Abstract
Claims
1. A method for processing non-integer gamma codes, executed by a control circuit for driving a display panel, the display panel comprising M×N pixels, where M and N are both positive integers greater than 1, the control circuit comprising a host computer and a driver chip, and the method being characterized by comprising: The host computer and the driver chip work together to periodically use n integer gamma values to perform a gamma conversion on each of the n input grayscale data to generate n output grayscale data, where n is a positive integer greater than 1, and the driver chip drives the display panel according to the output grayscale data. The average value of the n integer gamma values is an integer value with decimals.
2. The method for processing non-integer gamma codes as described in claim 1, wherein, n = M × N, and the n integer gamma values are a set of non-uniform integer gamma values.
3. The method for processing non-integer gamma codes as described in claim 1, wherein, n = k × (M × N), where k is a positive integer greater than 1. The n integer gamma values are composed of k sets of uniform integer gamma values, and there are at least two different uniform integer gamma values in the k sets.
4. The method for processing non-integer gamma codes as described in claim 1, wherein, n = k1 × (M × N) + k2 × (M × N), where k1 and k2 are both positive integers. Among the n integer gamma values, k1 × (M × N) are composed of k1 sets of non-uniform integer gamma values, and k2 × (M × N) are composed of k2 sets of uniform integer gamma values, and at least two of the uniform integer gamma values in the k2 set are different.
5. The method for processing non-integer gamma codes as described in claim 1, wherein, This driver chip is a type of chip selected from a group consisting of display driver chips and touch and display driver integration (TDDI) chips.
6. The method for processing non-integer gamma codes as described in claim 1, wherein, This display panel is a selected display panel from the group consisting of LED display panels, mini-LED display panels, micro-LED display panels, QD-LED display panels and OLED display panels.
7. A display control circuit for executing a non-integer gamma code processing method to drive a display panel, the display panel comprising M×N pixels, where M and N are both positive integers greater than 1, the display control circuit comprising a host computer and a driver chip, and the method comprising: The host computer and the driver chip work together to periodically use n integer gamma values to perform a gamma conversion on each of the n input grayscale data to generate n output grayscale data, where n is a positive integer greater than 1, and the driver chip drives the display panel according to the output grayscale data. The average value of the n integer gamma values is an integer value with decimals.
8. The display control circuit as described in claim 7, wherein, n = M × N, and the n integer gamma values are a set of non-uniform integer gamma values.
9. The display control circuit as described in claim 7, wherein, n = k × (M × N), where k is a positive integer greater than 1. The n integer gamma values are composed of k sets of uniform integer gamma values, and there are at least two different uniform integer gamma values in the k sets.
10. The display control circuit as described in claim 7, wherein, n = k1 × (M × N) + k2 × (M × N), where k1 and k2 are both positive integers. Among the n integer gamma values, k1 × (M × N) are composed of k1 sets of non-uniform integer gamma values, and k2 × (M × N) are composed of k2 sets of uniform integer gamma values, and at least two of the uniform integer gamma values in the k2 set are different.
