Abstract
Claims
1. A liquid treatment method suitable for denitrifying a liquid comprising nitrogen-containing compounds, the liquid treatment method comprising: A biological treatment device, at least one reducing agent, and the liquid are brought into contact, and a catalyst is brought into contact with the liquid, wherein the catalyst is adapted to cause the nitrogen-containing compound to undergo a denitrification reaction. The biological treatment device includes microorganisms, including at least one of aerobic bacteria and facultative bacteria. The biological treatment device is used to adjust the redox potential of the liquid to below -100 mV. The catalyst is used to cause the nitrogen-containing compound in the liquid having a redox potential below -100 mV to undergo a denitrification reaction. The redox potential of the liquid is controlled to below -100 mV. The catalyst includes at least one of a metal catalyst and an immobilized enzyme.
2. The liquid treatment method as described in claim 1, wherein the step of controlling the redox potential of the liquid to below -100 mV includes: Adjust the contact time between the biological treatment device and the liquid.
3. The liquid treatment method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the biological treatment device comprises a plurality of PVA gel particles, each of the PVA gel particles comprising the microorganism.
4. The liquid treatment method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the biological treatment device includes a polyurethane foam carrier, the polyurethane foam carrier including the microorganism.
5. The liquid treatment method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the microorganism includes the facultative bacteria adapted to cause the nitrogen-containing compound in the liquid to undergo a denitrification reaction.
6. The liquid treatment method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the metal catalyst comprises at least one of silver, ruthenium, manganese, iridium, and platinum.
7. The liquid treatment method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one reducing agent comprises an organic reducing agent, the organic reducing agent comprising at least one of methanol, glucose and sodium acetate.
8. The liquid treatment method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the at least one reducing agent comprises an inorganic reducing agent, the inorganic reducing agent comprising at least one of a reducing sulfide and hydrogen.
9. The liquid treatment method as described in claim 1, further comprising the steps of contacting the biological treatment device, the at least one reducing agent, and the liquid: Nutrients are added to bring the biological treatment device, the at least one reducing agent, the nutrient, and the liquid into contact.
10. The liquid treatment method as claimed in claim 9, wherein the nutrient comprises at least one of potassium ions, calcium ions, magnesium ions, phosphate ions, sulfate and molybdate.
11. The liquid treatment method as described in claim 1, further comprising: The temperature of the liquid should be between 20 and 70 degrees Celsius.
12. The liquid treatment method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the steps of contacting the biological treatment device, the at least one reducing agent and the liquid, and contacting the catalyst with the liquid include one of the following: simultaneously contacting the biological treatment device, the at least one reducing agent and the catalyst with the liquid; and contacting the biological treatment device and the at least one reducing agent with the liquid first, adjusting the redox potential of the liquid to below -100 mV, and then contacting the catalyst with the liquid.
