Abstract

A handheld cryogenic atmospheric pressure plasma jet device includes a main body and a power control box. The main body includes a cover, a housing, a fan, a first electrode, a second electrode, and a nozzle. The cover has a plurality of vents. The housing is connected to the cover and has an vent located away from the cover. The fan is disposed within the housing and configured to introduce airflow from outside the housing into the housing via the vents. The first electrode is disposed within the housing and located on the side of the fan away from the cover. The second electrode is disposed within the housing and located on the side of the first electrode away from the fan. The nozzle is disposed between the first and second electrodes. Airflow passes sequentially through the first electrode, the nozzle, and the second electrode. The power control box is configured to supply power to the fan and create a strong electric field between the first and second electrodes, causing the airflow flowing through the second electrode to form a jet plasma jet.

Claims

1. A handheld cryogenic atmospheric pressure plasma beam device, comprising: a body including: a cover having a plurality of vents; a housing connected to the cover and having an outlet remotely from the cover; a fan disposed in the housing and configured to introduce an airflow from outside the housing into the housing through the vents; a first electrode disposed in the housing and located on the side of the fan remotely from the cover; a second electrode disposed in the housing and located on the side of the first electrode remotely from the fan; and a nozzle disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein the airflow sequentially passes through the first electrode, the nozzle, and the second electrode; and a power control box configured to supply power to the fan and configured to form a strong electric field between the first electrode and the second electrode, causing the airflow flowing through the second electrode to form a jet plasma beam. The second electrode includes a perforation, and the airflow passes through the perforation to generate the jet plasma and is ejected to the outside of the housing. The body further includes a chamber disposed between the nozzle and the housing and communicating with the air outlet. The nozzle includes a plurality of holes, and the airflow in the nozzle enters the chamber through the holes and flows out to the outside of the housing through the air outlet. A first distance is formed between the lower edge of one of the holes and the second electrode, and a second distance is formed between the first electrode and the second electrode. The first distance is greater than the second distance.

2. The handheld cryogenic atmospheric plasma beam device as described in claim 1, wherein the second spacing is about 15 mm to about 20 mm.

3. The handheld low-temperature atmospheric pressure plasma beam device as described in claim 1, wherein the cover includes a first cover, a second cover and a filter cotton, the first cover is connected to the outer shell, the second cover is disposed inside the first cover, the pores are distributed on the first cover and the second cover, and the filter cotton is disposed between the first cover and the second cover.

4. The handheld cryogenic atmospheric pressure plasma beam device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the body further includes a bracket that connects to the nozzle and is disposed between the fan and the housing, and configured to support the fan and the first electrode.

5. The handheld cryogenic atmospheric pressure plasma beam device as described in claim 4, wherein the body further includes a fixing element disposed between the bracket and the first electrode, and fixing the first electrode to the bracket.

6. The handheld cryogenic atmospheric pressure plasma beam device as claimed in claim 4, wherein the body further includes at least one protrusion rib disposed on one side of the housing facing the bracket and fixing the bracket in the housing.

7. The handheld cryogenic atmospheric pressure plasma beam device as described in claim 1, wherein the power control box outputs a DC voltage or an AC voltage.
