Abstract

This invention provides a method and system for predicting blast furnace efficiency. The method for predicting blast furnace efficiency includes the following steps: using a fluid dynamics model, based on a feed iron ore composition, a coke composition, a furnace belly gas flow rate, a furnace belly gas temperature, and a furnace belly gas composition, establishing a relationship between the hydrogen change rate in a furnace belly region and the temperature change in a heat retention zone; using a calculation module, calculating the temperature of the heat retention zone based on the relationship; and using a metallurgical mass-energy balance module, obtaining predicted blast furnace efficiency data based on the temperature of the heat retention zone, wherein the predicted blast furnace efficiency data includes at least one of: a coke ratio change, a gas utilization rate, a furnace top gas composition, and a furnace top gas temperature.
