Abstract

An optical fiber cable includes an optical fiber bundle and at least three bundles of wires. The at least three bundles of wires are bundled around the outside of the optical fiber bundle. Each bundle of wires includes a loop portion and two yarn portions. The loop portion connects to the two yarn portions, and the loop portion is bent to be located between the two yarn portions. The loop portion of the first bundle of wires overlaps and is nested on the two yarn portions of the second bundle of wires adjacent to it. The loop portion of the second bundle of wires overlaps and is nested on the two yarn portions of the third bundle of wires adjacent to it, forming a weft-knitted structure. A straight line connecting the center of the loop portion of the first bundle of wires and the center of the loop portion of the second bundle of wires extends along a first direction. A straight line connecting the center of the loop portion of the second bundle of wires and the center of the loop portion of the third bundle of wires also extends along the first direction.

Claims

1. An optical fiber cable comprising: an optical fiber bundle; and at least three bundles of wires bundled around the outside of the optical fiber bundle, wherein each bundle of wires includes a loop portion and two yarn portions, the loop portion connecting the two yarn portions, and the loop portion being bent to be located between the two yarn portions; wherein the loop portion of a first bundle of wires overlaps and is fitted onto the two yarn portions of a second bundle of wires adjacent to its side, and the loop portion of the second bundle of wires overlaps and is fitted onto the two yarn portions of a third bundle of wires adjacent to its side, thereby forming a weft-knitted structure, wherein a straight line connecting the center of the loop portion of the first bundle of wires and the center of the loop portion of the second bundle of wires extends along a first direction, and a straight line connecting the center of the loop portion of the second bundle of wires and the center of the loop portion of the third bundle of wires extends parallel to the first direction.

2. The optical fiber cable as claimed in claim 1, wherein the loop portion includes a bent section and two connecting sections, the two ends of the bent section are respectively connected to the two connecting sections, and the other ends of the two connecting sections are respectively connected to the two yarn portions.

3. The fiber optic cable as described in claim 2, wherein the loop portion of the first bundle is overlapped and fitted onto the two yarn portions of the second bundle adjacent to the two connecting sections.

4. The fiber optic cable as described in claim 2, wherein at least a portion of the two connecting segments overlap.

5. The fiber optic cable as described in claim 1, wherein the first direction forms an acute angle with a second direction in which the fiber bundle extends.

6. The optical fiber cable as described in claim 5, wherein the weft direction of the weft braided structure extends parallel to the second direction of the optical fiber bundle.

7. The optical fiber cable as described in claim 1, wherein the at least three bundles of wire are distributed approximately equidistantly on the outside of the optical fiber bundle.

8. The optical fiber cable as claimed in claim 1, wherein in the at least three bundles, the loop portion of the third bundle overlaps and is sleeved on the two yarn portions of the first bundle, the third bundle is adjacent to the first bundle and located on the other side relative to the second bundle, and the straight line connecting the center of the loop portion of the third bundle and the center of the loop portion of the first bundle extends parallel to the first direction.

9. The fiber optic cable as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least three bundles further include a fourth bundle adjacent to the first bundle and located on the opposite side relative to the second bundle, wherein the loop portion of the third bundle overlaps and is fitted over the two yarn portions of the fourth bundle, and the straight line connecting the center of the loop portion of the fourth bundle and the center of the loop portion of the third bundle extends parallel to the first direction, and the loop portion of the fourth bundle overlaps and is fitted over the two yarn portions of the first bundle, and the straight line connecting the center of the loop portion of the fourth bundle and the center of the loop portion of the first bundle extends parallel to the first direction.

10. The fiber optic cable as described in claim 1 further includes a protective sleeve for housing the fiber bundle therein. The protective sleeve is located between the fiber bundle and the at least three bundles of wire.

11. The optical fiber cable as claimed in claim 1, wherein the weft direction of the weft braid is parallel to a circumferential direction of the optical fiber bundle.
