Claims

1. A hydrogel composition with minimal viscosity change before and after sterilization, comprising the following components: (1) 2.5-8% by weight of carboxymethyl cellulose (based on the total weight of the composition); (2) 1.9-3% by weight of polyethylene oxide; (3) 0.1-0.9% by weight of calcium chloride; and (4) 0.1-0.9% by weight of sodium chloride; wherein the weight ratio of calcium chloride and sodium chloride in the composition is 1:1, and the viscosity change of the composition after sterilization at 121°C and 15 psi is less than 20%.

2. A hydrogel composition with minimal viscosity change before and after sterilization, comprising (1) 2.5-8% by weight of carboxymethyl cellulose (based on the total weight of the composition); (2) 1.9-3% by weight of polyethylene oxide; (3) 0.1-0.9% by weight of calcium chloride; (4) 0.1-0.9% by weight of sodium chloride; and (5) water; wherein the weight ratio of calcium chloride and sodium chloride in the composition is 1:1, and the viscosity change of the composition after sterilization at 121°C and 15 psi is less than 20%.

3. The hydrogel composition of claim 1 or 2, which can prevent cell migration.

4. The hydrogel composition of claim 1, further comprising one or more drugs, bioactive compounds, absorbent materials, personal care compounds, active ingredients, therapeutic adjuvants, or combinations thereof, to form a dressing or drug with therapeutic efficacy.

5. A method for manufacturing a hydrogel composition as claimed in claim 1 or 2, comprising the following steps performed in sequence: (1) preparing an aqueous solution of calcium chloride and mixing it evenly; (2) adding sodium chloride to the aqueous solution and mixing it evenly; (3) adding polyethylene oxide to the aqueous solution and mixing it evenly; (4) adding carboxymethyl cellulose to the aqueous solution and mixing it evenly; and (5) adding water to adjust the final weight percentage of the components contained in the composition.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein the final weight percentage of the calcium chloride ranges from 0.1% to 0.9%; the final weight percentage of the sodium chloride ranges from 0.1% to 0.9%; the final weight percentage of the carboxymethyl cellulose is 2.5% to 8%; and wherein the weight ratio of the calcium chloride and sodium chloride contained in the composition is 1:

1.

7. The method of claim 5, wherein the final weight percentage concentration of the polyethylene oxide is in the range of 1.9-3%.
