can perform action S1430.
[0103] For example, in action S1430, electronic device 110 can determine whether the remaining ordered goods 411, 413, 415, and 416, other than ordered goods 412 and ordered goods 414, can be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB3, which is only larger than type 2 packaging material WB2 in type 2 packaging material group 1100. In response to determining that the remaining ordered goods 411, 413, 415, and 416 can be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB3, electronic device 110 can allocate the remaining ordered goods 411, 413, 415, and 416 to type 2 packaging material WB3.
[0104] Figure 15 is a diagram illustrating a process 1500 of allocating ordered goods 412, 414 to second-type packaging material (WB) according to one embodiment of the present invention. Electronic device 110 can determine the second-type packaging material (WB) for packaging at least a portion of the unallocated plurality of ordered goods 412, 414 based on the dimensions of each of the unallocated plurality of ordered goods 412, 414.
[0105] For example, in action S1510, electronic device 110 can determine whether it is possible to package a plurality of ordered goods 412, 414 in the smallest type 2 packaging material WB1 in type 2 packaging material group 1100. Electronic device 110 can perform action S1520 in response to determining that it is impossible to package a plurality of ordered goods 412, 414 in type 2 packaging material WB1.
[0106] For example, in action S1520, electronic device 110 can determine whether it is possible to package multiple ordered items 412, 414 in type 2 packaging material WB2, whose dimensions are only larger than those of type 2 packaging material WB1, within type 2 packaging material group 1100. In response to determining that it is impossible to package multiple ordered items 412, 414 in type 2 packaging material WB2, electronic device 110 can perform action S1530.
[0107] For example, in action S1530, electronic device 110 can determine whether a plurality of ordered goods 412, 414 can be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB3, whose size is only larger than type 2 packaging material WB2, within type 2 packaging material group 1100. In response to determining that it is impossible to package the plurality of ordered goods 412, 414 in type 2 packaging material WB3, electronic device 110 can determine to package the plurality of ordered goods 412, 414 separately.
[0108] Figure 16 is a diagram illustrating a process 1600 of allocating ordered goods 414 to second-type packaging material (WB) according to one embodiment of the present invention. Electronic device 110 can identify and determine the largest ordered goods 412 among the separately packaged plurality of ordered goods 412, 414.
[0109] For example, in action S1610, electronic device 110 may determine whether the remaining ordered goods 414, excluding ordered goods 412, can be packaged in the smallest type 2 packaging material WB1 in type 2 packaging material group 1100. In response to determining that ordered goods 414 can be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB1, electronic device 110 may allocate ordered goods 414 to type 2 packaging material WB1.
[0110] Figure 17 is a diagram illustrating a process 1700 of allocating ordered goods 412 to second-type packaging material (WB) according to one embodiment of the present invention. For example, electronic device 110 may determine the second-type packaging material (WB) to package ordered goods 412 based on the size of unallocated ordered goods 412.
[0111] For example, in action S1710, electronic device 110 can determine whether the ordered goods 412 can be packaged in the smallest type 2 packaging material WB1 in type 2 packaging material group 1100. Electronic device 110 can perform action S1720 in response to determining that the ordered goods 412 cannot be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB1.
[0112] For example, in action S1720, electronic device 110 may determine whether ordered goods 412 can be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB2, which is only larger than type 2 packaging material WB1, within type 2 packaging material group 1100. In response to determining that ordered goods 412 can be packaged in type 2 packaging material WB2, electronic device 110 may allocate ordered goods 412 to type 2 packaging material WB2.
[0113] Figure 18 illustrates the result 1800 of allocating a plurality of ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 415, 415, 416 to second-type packaging materials 1810, 1820, 1830 according to one embodiment of the present invention. According to one embodiment, the electronic device 110 can determine the total number of second-type packaging materials 1810, 1820, 1830 used to package the plurality of ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 415, 415, 416 based on the result 1800 of allocating the plurality of ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 415, 415, 416 to second-type packaging materials 1810, 1820, 1830. Referring to the example in Figure 18, the electronic device 110 can determine the total number of Type 2 packaging materials 1810, 1820, and 1830 used to package a plurality of ordered goods 411, 412, 413, 415, 415, and 416 as three. Here, one Type 2 packaging material can be processed as a package delivered to a consumer. Therefore, the total number of Type 2 packaging materials can be the total number of packages delivered to consumers.
[0114] Figure 19 is a flowchart 1900 of providing packaging information for ordered goods according to one embodiment of the present invention. According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can obtain order information for a plurality of ordered goods. For example, the order information for the plurality of ordered goods may include product information for each of the plurality of ordered goods. For example, electronic device 110 may determine recommended packaging materials for the plurality of ordered goods from among the first type of packaging materials and the second type of packaging materials based on a comparison between the total number of first type packaging materials and the total number of second type packaging materials used to package the plurality of ordered goods. For example, electronic device 110 may generate packaging information for the plurality of ordered goods in response to determining the recommended packaging materials for the plurality of ordered goods.
[0115] According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can determine recommended packaging materials for the plurality of ordered goods from among the first type of packaging materials and the second type of packaging materials based on a comparison between the total number of first type packaging materials used to package the plurality of ordered goods and the total number of second type packaging materials. For example, electronic device 110 can generate packaging information for the plurality of ordered goods in response to determining the recommended packaging materials for the plurality of ordered goods.
[0116] According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can receive identification information of a target ordered item from a plurality of ordered items from device 120 at a packaging station within a logistics center.
[0117] For example, device 120 can obtain scanned information of the identification code of the target ordered goods arriving at the packaging station. For example, at the packaging workbench of the packaging station, packaging personnel can retrieve the target ordered goods from the tote that has arrived at the packaging station and scan the identification code of the target ordered goods using a scanner located on the packaging workbench. In this case, the scanner can transmit the scanned information of the identification code of the target ordered goods to device 120. Alternatively, packaging personnel can scan the identification code of the target ordered goods using the camera of device 120, thereby obtaining the scanned information of the identification code of the target ordered goods. For example, the identification code of the target ordered goods can be a barcode or QR code that can identify the target ordered goods. For example, the scanned information of the identification code of the target ordered goods may include the identification information of the target ordered goods. For example, the identification information of the target ordered goods may include at least one of the following: the identification symbol of the packaging station that packages the target ordered goods, the product identification symbol of the target ordered goods, or the product name of the target ordered goods. For example, device 120 can transmit the identification information of the target ordered product, which is included in the scan information of the identification code of the target ordered product, to electronic device 110.
[0118] According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can extract the packaging information of a product with the same identification information as the target product from the packaging information of a plurality of ordered products based on the identification information of the target product, and transmit the extracted packaging information as the packaging information of the target product to device 120.
[0119] According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can receive from device 120 packaging completion information indicating that the target ordered goods have been packaged.
[0120] For example, at the packaging workstation of the packaging station, packaging workers can identify recommended packaging materials for packaging the target ordered goods based on the packaging information of the target ordered goods displayed on the monitor output to device 120. For example, at the packaging workstation of the packaging station, packaging workers can identify at least one ordered item that should be packaged in the recommended packaging materials based on the packaging information of the target ordered goods displayed on the monitor output to device 120. For example, packaging workers can remove at least one ordered item indicated by the packaging information of the target ordered goods from the turnover box, scan the identification code of each item using a scanner located on the packaging workstation or a camera of device 120, and then place it into the recommended packaging materials. After all at least one ordered item indicated by the packaging information of the target ordered goods has been placed in the recommended packaging materials, packaging workers can use a printer located on the packaging workstation to print a waybill for at least one ordered item packaged in the recommended packaging materials, and affix the printed waybill to the outer surface of the recommended packaging materials. For example, the waybill may include the identification code of the recommended packaging materials. Here, the identification code for the recommended packaging material can be a barcode or QR code capable of identifying the recommended packaging material and at least one item packaged within it. For example, after all at least one ordered item indicated by the packaging information of the target ordered item has been loaded into the recommended packaging material (i.e., after all the identification codes of at least one ordered item indicated by the packaging information of the target ordered item have been scanned), device 120 can transmit the following instruction to the printer located on the packaging workbench: print the waybill for at least one item packaged in the recommended packaging material. In this case, the printer can print the waybill for at least one item packaged in the recommended packaging material.
[0121] For example, packaging workers can use a scanner located on the packaging workbench to scan the identification code of the recommended packaging material. [0136] Figure 22 illustrates a method 2200 for generating packaging information according to one embodiment of the present invention. Hereinafter, the operation of method 2200 will be described as being performed by electronic device 110, but the present invention is not limited thereto. For example, the operation of method 2200 may be performed by device 120.
[0137] In action S2210, electronic device 110 can obtain order information for a plurality of ordered items belonging to a predetermined product category.
[0138] In action S2220, electronic device 110 can determine the total number of at least one Type 1 packaging material used to package a plurality of ordered goods.
[0139] According to one embodiment, when determining the total number of at least one type 1 packaging material used to package a plurality of ordered goods, the electronic device 110 can allocate the plurality of ordered goods to at least one type 1 packaging material based on the size of each of the plurality of ordered goods.
[0140] For example, when allocating multiple ordered items to at least one type 1 packaging material based on their individual dimensions, the electronic device 110 can determine whether the multiple ordered items can be packaged together in the type 1 packaging material. For example, in response to determining that the multiple ordered items cannot be packaged together in the type 1 packaging material, the electronic device 110 can determine whether the remaining items (excluding the largest item) can be packaged together in the type 1 packaging material. For example, in response to determining that the remaining items (excluding the first item) cannot be packaged together in the type 1 packaging material, the electronic device 110 can identify the second item (second only in size to the first item) among the multiple ordered items and determine whether the remaining items (excluding the first and second items) can be packaged together in the type 1 packaging material. The above situations can be illustrated with reference to Figures 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
[0141] In action S2230, electronic device 110 can determine the total number of at least one type 2 packaging material used to package a plurality of ordered goods.
[0142] According to one embodiment, when determining the total number of at least one type 2 packaging material used to package a plurality of ordered goods, the electronic device 110 can allocate the plurality of ordered goods to at least one type 2 packaging material based on the size of each of the plurality of ordered goods.
[0143] For example, when allocating a plurality of ordered items to at least one type 2 packaging material, the electronic device 110 may determine whether the plurality of ordered items can be packaged together in the smallest type 2 packaging material among the plurality of type 2 packaging materials belonging to the group of type 2 packaging materials. For example, in response to determining that it is impossible to package the plurality of ordered items together in the smallest type 2 packaging material among the plurality of type 2 packaging materials, the electronic device 110 may determine whether it is possible to package the plurality of ordered items together in the second smallest type 2 packaging material among the plurality of type 2 packaging materials. For example, in response to determining that it is impossible to package the plurality of ordered items in the largest type 2 packaging material among the plurality of type 2 packaging materials, the electronic device 110 may determine whether it is possible to package the remaining items of the plurality of ordered items, excluding the largest first item, together in the smallest type 2 packaging material among the plurality of type 2 packaging materials. The above situation can be explained with reference to Figures 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18.
[0144] In action S2240, the electronic device 110 may determine recommended packaging materials for the plurality of ordered goods from among the first type of packaging materials and the second type of packaging materials based on a comparison between the total number of at least one first type of packaging material used to package the plurality of ordered goods and the total number of at least one second type of packaging material used to package the plurality of ordered goods.
[0145] According to one embodiment, when the total number of at least one type 1 packaging material used to package a plurality of ordered goods is greater than the total number of at least one type 2 packaging material used to package a plurality of ordered goods, the electronic device 110 may determine the type 2 packaging material as the recommended packaging material for the plurality of ordered goods. For example, the electronic device 110 may generate first packaging information for the plurality of ordered goods in response to determining the type 2 packaging material as the recommended packaging material for the plurality of ordered goods. For example, the first packaging information may include information indicating that the type 2 packaging material is the recommended packaging material for the plurality of ordered goods. For example, the electronic device 110 may transmit the first packaging information of at least one of the plurality of ordered goods to the device 120 of the packaging operator. The above situation can be described with reference to Figures 19 and 21.
[0146] According to one embodiment, when the total number of at least one type 1 packaging material used to package a plurality of ordered goods is less than or equal to the total number of at least one type 2 packaging material used to package a plurality of ordered goods, the electronic device 110 may determine the type 1 packaging material as the recommended packaging material for the plurality of ordered goods. For example, in response to determining the type 1 packaging material as the recommended packaging material for the plurality of ordered goods, the electronic device 110 may generate second packaging information for the plurality of ordered goods. For example, the second packaging information may include information indicating that the type 1 packaging material is the recommended packaging material for the plurality of ordered goods. For example, the electronic device 110 may transmit the second packaging information of at least one of the plurality of ordered goods to the device 120 of the packaging operator. The above situation can be described with reference to Figures 19 and 20.
