Implementation Method
[0036] One embodiment of this disclosure provides an imaging lens comprising a plurality of lenses, a plastic lens barrel, a frame element, and a gap, wherein the lenses are arranged sequentially along an optical axis, and the frame element is fixed to the plastic lens barrel. Each lens comprises a glass lens and a first plastic lens, the first plastic lens corresponding to the glass lens and disposed within the plastic lens barrel. The plastic lens barrel comprises a first inner surface and a first outer surface, the first inner surface surrounding the optical axis, the first plastic lens substantially contacting a first region of the first inner surface, and the first outer surface being disposed opposite to the first inner surface and further away from the first plastic lens than the first inner surface. The frame element comprises a second inner surface surrounding the optical axis and facing the first outer surface, the second inner surface substantially contacting a second region of the first outer surface. A gap is formed between the first outer surface and the second inner surface, extending from the second region along the optical axis, and the gap corresponds to the first region. The imaging lens further includes at least one first annular structure disposed on a first inner surface. This first annular structure corresponds to a second region and extends around the optical axis away from the frame elements. The imaging lens also includes a glass lens and a first plastic lens, thereby improving optical quality and reducing the impact of the environment on the imaging lens. The first region where the first plastic lens contacts the plastic lens barrel corresponds to a gap, thereby providing margin for the expansion of the first plastic lens in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis and guiding the deformation direction of the first plastic lens. Furthermore, the first annular structure corresponds to the second region to enhance the mechanical strength of the second region, thereby reducing the impact of the environment on the size of the imaging lens.
[0037] Specifically, the frame element can be a sleeve, frame, base, or lens holding element, and is not limited thereto. Furthermore, the frame element can be fixed to the plastic lens barrel by threaded engagement, adhesive application, mechanical engagement, or a combination of methods, and is not limited thereto.
[0038] The imaging lens may further include a first annular element forming a first annular structure, the first annular element being in solid contact with a third region of the first inner surface. This increases the degree of freedom in assembly.
[0039] The hardness of the first annular element can be greater than that of the plastic lens barrel. This further enhances the axial deformation resistance of the plastic lens barrel, thereby improving the impact resistance of the imaging lens. Specifically, the first annular element can be a metal element, a ceramic element, or a plastic element with added glass fiber, but is not limited to these.
[0040] The first inner surface and the first annular structure can be integrally formed. This reduces the number of components used and simplifies the assembly process.
[0041] The frame element may include an extension structure that extends toward the optical axis, wherein one of the lenses may rest against the extension structure. This further enhances the frame element's ability to maintain the lens while reducing the number of elements used.
[0042] The rigidity of the frame element can be greater than that of the plastic lens barrel. This helps maintain the size of the plastic lens barrel under environmental changes, thereby extending the lifespan of the imaging lens. Specifically, the frame element can be a metal element, a ceramic element, or a plastic element with added glass fiber, but is not limited to these.
[0043] In the direction perpendicular to the optical axis, the second region may not overlap with the first region. This ensures the deformation margin of the first plastic lens in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis.
[0044] In a cross-section parallel to the optical axis, the first plastic lens is defined with a lens diameter of D and a plastic barrel thickness of T in the first region, which satisfies the following condition: 0.018 ≤ T / D ≤ 0.6. This guides the direction of lens deformation while maintaining the lens spacing. Furthermore, in a cross-section parallel to the optical axis, the first plastic lens is defined with a lens diameter of D and a plastic barrel thickness of T in the first region, which satisfies the following condition: 0.02 ≤ T / D ≤ 0.22.
[0045] In a cross-section parallel to the optical axis, the thickness of the plastic lens barrel in the first region is T, which satisfies the following condition: 0.22 mm ≤ T ≤ 3.0 mm. This provides sufficient support and prevents the plastic lens from being squeezed during deformation.
[0046] On the cross-section parallel to the optical axis, the minimum width of the gap corresponding to the first region is W, which satisfies the following condition: 0.0012 mm ≤ W ≤ 0.24 mm. This improves the stability of the mechanism and thus increases yield while maintaining sufficient deformation margin.
[0047] A first annular structure is disposed in a third region on the first inner surface. In the direction parallel to the optical axis, the third region overlaps with the second region by a length of 0. The length of the plastic lens barrel is PBL, which satisfies the following condition: 0.012 ≤ 0 / PBL ≤ 0.42. This prevents the frame components from detaching when the plastic part deforms, thereby improving the lens lifespan.
[0048] The number of the first annular structures can be multiple. This can further maintain the spacing between the lenses to ensure optical quality.
[0049] The imaging lens may further include a fixing element that fixes the plastic lens barrel and the frame element. The fixing element is disposed on the frame element and can be in physical contact with at least one of the lens and the plastic lens barrel. This improves the stability of the fixation between the frame element and the plastic lens barrel. Specifically, the fixing element may be a cover element, an adhesive, or a combination of multiple elements, or it may be a fixing adhesive generated by melting some of the elements by means of temperature, chemicals, etc., but is not limited thereto.
[0050] The lens may further include a second plastic lens, with the first annular structure disposed between the second plastic lens and the first plastic lens. The second plastic lens may physically contact the first inner surface and may correspond to the gap. Thus, the first annular structure has the function of maintaining the lens spacing, which can further improve optical performance.
[0051] The first annular structure and the first plastic lens can be arranged adjacent to each other. This further maintains the fit between the first plastic lens and the first annular structure, thereby improving assembly efficiency.
[0052] The imaging lens may further include a second annular structure disposed on the first inner surface. In the direction perpendicular to the optical axis, the second annular structure corresponds to the gap, and the second annular structure surrounds the optical axis and extends away from the gap. In a cross-section parallel to the optical axis, the width of the gap corresponding to the second annular structure may be narrower than the width of the gap corresponding to the first region. The minimum width of the gap corresponding to the second annular structure is WN, which satisfies the following condition: 0.004 mm ≤ WN ≤ 0.05 mm. The narrower width of the gap corresponding to the interval improves the mechanical strength of the imaging lens while maintaining lens expansion margin, thereby enhancing the stability of the overall optical system. Furthermore, the minimum width of the gap corresponding to the second annular structure, WN, satisfies the following condition: 0.005 mm ≤ WN ≤ 0.04 mm.
[0053] The imaging lens may further include a protruding structure disposed on the first outer surface of the plastic lens barrel and corresponding to the second annular structure. The protruding structure protrudes away from the second annular structure and maintains a gap with the frame element. This enhances the mechanical strength of the third region to control deformation of the plastic lens barrel.
[0054] The protruding structure may include a plurality of sub-protruding structures, which are arranged at intervals. This allows for the flow of material through the gaps on both sides of the protruding structure after deformation, thereby further maintaining the deformation margin of the first plastic lens.
[0055] The various technical features in the imaging lens module disclosed above can be combined and configured to achieve corresponding effects.
[0056] This disclosure provides a camera module comprising the aforementioned imaging lens and a component carrier, wherein the frame element of the imaging lens is fixed to the component carrier. This prevents deformation of the plastic lens barrel during assembly, thereby improving assembly yield. Specifically, the component carrier may further have the functionality of driving the imaging lens to achieve autofocus and optical image stabilization, but is not limited thereto.
[0057] This disclosure provides an electronic device that includes the aforementioned camera module.
[0058] One embodiment of this disclosure provides an imaging lens comprising a plurality of lenses, a plastic lens barrel, a frame element, and a gap, wherein the lenses are arranged sequentially along an optical axis, and the frame element is fixed to the plastic lens barrel. The imaging lens further includes at least one annular structure disposed on the first inner surface. This at least one annular structure corresponds to a gap and extends around the optical axis away from the gap. In a cross-section parallel to the optical axis, the width of the at least one annular structure corresponding to the gap is narrower than the width of the first region corresponding to the gap. The minimum width of the at least one annular structure corresponding to the gap is WN, which satisfies the following condition: 0.004 mm ≤ WN ≤ 0.05 mm. Thus, the imaging lens simultaneously includes both a glass lens and a plastic lens, improving optical quality and reducing the influence of the environment on the imaging lens. Furthermore, the first region where the first plastic lens contacts the plastic lens barrel corresponds to the gap, thereby providing margin for expansion of the first plastic lens in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis to control the deformation of the first plastic lens. Moreover, the narrower width of the annular structure corresponding to the gap than the width of the first region prevents the plastic lens from being affected when the plastic lens barrel is compressed by the frame elements, thereby maintaining optical quality.
[0059] Specifically, the frame element may be a sleeve, frame, base, lens holding element, and is not limited thereto.
[0060] The imaging lens may further include a protruding structure disposed on the first outer surface of the plastic lens barrel and corresponding to at least one annular structure. The protruding structure protrudes away from the at least one annular structure and can maintain a gap with the frame element. This improves mechanical strength to control deformation of the plastic lens barrel.
[0061] The protruding structure may include a plurality of sub-protruding structures, which are arranged at intervals. This allows for the flow of material through the gaps on both sides of the protruding structure after deformation, thereby further maintaining the deformation margin of the first plastic lens.
[0062] On the cross-section parallel to the optical axis, the minimum width of the gap corresponding to the first region is W, which satisfies the following condition: 0.0012 mm ≤ W ≤ 0.24 mm. This improves the stability of the mechanism and thus increases yield while maintaining sufficient deformation margin.
[0063] In a cross-section parallel to the optical axis, the second region may not overlap with the first region. This ensures the deformation margin of the first plastic lens in the direction perpendicular to the optical axis.
[0064] In a cross-section parallel to the optical axis, the first plastic lens is defined with a lens diameter of D, and the plastic barrel in the first region has a barrel thickness of T, which satisfies the following condition: 0.018 ≤ T / D ≤ 0.6. This guides the direction of lens deformation while maintaining the lens spacing.
[0065] The number of at least one annular structure can be multiple. This can further maintain the spacing between the lenses to ensure optical quality.
[0066] The lens may further include a second plastic lens, with at least one annular structure disposed between the first and second plastic lenses. The second plastic lens may physically contact the first inner surface and may correspond to the gap. Thus, the at least one annular structure has the function of maintaining the lens spacing, which can further improve optical performance.
[0067] At least one annular structure may be disposed adjacent to the first plastic lens. This further maintains the mating relationship between the first plastic lens and the annular structure, thereby improving assembly efficiency.
[0068] The various technical features in the imaging lens module disclosed above can be combined and configured to achieve corresponding effects.
