Modular bench-seating system

Abstract

A modular seating system capable of rapid configuration utilizes a longitudinally extending beam with an upward-opening mounting channel. The channel is flanked by snap-fit ​​guide rails with lower flanges, and reference positioning holes are periodically inserted into the web. Seat modules are secured to the outer wall of the snap-fit ​​guide rails via a double-plate clamping mechanism comprising a mounting base and a reinforcing support plate, and are provided with high pull-out and torsional strength through positioning pins inserted into the reference holes. After loosening the bolts and removing the positioning pins, the modules can be quickly slid along the channel for repositioning. The cover modules are divided into two types: an independent first cover plate and a second cover plate that mates with the seat. Both are engaged with the guide rails using outward-sloping tenons at the bottom. The independent first cover plate can be interchanged with power / signal modules such as USB, AC, or wireless charging, armrest modules, and table modules. Through this structure, the present invention achieves rapid assembly and disassembly, flexible configuration, multi-functional integration, and ease of maintenance for the seating system.
