Abstract
Description
Apparatus and method for processing goods delivery information, and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium thereon containing a program for executing the method in a computer. This invention relates to an apparatus and method for processing delivery information. More specifically, this invention relates to a method and an electronic device therein that predicts the time required for an item to become deliverable, the time required for a delivery person to pick up the item after ordering, and the time required for a delivery person to complete delivery after picking up the item, thereby confirming the delivery completion time of the item. With the development of electronic technology, e-commerce has become a significant area of shopping. Customers can purchase items online without going to a shopping mall or market in person, and the items purchased online will be delivered to the customer's desired delivery location. With the widespread use of the Internet, the e-commerce market is gradually expanding, especially showing the following trends: the demand for contactless services has surged due to the spread of infectious diseases, and the delivery of goods (such as food) with short circulation or consumption periods is also common. For items such as food, fast and timely delivery is particularly important. Therefore, it is undesirable for the delivery person to arrive at the store too late compared to the preparation time of the items. In addition, it is necessary to inform customers of the final arrival time of the items as accurately as possible. However, the time required for preparing items, assigning delivery personnel, and carrying out delivery can vary, making it difficult to accurately inform customers of the arrival time of their items. For related information, see previous references such as KR101870190B1 or KR20050108168A. At this point, it can be understood that the combination of blocks in the flowchart and the flowchart itself can be executed by computer program instructions. These computer program instructions can be installed on the processor of a general-purpose computer, a special-purpose computer, or other programmable data processing equipment. Therefore, the instructions executed by the processor of the computer or other programmable data processing equipment generate mechanisms that perform the functions described in the flowchart blocks. In order to implement the functions in a specific way, these computer program instructions can also be stored in computer-usable or computer-readable memory that is accessible to a computer or other programmable data processing equipment. Therefore, the instructions stored in that computer-usable or computer-readable memory can also generate manufactured items including instruction mechanisms that perform the functions described in the flowchart blocks. The computer program instructions can also be installed on a computer or other programmable data processing equipment. Therefore, a series of action steps can be performed on the computer or other programmable data processing equipment to generate a process executed by the computer. Thus, the instructions executed by the computer or other programmable data processing equipment provide steps for performing the functions described in the flowchart blocks. Furthermore, each block can represent a module, segment, or portion of code comprising one or more executable instructions used to perform a specific logical function. It should also be noted that in some alternative implementations, the functions mentioned in the blocks may be generated out of order. For example, two blocks shown consecutively may actually be executed simultaneously, or sometimes in reverse order depending on their corresponding functions. Figure 1 is a schematic diagram showing the configuration of a system for processing delivery information according to an embodiment. According to various embodiments, the system for processing delivery information includes an electronic device 110 and a user's device 120. One embodiment of the system for processing delivery information may further include a delivery person's device 130. Another embodiment of the system for processing delivery information may further include a network supporting information transmission and reception between at least some of the electronic device 110, the user's device 120, the delivery person's device 130, and external devices. The electronic device 110, the user's device 120, and the deliveryman's device 130 of the system for processing delivery information may include transceivers, memory, and processors. Furthermore, the electronic device 110, the user's device 120, and the deliveryman's device 130 each refer to a unit that processes at least one function or action, which can be implemented in hardware or software, or a combination of hardware and software. On the other hand, throughout this embodiment, the electronic device 110, the user's device 120, and the delivery person's device 130 are described as separate devices and servers, but they can be logically divided structures that can be implemented in a single device or server through separate functions. For example, the electronic device 110 may include the delivery person's device 130, or be integrated with the delivery person's device 130. However, in this case, a series of methods for processing delivery information can be similarly implemented through data transmission and reception between the electronic device 110, the user's device 120, and the delivery person's device 130. For example, in the case of including the delivery person's device 130 or an integrated device with the delivery person's device 130, communication with the delivery person's device 130 can be understood as a process of data transmission and reception between these components (e.g., with the device's processor) within the device. According to one embodiment, the electronic device 110, the user's device 120, and the delivery person's device 130 may include multiple computer systems or computer software implemented by a network server. For example, at least a portion of the electronic device 110, the user's device 120, and the delivery person's device 130 may refer to computer systems and computer software that can connect to lower-level devices communicating with other network servers via computer networks such as intranets or the Internet to receive job execution requests, execute the job, and provide execution results. Furthermore, at least a portion of the electronic device 110, the user's device 120, and the delivery person's device 130 can also be understood as including a series of applications capable of operating on a network server, and a broader concept encompassing various databases built internally. For example, at least a portion of the electronic device 110, the user's device 120, and the delivery person's device 130 may be implemented using various network server programs provided under operating systems such as DOS, Windows, Linux, UNIX, or MacOS. Electronic device 110, as a device that generates various information and provides it to other servers and devices, may include computer devices, mobile communication terminals, and servers. For example, electronic device 110 may confirm the delivery completion time of the first item based on delivery personnel information, etc., after the user obtains the order information for the first item. More specifically, the electronic device 110 that obtains the user's order information for the first item can obtain first time information, which predicts the time required for the first item to become deliverable, second time information, which predicts the time required for the delivery person to obtain the first item after the user orders it, and third time information, which predicts the time required for the delivery person to complete the delivery of the first item after obtaining it. Based on the first time information, the second time information, and the third time information, the predicted time of delivery completion of the first item is confirmed. In this regard, the first time information, the second time information, and the third time information do not necessarily have to be obtained in this order, and their acquisition methods can also be determined differently as follows: the acquisition order of them may be different according to the embodiment, or at least a portion of the plurality of information may be obtained simultaneously. According to one embodiment, the electronic device 110 that confirms the predicted delivery completion time of the first item can provide information including the result of confirming the predicted delivery completion time to the user's device 120. In this case, the user's device 120 can display a user interface including the result of confirming the predicted delivery completion time of the first item. The user can confirm the predicted delivery completion time of the first item based on the displayed interface. On the other hand, as will be explained in more detail below in Figure 2, etc., the “delivery completion prediction time” described in this invention is not limited to a specific point in time on the same day. The “delivery completion prediction time” may include a plurality of points in time, and further, may include a time period equivalent to listing a plurality of points in time consecutively. The electronic device 110 can receive the user's order information for the first item from the user's device 120. However, the electronic device 110 does not necessarily have to directly receive the user's order information for the first item from the user's device 120. In some embodiments, other devices may receive input via the user's device 120 and then transmit it to the electronic device 110. However, for ease of explanation, the following description will focus on an embodiment where the electronic device 110 obtains the user's order information for the first item from the user's device 120. But the following description is also applicable to situations where the electronic device 110 obtains the user's order information through other methods. On the other hand, various examples may exist regarding the acquisition of the first, second, and third time information. For example, at least a portion of the first, second, and third time information may be received from the user's device 120, the delivery person's device 130, and other external devices. However, for ease of explanation, the following description focuses on an embodiment where the electronic device 110 generates the first, second, and third time information, but the following description is also applicable to situations where the electronic device 110 acquires at least a portion of the time information by other methods. The following describes in more detail matters related to the operation of the electronic device 110, as shown in Figures 2 to 5. The user's device 120, used by the user to purchase items through an e-commerce website, may include computer devices, mobile communication terminals, and servers. As a terminal operated and managed by the user, the user's device 120 can send and receive various information with other devices such as the electronic device 110 and the delivery person's device 130 via the network. For example, the user's device 120 can receive the user's item order input and transmit the user's order information to the electronic device 110. The items are not necessarily limited to those to be delivered; they may include all items that do not require delivery, such as mobile vouchers or game items. For ease of explanation, an embodiment of a first item ordered by the user for delivery will be described below. In addition, the user's device 120 can perform various functions so that the user can confirm information related to the order of the item, such as receiving real-time delivery status information from the electronic device 110 or the deliveryman's device 130 and providing it to the user. The deliveryman's device 130, used by the deliveryman to perform delivery-related tasks, may include computer devices, mobile communication terminals, and servers. The deliveryman's device 130 can send and receive various information with other devices such as the electronic device 110 and the user's device 120 via a network. The deliveryman's device 130 can receive and relay responsibility requests (including recommendations and instructions) for delivery tasks from the electronic device 110 to the deliveryman. In addition, the deliveryman's device 130 can perform various functions to enable the deliveryman to handle delivery tasks such as generating delivery status information and providing it to the electronic device 110. Actions associated with a series of information processing methods in one of the various embodiments can be implemented by a single physical device or by a combination of multiple physical devices. For example, a portion of the components of a system for processing delivery information can be implemented by a single physical device, while the remainder can be implemented by other physical devices. For instance, a single physical device can be implemented as a part of electronic device 110, while other physical devices can be implemented as a part of user device 120, delivery person device 130, or other external devices. The components of a system for processing delivery information can also be implemented as follows: they can be distributed across different physical devices, and the distributed components can be organically combined to perform the functions and actions of the system for processing delivery information. For example, electronic device 110 in this specification may also include at least one sub-device, whereby a portion of the actions performed by electronic device 110 are executed by a first sub-device, and other portions of the actions are performed by a second sub-device. Figure 2 is a flowchart of an electronic device processing information method according to an embodiment. Referring to FIG2, an electronic device 110 of one embodiment obtains order information (210) of a user for a first item. As described above, the user's order information for the first item can be received from the user's device 120, but is not limited thereto. The electronic device 110 that obtains the user's order information obtains first time information (220) predicting the time required for the first item to become deliverable after the first item is ordered. Furthermore, the electronic device 110 that obtains the user's order information obtains second time information (230) predicting the time required for the delivery person to retrieve the first item. As described above, it is not necessary for the electronic device 110 to obtain the second time information after obtaining the first time information. For example, the electronic device 110 may obtain the first and second time information simultaneously, or obtain the second time information before the first time information. However, in this invention, for ease of explanation, only the embodiment in which the second time information is obtained after obtaining the first time information will be described. The following describes in more detail the matters related to obtaining the first and second time information, as shown in Figure 4, etc. The electronic device 110 obtains third time information (240) that predicts the time required for a delivery person to complete the delivery of the first item after obtaining it. Similar to the first and second time information, the third time information is not necessarily obtained after obtaining the first and second time information; for example, it can be obtained simultaneously with at least one of the first and second time information. However, in this invention, for ease of explanation, an embodiment in which the electronic device 110 obtains the third time information after obtaining the first and second time information will be described. At least one of the first, second, and third time information may include time period information corresponding to the predicted result of the required time. Time period information refers to continuous time, such as "30 minutes to 40 minutes" information. However, time period information is not limited to including a single continuous time range; for example, it may also consist of multiple time ranges that are separated from each other, such as "20 minutes to 30 minutes" or "35 minutes to 45 minutes". On the other hand, the above example corresponds to a situation where the time period information includes continuous time (e.g., required time), but the time period information is not limited to this. For example, the time period information may include continuous time such as "14:05 to 14:25", and it can also be set based on various methods. The first, second, and third time information do not correspond to the same time period. For example, their time periods may differ as follows: the time period corresponding to the first time information is "5 minutes to 10 minutes," the time period corresponding to the second time information is "15 minutes to 25 minutes," and the time period corresponding to the third time information is "10 minutes to 20 minutes." This content can be clearly understood by considering that the first, second, and third time information are different. According to one embodiment, the time period information corresponding to the first time information, the second time information, and the third time information may include a time range with a prediction reliability of a set level or higher. For example, the time period information corresponding to the first time information may include a time range with a prediction reliability of 90%, which may refer to a time period range set in such a way that 90 out of 100 events actually occur fall within that time period. For ease of explanation, the first time information is used in the description, but the second and third time information can also be understood in the same way. However, the time periods corresponding to the first, second, and third time information do not all need to correspond to a time range with a predicted reliability of a set level or higher. It is also possible that only a portion of them correspond to a time range with a predicted reliability of a set level or higher, or, according to the embodiment, none of them correspond to a time range with a predicted reliability of a set level or higher. Furthermore, when two or more of the time periods corresponding to the first, second, and third time information correspond to a time range with a predicted reliability of a set level or higher, the predicted reliability set for each time period will also be different (for example, the first time information may include a time range with a predicted reliability of 90%, and conversely, the second time information may include a time range with a predicted reliability of 95%). According to one example, electronic device 110 can obtain a time period corresponding to the prediction reliability based on a normal distribution. The normal distribution can be set based on its standard deviation, and various factors can be considered to determine the standard deviation for each time period, such as history, but it is not limited to this. According to one embodiment, the time period information may include representative value information and time period length information. The representative value information may include, for example, the minimum, maximum, or average value within the time period. The time period length information may include a value corresponding to the overall length of the time period, or a value corresponding to half the overall length of the time period. The method for setting the representative value and length information of the time period is not limited, as long as the time period can be specified based on these values. Figure 3 shows one example of time period information. Referring further to Figure 3 (300), when the diagonal part represents the object time period, the time period information can be represented as (representative value: a, length: A). In this case, in a 1D coordinate system with time set as the x-axis, the time period can be from (a-A) to (a+A). For ease of explanation, the following example illustrates a case where the representative value information includes the average value and the time period length information includes a value corresponding to half of the entire time period length. For example, when the time period information is "10 minutes to 20 minutes", the average value is 15 minutes and half of the entire time period length is 5 minutes. Therefore, the time period information can be represented as (representative value: 15 minutes, length: 5 minutes). The following can omit entries such as "Representative value:" and "Length:", and simply represent time period information as (15 minutes, 5 minutes), which can be understood as representing the average value and the value corresponding to half the length of the entire time period, respectively. Returning to Figure 2, the electronic device 110 confirms the predicted delivery completion time (250) of the first item based on the first time information, the second time information, and the third time information. The "predicted delivery completion time" described in this invention is not limited to a single point in time and can be defined in various ways, such as including a plurality of points in time or a time period corresponding to a plurality of consecutively listed points in time. According to an embodiment, it may also include a plurality of time periods in which the predicted delivery completion times are not consecutive. However, for ease of explanation, the following describes an embodiment in which the predicted delivery completion time includes information over a continuous time period. According to one embodiment, the electronic device 110 can confirm the delivery completion prediction time by confirming at least one of a representative value corresponding to the delivery completion prediction time and the length of the time period information corresponding to the delivery completion prediction time. That is, the delivery completion prediction time can be expressed in the same way as the first time information, the second time information, and the third time information mentioned above, as (representative value: a, length: A). However, the delivery completion prediction time may differ in that its representative value is the expected arrival "time" rather than the required "time", but the present invention is not limited to this embodiment. For example, the delivery completion prediction time can of course also be expressed in the form of required time such as "xx minutes from the order time" or "xx minutes from now" instead of explicitly stating the expected arrival time. The following describes in more detail the matters related to confirming the predicted delivery completion time, as shown in Figure 5, etc. Figure 4 is an example of one method for obtaining first time information and second time information according to a specific embodiment. Referring to FIG4, an example (400) of a method for an electronic device 110 that obtains order information of a user for a first item to obtain first time information and second time information is shown. Symbol 410 corresponds to one example of a method for obtaining first time information, and symbol 420 corresponds to one example of a method for obtaining second time information. According to one embodiment, the action of electronic device 110 in obtaining user order information may include the step of electronic device 110 approving user order request, or the step of store (e.g., merchant) preparing goods approving user order request, etc. The approval of electronic device 110 may include approval by the administrator of electronic device 110, etc. (401). Electronic device 110, which obtains user order information for item 1, predicts the time required to prepare item 1 (item 1 preparation time information) (410). According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 can predict the time required for item 1 to become deliverable based on the history of preparation time. Relatedly, the history of preparation time may include details of past preparation times for item 1, details of past preparation times for items by the store currently preparing item 1, and even details of preparation times for items when both the item and the store are different. Furthermore, according to the embodiment, in order to predict the time required to prepare the first item, the first time information can be obtained by considering various factors such as: statistical information related to the region where the order was placed, or information on the current operational status of the store (e.g., the number of orders that the store is currently processing or is expected to process, the number of store staff, and the store's idle time, etc.). The time required to prepare the first item in one embodiment may include the time required to cook the food 411, but the scope of the invention is not limited to this embodiment. The time required to prepare the first item may correspond to the first time information 412. On the other hand, the electronic device 110, which obtains the user's order information for the first item, predicts the time 420 (second time information) required for the delivery person to obtain the first item. According to one embodiment, the electronic device 110 can predict the time required for the delivery person to obtain the first item based on the history associated with a plurality of candidate delivery persons. Relatedly, the history associated with the plurality of candidate delivery persons may include various historical records such as details of past candidate delivery persons accepting or rejecting delivery requests and details of the time required for the delivery person currently assigned to deliver the first item to move to the store. Furthermore, according to the embodiment, in order to predict the time required for the delivery person to obtain the first item, various factors can be considered to obtain the second time information, such as statistical information related to the area where the order was placed, current weather information, current traffic conditions information, and the best route information for delivery. According to one embodiment, electronic device 110 predicts at least one of the time required for a delivery person to deliver the first item and the time required for the delivery person to arrive at the pickup location of the first item, thereby obtaining second time information. Relatedly, determining the time required for a delivery person to deliver the first item may include at least one of a predicted result of the time 421 required to confirm a standby delivery person who can handle the delivery and a predicted result of the time 422 required for the standby delivery person to determine whether to proceed with the delivery, or a combination thereof, but the scope of the invention is not limited to this embodiment. Furthermore, determining the time required for the delivery person to arrive at the pickup location of the first item may include at least one of the predicted time T1 travel (e.g., time to retrieve other items from other stores) required for the delivery person to handle previous business, and the predicted time T1 nearby for the delivery person to move to the store where the first item is prepared, or a combination thereof 423, but the scope of the present invention is not limited to this embodiment. In one embodiment, the second time information may correspond to the sum of at least a portion of the following: the time 421 required to confirm that a standby delivery person can handle the delivery; the time 422 required for the standby delivery person to determine whether to proceed with the delivery; the time T1 travel required for the delivery person to handle previous business; and the time T1 nearby for the delivery person to move to the store where the first item is prepared. For example, in one embodiment, the second time information may correspond to the sum of the time 422 required for the standby delivery person to determine whether to proceed with the delivery; the time T1 travel required for the delivery person to handle previous business; and the time T1 nearby for the delivery person to move to the store where the first item is prepared (refer to symbol 424). On the other hand, since the time 421 required to confirm that a standby delivery person can handle the delivery occurs instantaneously, the second time information may be confirmed based on the remaining factors, regardless of this time. Therefore, in the embodiment, at least a portion of the factors described above may be disregarded. On the other hand, if the delivery person arrives at the store before the store finishes preparing the first item, a delivery person waiting time 425 is generated. Conversely, if the store finishes preparing the first item before the delivery person arrives at the store, a store waiting time 413 is generated. However, this time may not be included in the first time information and the second time information. According to one embodiment, the electronic device 110 can obtain at least one of first time information and second time information based on a machine learning method. More specifically, the electronic device 110 learns a machine learning model based on the elements described above in relation to the first time information, and when a user orders the first item, it can input elements related to the current situation to obtain an output. Similarly, for the second time information, the electronic device 110 can learn a machine learning model based on the elements described above in relation to the second time information, and when a user orders the first item, it can input elements related to the current situation to obtain an output. Furthermore, according to the embodiment, when obtaining the third time information, a machine learning model can also be used (the method for obtaining the third time information is described below in Figure 5). The process of obtaining the first time-series information, as described above, corresponds to the process of obtaining the standard deviation corresponding to the first time-series information. Similarly, the process of obtaining the second time-series information, as described above, corresponds to the process of obtaining the standard deviation corresponding to the second time-series information. The same applies to the third time-series information. The electronic device 110 that obtains the standard deviation can obtain the normal distribution corresponding to the standard deviation, and thus can confirm the time range with the set prediction reliability and obtain time information. Figure 5 is an illustration of an example of a method for confirming the predicted delivery time of the first item in a specific embodiment. Referring to Figure 5 (500), the time 530 (third time information) required for the delivery person to complete the delivery of the first item after obtaining the first item is predicted. The process of obtaining the third time information may be carried out together with (or even before) at least one of the processes of obtaining the first time information 510 and obtaining the second time information 520, but in this invention, for ease of explanation, it will be described as if the third time information is obtained after obtaining the first and second time information. According to one embodiment, the electronic device 110 can predict the time required for a delivery person to complete the delivery of the first item based on the history associated with a plurality of candidate delivery persons. Relatedly, the history associated with the plurality of candidate delivery persons may include various historical details such as the time required for the delivery person currently assigned to deliver the first item. Furthermore, according to another embodiment, the electronic device 110 can further predict the time required to complete the delivery of the first item based on whether there are other delivery services that need to be processed before the delivery of the first item. In the case of other delivery services, the device can further consider the attributes of those delivery services or their destination, and predict the time required to process those delivery services. Furthermore, according to the embodiment, in order to predict the time required for the delivery person to complete the delivery of the first item, statistical information related to the area where the order was placed can be considered, or current weather information, current traffic conditions information, and the best route information for delivery can be considered, and various factors can be considered to obtain the three time information. According to one embodiment, the time required for a delivery person to complete the delivery of the first item may include at least one of the predicted time T2 travel (e.g., the time required for the delivery person to handle previous business, such as the time to handle other deliveries received earlier) and the predicted time T2 nearby for the delivery person to move to the delivery destination of the first item, or the sum of the two, but the scope of the invention is not limited to this embodiment. Furthermore, as mentioned above, machine learning models can be used to obtain third-time information. The electronic device 110, which obtains the first time information, the second time information, and the third time information, can determine the predicted delivery completion time of the first item based on these. Specifically, the electronic device 110 can determine the length of the time period information corresponding to the predicted delivery completion time based on at least one of the length of the first time period information included in the first time information, the length of the second time period information included in the second time information, and the length of the third time period information included in the third time information. For example, when the length of the first time period information is A, the length of the second time period information is B, and the length of the third time period information is C, the length D of the time period information corresponding to the predicted delivery completion time can be the same as the following formula 1. [Formula 1] When at least a portion of the first, second, and third time information corresponds to fixed time information (or point-in-time information) that is not time-segment information, if the time-segment information is calculated to be 0, then the above formula 1 can be used in the same way for that information. For example, when the second time information includes time information that is fixed as "20 minutes", B can be 0 and D can be as follows: General calculation (of course, when the first time information includes fixed time information, it can also be calculated as follows) (General calculation). Furthermore, to reduce computational load and save resources, in the case where the electronic device 110 predicts A >> B, B is not calculated and is immediately approximate to 0; or in the case where A << B, A is not calculated and is immediately approximate to 0. In these cases, the same method can be used. or calculate. Furthermore, the electronic device 110 can determine the representative value corresponding to the predicted delivery completion time based on at least one of the representative values included in the first time information, the second time information, and the third time information. Firstly, when the representative value included in the first time information is 'a' and the representative value included in the second time information is 'b', the item acquisition time can be determined as follows: The reason for this is that, as mentioned above, even if the preparation of the first item is completed, the first item cannot be obtained and delivered before the delivery person arrives at the store. Subsequently, the time interval d from the time of ordering the first item to the representative value corresponding to the predicted delivery completion time can be calculated by using the representative value c of the third time information calculated at the item acquisition time. This time interval can be the same as the following formula 2. [Formula 2] The electronic device 110 can determine the representative value corresponding to the predicted delivery completion time by calculating d from the order time of the first item. Based on the above description, the confirmation of the delivery completion prediction time in one embodiment of the present invention can be concluded. As a specific application example, if an order is placed at 15:00, and the first time information is (20 minutes, 5 minutes), the second time information is (25 minutes, 10 minutes), and the third time information is (10 minutes, 3 minutes), then according to Formula 1, the length of the time period information corresponding to the delivery completion prediction time is... Therefore, it is calculated as According to Equation 2, the time interval corresponding to the representative value of the predicted delivery completion time is: Therefore, it can be calculated as 35. The conclusion is that the predicted delivery completion time can be calculated as (15:35). ).
